[break][break] human exceptionalism.[break][break] from that chance encounter forward, moving forward as the sole survivor of that alien skirmish, his entire worldview was changed. luso endeavored for further off-moon excursions and ways to test his mettle, and in doing so, rose to become something of a one-man agent for secret missions. time passed and he gained the trust of the interim matriarch's council, finally granting him a critical mission: find and retrieve the missing matriarch from terra. it would be a comm-dead mission, so he would have to work quickly and with his own judgement, but he was confident in his ability to complete it.[break][break] piloting a one man stealth craft, with naught but his plug suit, his spear, and a universal translator, luso made for the rocky planet below, keen on proving himself to his people-- but more importantly, experiencing 'humanity' for himself. unfortunately, after a month of searching, it became obvious that the sole lead he had led to a cold trail, and he gradually began to lose track of his mission as he took in earth culture. a representative of the initiative apprehended him after his shuttle was found discovered crashed in the russian countryside, and it was there he made the decision to surrender himself and join their ranks, as his mission would be that much easier with their resources and infobase. taking on the alias of boy bahamut, naming himself after the lunar dragon king of legend, luso steeled himself, ready to represent his homeworld and execute justice-- or, at least, his own skewed idea of justice, anyway. [PTab=IV.] [attr="class","appcat"]powers [attr="class","apptext"] [/PTab={tab-background-color:#1f4654;height: 420px; background-color: #1c1d1e; padding: 5px;text-align:justify;][/PTabbedContent={width: 310px;tab-background-color:#1c1d1e;border-color:#1c1d1e;tabgap:1}][newclass=.appcat]background-color:#111;text-align:center;font-family:open sans condensed;text-transform:uppercase;font-weight:900;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass][newclass=.apptext]height:390px; margin: 15px 5px 0px 5px; padding: 0px 15px; overflow: auto;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat]color:#e5e5e5;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 15px 0px 5px -10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat1]color:#e5e5e5;text-transform:uppercase;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 0px 0px 5px -10px;[/newclass][attr="class","subcat1"]lunarian physiology as a lunarian, luso's physiology is superhumanly dense, a result of evolving separately from homo sapiens in the lunar atmosphere, granting him enhanced strength, durability, and stamina, as well as affinity in maneuvering in low-to-zero gravity situations. additionally, all lunarians have a limited healing factor, causing them to recover from injury at an accelerated, but not quite superhuman rate-- approximately five times that of baseline human speed. while they are not capable of regenerating limbs, their bodies are exceptionally resistant to disease as a result.[break][break] additionally, lunarians benefit from extended longevity; while they mature at a similar, if slightly slower, rate than humans, their aging process slows significantly after maturity and their lifespans are exceptionally longer (though not to the point of functional immortality, as in certain other races). [attr="class","subcat"]dragoon training / plug suit after rigorous lunarian dragon knight (or 'dragoon') training, such universal forces as 'gravity' are but playthings for a soldier like luso to manipulate in combat. evoking the aspect of ancient lunar dragons in battle, he is capable of leaping into the air superhuman distances and fully controlling his descent, almost as though he flies, bounding from building to building with keen eyes before rapidly descending upon evil-doers and skewering them with his spear.[break][break] of course, feats of 'flight' (really, controlled descent) and wall-leaping would be quite difficult without the assistance of his form-fitting plug suit. cutting edge lunarian-tech, this flexible, exceptionally light kevlar-like body armor utilizes an aerodynamic design and limited personal gravity manipulation from gems located at various parts of the suit. this enhances the force behind strikes and allows for incredible acrobatic feats like jumping twenty feet into the air or easily bounding from rooftop to rooftop. it also serves as an aesthetically-pleasing battle costume, allowing him to maneuver in and out of the battlefield with style and grace. [attr="class","subcat"]spear of longinus bound to him by the core of his plug suit, the spear of longinus is the preferred weapon of the dragoons of the moon. forged of durable lunar steel, these dual-pronged, nearly seven feet long red polearms are unique in that they possess metamorphic capabilities when thrown. while they are exceptional for martial combat with their piercing capabilities and long reach, when thrown like a javelin, their true nature shines: the two prongs warp together to form a single, seamless, piercing object, strong enough to penetrate the likes of the hulls of spaceships and any contingent extraterrestrial threats. afterward being launched, they disappear and rematerialize seamlessly in the hands of their wielders. |
