One side is light generally relating to her original lineage and is generally kind, charitable and a pleasure to be around. This is the side she prefers to show the most, as its her original pious self and isn't something she actually detests. The other is a side of darkness, which is generally irritable, aggressive and violent. [break][break] First to make the snide comment and always the side to rush into a fight weather its needed or not, this side is hidden most times unless it or its powers are needed. Most times she can be found helping people less fortunate, or going about her chores and pious duties, when in costume she's fairly similar to her two sided self. But her main patrol area as it were is the side of demons and the supernatural, this by no means that she'll avoid other types of intervention but she excels in the supernatural. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Lindsay was born in a little town in Ireland to a family known to the church, this family has recorded family history traces back to Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Though the church public denounces them having ever been married, nor would they ever admit that Mary had children with the Savior. They made certain to keep track of the family tree down through the ages, having been given a prophecy by a prophet. That spoke of a descendant of the family would help combat great evil in the world, they also warned that they could also bring great harm if left unchecked. Once Lindsay was born it was proved that she was the prophesied one, because of a stigmata birthmark on her body. With peace in mind the church raised her to be a nun, though though thought it best to prepare her to fight supernatural beings and taught her exorcism. Her childhood was filled with nothing but duty and training, barely anytime for fun or relaxation. [break][break] Though she enjoyed helping people less fortunate then her, Lindsay felt trapped. One day she meet the new grounds keeper who turns out to be an old war veteran, they become friends and Lindsay asks him if he could teach her a way to defend herself. Being a nun, she wasn't allowed to commit violence but something in her gut told her she'd need to defend herself some time in the future. Convincing the grounds keeper to help her, he teaches her how to wield a pair of desert eagles. It takes time to learn how to shoot and handle them, as well as maintain, modify and disassemble her weapons. Over their time together, Lindsay and the ground keeper became like family. She considered him like a grandfather she never had, and he in turn thought of her like his granddaughter. [break][break] As her studies came to a close in the church she grew up in, Lindsay was turning eighteen and had a rather basic celebration with the nuns. The ground keeper had given her more of a celebration, giving Lindsay her first drink and toasting her life and her continued survival. A few days later Lindsay was down in the town working at one of the charities the church works with, when her missionary was attacked and everyone present were kill. Though this excluded a small group of orphans that had called the place home, and whom Lindsay was like a big sister too. The nuns and other workers had gotten the children into an old unmarked tunnel, which lead to a small underground cellar. They waited there untill the coast was clear, and followed instructions that lead them down a tunnel into town. They tracked down their big sister and told her about what happened, Lindsay brought the kids to a nearby church for safe keeping, she then went back to the mission and found the aftermath of the assault. [break][break] Finding all the nuns dead, the workers and out near the back near some bodies of people she didn't recognise. Was the dying grounds keeper, he had taken out several of them before becoming fatally injuries himself. Lindsay ran to him and tried to heal him but he stopped her, saying that her was fine as long as her and the kids were okay. The grounds keeper told Lindsay that the attackers were an American group of mobsters, looking to make a pay check on some priceless religious artifacts that were known to reside within the mission. With his last words the ground keeper told her to live her life and protect the children, with his death Lindsay's demon side clicked on and screamed in anger. Before reverting back to her saint form, and grieving properly as she returned to town. [Break][break] Lindsay agreed up the children and told the church she wished to take them to America, as a way to start anew for them and her. What they didn't know was that she'd contacted the group that supports heroes, asking them if they'd support her moving to America and starting work there. She told them of her score she had to settle, as well as having charges under her care. Once in America she out a building for the children, setting up a room for her civilian self and one for her hero side. Lindsay took care of the children while being a hero and exorcist on the side, hoping to find the ones who killed those who raised her. She can sanctify anything she wishes to bless, wield the power of holy light, summon angel wings to fly, walk on water, transmute the composition of water into another substance (this is more then just wine), she can heal the sick of near fatal injury or sickness and rise from the dead (This can take three days). Her Demon side comes from a son of Lucifier who forced themselves onto one of her ancestors, however she needs to flip a switch to turn this side on as it were. This allows her to wield the darkness of demons, grow demonic wings to fly, demonise objects, use hellfire, grow claws and shimmer between known places only. [break][break] Due to having to switch between the two sides, Lindsay only has access to the power of one side depending on which one is active. Also during both these transformations, she's susceptible to their weaknesses as well. When in her original Saint form she's effected greatly by demonic powers and darkness, while in her demonic form she's weak to holy power and sanctified objects. In both of these forms she's also prone to being trapped by ritual magics, that trap either angels or demons. Her healing ability only allows her heal others but never herself, if she gets injured Lindsay must heal at a normal rate. Or she can die and revive three days later, fully returned to a normal state of health. [attr="class","subcat"]Exocist Lindsay was trained as an Exocist in both the light and dark forms, this allows her to use these skills and magic within both forms. This allows her to use magical binding spells that can restrict demons, angels or other supernatural beings, she has a few other binding spells that allow her to restrict other non supernatural beings. She has attack spells that mostly work on the supernatural, almost none work on normal people or plain supers. Her defense magic is limited, allowing her to defend against supernatural attack but it won't stand up to superhuman powers. [attr="class","subcat"]Gunmanship Lindsay was trained in how to use duel guns as her chosen weapons, she uses these in either form and can add a variety of effects to her ammo. She can Sanctify or Demonize her ammo (Depending on taken form), Use holy light or demon darkness (dependant on form), hellfire (demon only), Shimmer (Demon only), Transmute (Saint only). She can also ritualise her ammo for exorcism rites both dark and light forms, this can add to her co bat effectiveness against demons, angels and other supernatural beings. Lindsay is a skilled marksman, and can maintain her weapon, take it apart and put it back together quite quickly and modify it where necessary. She can reload quickly (by hand) with the use of machinery within her outfit, a ritual mark on the back of each gun allows her to change the ammo type easily. |
