Apollo's landing on Earth tore a screeching cacophony through the atmosphere, undetectable by mundane means, but anyone with the sense--or just the right reading devices--would know someone that had just ripped through the barrier between worlds to arrive at a snowy field in Greenland.
Back at the Initiative's underground base, their monitors started pinging alerts for a disturbance in the aether. Someone was here. Someone unknown. Someone from a different plane. Someone very, very old and possibly very, very dangerous.
The Initiative sent whoever was available to investigate.
None the wiser, Apollo spoke softly as he took his first steps on Earth since the 1600s. "Whither shall I go to find my sister?" The answer came unbidden, unconscious, and true. "Everglades, Florida."
Apollo scowled, marring his pleasant features. "And where shall I find a map that might lead me there?"
He turned south before he even spoke the word, and Apollo started walking. He saw nothing but empty, snowy fields in every direction, but he knew better than to fly into the nearest town as a vision of light.
So he walked. After a while, he started singing to himself with a voice like sweet wine on a summer day. OPEN to anyone from the Initiative that wants to fetch Apollo--or anyone that wants to investigate the anomaly, really.

Ares tore through the sky like a meteor heading to doom the Earth. As he rocketed toward the surface he could tell that someone else had also just recently landed. When he landed, his impact caused the ground to break beneath him, forming a crater. The hole was pretty large, but there wasn't really any civilization around so he didn't care. And it was snowing, so the snow would fill in the hole right? Yeah sure, whatever. Now on flat ground Ares looked around for the other person who just landed here moments before he did. Then he heard it. He heard singing and automatically knew it was Apollo. Ares could tell it was him just by the voice. The red haired god moved quickly in Apollo's direction so that he could catch up. "I could tell that was you from miles away." Ares spoke about his singing as he approached his step-brother. It had actually been quite some time since they last seen each other. #TEAMSAUSAGE

| The voice was as familiar to Apollo as his own was to Ares. When was the last time they'd really spoken? Centuries, certainly, but had it hit millenia yet? They had never been close, but that was too long.
"Brother," he said--both in surprise and as a greeting. Ares was, he realized, a sight Apollo welcomed. Apollo smiled, and it was like sunshine. "Thou art a fair sight for sore eyes."
That Ares spoke and dressed differently was hardly a surprise. Apollo understood him without difficulty, but he was reminded that he'd need some time to adapt to this current era of humanity.
He'd always known Ares was quick to show up for a battle or to his worshippers, but this was a snowy field, and Apollo had not prayed to the god of war. He asked, curious, "How didst thou find me so quickly?" @ares

Apollo seemed to be taken by surprise by his brothers sudden appearance, but I mean I guess who wouldn't be? A small smile formed at his mouth when he was complimented by Apollo. "Thanks brother, as are you." He replied. It was true, after seen so many earthlings it was nice to see one of his own blood. The duo kept on walking down the snowy field and Ares has no clue of where his brother was going or why he was even hear in the first place. Now you would be right to say that Ares has been on Earth a lot longer than Apollo, just for the simple fact of how they dressed and talked. "It wasn't hard. After spending a long time here you begin to learn how to get everywhere quickly." That was mostly true. However, some people aren't travelers so they may only know their city and maybe one or two of the surrounding ones. Not the case for Ares though as he was always traveling around. #TEAMSAUSAGE

| He figured he should explain his grand return to Earth. It was an obvious question, and Apollo thought it surprisingly tactful of Ares to not press it immediately.
"Atop Mount Olympus, I turned my thoughts to Earth, and I spoke dark prophecy." This happened often enough. He thought of Earth at least once a decade, and it seemed like the faraway planet was always keeling between one disaster to the next. "T'was vague and unhelpful, but something greater than us Olympians makes for Earth."
Following that, there was another obvious question to answer. "I know not when or how. Only that I thought I should find my sister." @ares

He listened to his brother speak about the dark prophecy and he smirked. There couldn't be anything coming to Earth that could defeat the Olympians. As he continued to listen, he began to remember that his brother's prophecy were never wrong. "Let this 'something' come and I will destroy it." Ares always liked to fight. He couldn't recall the last time he's lost a battle. "Ah yes. Artemis. I haven't seen her in a while either." To be honest, he hasn't seen any of his fellow Olympians in quite sometime. Perhaps they all stayed on Mt. Olympus. Ares shrugged the thought off. "She's on Earth, that I know." He said to Apollo as they kept walking. Despite not actually seeing her, Ares had the feeling she was here on Earth somewhere. Apollo and Artemis were more often than not together and when not, they weren't too far apart. #TEAMSAUSAGE

| Ares' confidence was almost reassuring. He had changed since the last time they'd met, but not so much that Apollo didn't have full faith whatever threat was on the horizon, it might very well meet its match.
"Mother want'd me to fetch my sister back to Olympus, but I daresay that will not be a successful endeavor." Apollo didn't even intend to try. "I have scry'd her in.... the Everglades? A place called Florida. We walk south because I thought I might find a cartographer there to tell me where that is--though if thou knowst of it and how to venture thither, then so much the better."
