We don't really care as long as we get a reasonable impression of how your character behaves. It's also helpful to discuss goals and motivations. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details This is a freeform biography section. Please try to stay below 500 words. Longer is understandable for very old characters and for characters with more convoluted origin stories. Keep in mind that the bio is supposed to help us understand your character's backstory. We're not going to understand anything if you put us to sleep. [break][break] Paragraph form, bullet-point lists, in-character ramblings, etc. are all acceptable. Use whatever format you want as long as it gets information across. Interpretative gifs is probably not the way to go. [break][break] For characters from fictional cultures (made-up countries, aliens, long lost civilizations, pantheons, etc.), please provide some detail on that culture. We don't need a history book, we just need a general idea. If you're not the first character of that culture, feel free to link someone else's app, a plot page, or wherever else we might find the right information. [break][break] Remember to use [break*][break*] tags to doublespace paragraphs. [attr="class","subcat"]matter destruction desiree can destroy and bring out of existence almost any physical substance. as of yet she cannot delete living, intelligent beings--perhaps because they are anchored by souls or something more--but anything else with a physical form she can delete. [attr="class","subcat"]nothingness removal by imagining an object, or rather the concept of an object, desiree can remove nonexistence from it, thus making it real. she can only create fundamentally physical objects (though they can have non-physical properties) and must correctly imagine what she wants to create and what it represents. it's... kind of a fancy form of creation, except she cannot create what already exists. she cannot wantonly create fox-dragons unless they don't already exist and she can determine their specific purpose for existence and how they fit into the grand scheme of things. she can also remove the nonexistence of properties from already existing beings and objects, i.e. removing the mortality of a human to grant them immortality. she cannot use this power on herself. [attr="class","subcat"]nothingness infusion desiree can infuse a physical object with properties of nothingness, as such granting it powers of matter deletion. a swing of an infused blade, in one instance, can delete from existence whatever it physically touches. a bullet can negate whatever it hits. she cannot infuse nothingness with herself or other living beings. [attr="class","subcat"]weapon mastery and access through a number of shady dealings, connections, and licenses, desiree has access to... a whole lot of weapons. no, really, isn't it illegal for a nineteen-year-old girl to be toting around several submachine guns that are solely meant for military use? geez. not only does she possess an absurd amount of firepower, she has mastery over it as well. she can wield anything with a blade, from a butterfly knife to a chainsaw, with deadly grace and efficiency. she knows the ins and outs of each gun she wields and shoot with nigh flawless accuracy. often people claim that this is a superpower in itself, and maybe they're not wrong. [attr="class","subcat"]connections very shady. desiree has links here and there, scattered about. she has her eyes, her ears, her informants. she has her help. she handles a very delicate web and she does it well. [attr="class","subcat"]enhanced human condition desiree is barely on par with olympic gold medalists in terms of physical fitness and possesses exceptional, if not unnatural, cognition, reflexes, comprehension, etc. she's pretty damn smart and pretty damn strong, in other words, but not nearly at peak human condition. |
