Thirty minutes.
That'd approximately how long she has been waiting. At first she was worried, awkwardly fidgeting in her seat. But after the twenty minute mark and the waiter had come over four times to check on her and ask if she was alright… her hopes were dashed for an actual nice time. Slouched over with an elbow propped on top of the table and her chin resting upon a closed fist, Persephone was anything but happy or remotely amused at that moment.
She had even gotten herself all dolled up for this night in particular. Typical. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the thought. She actually mustered to get excited to spend time with him. Just great!
And she had brought out her finest dress: a sky colored sleeveless gown that covered everything but her slender shoulders and long, dainty arms.
For some reason she found herself blinking back tears and her throat tightening up. But she wouldn’t dare shed a single tear. Not with so many eyes on her.
She glances over at the entrance of the restaurant and sighs, eyeing the red velvet carpeting before deciding to wait a bit more. It’d be embarrassing if she left this place alone after waiting so long, after all.

[Hades didn't understand the premise of it all. A date night? Such a useless action. They spend all eternity together and now she wants to go on dates? And to make matters worse for Hades she always had to pick the most mundane places to do these things. They could honestly go anywhere they wanted! On top of a mountain, int he middle of the ocean, even the underworld had much more fascinating places than the simple park or picnic or movie that she enjoyed so much going too. He just didn't understand it. However it was better than the centuries of her just fleeing from him and him having to chase her across millions of miles just to find time with her.
Hades arrived at the restaurant entrance with a shadow portal opening up at the front desk and walking out of it. He was wearing a much more formal attire than he usually wears and the host seemed very startled to find a man just walking into a portal like that. "Sir" the host nervously said "Do you have a reservation... oh.. uhh sir you can't just..." but Hades waved him off and continued to walk over to the table that his beautiful wife was sitting at. He greeted her with a warm smile, a smile he usually doesn't show. This was out of genuine love for the beautiful woman sitting across from him.
"Hi love, you look wonderful. Did you order yet? I am starving." Hades continued not even realzing how upset Persephone was already. "Waiter! Im ready to order" Hades called out as he browsed through the menu to find something that he could possibly swallow.
