ALL ALONG THE WATCH TOWER | Without warning, the subway car stopped. This happened often enough, and Neo didn't look up from her phone until she realized it hadn't started moving again.
How long had it been? Five minutes? It certainly couldn't have been any longer than that. There hadn't been an announcement yet either.
The lights flickered, then went out. Neo stood up and checked the callbox first, putting the phone to her ear and hearing nothing. She tried pushing a few buttons. Still nothing.
It was early afternoon, and this was the train to and from Arkham. There was only one other person in the car with.
"Hey," she said, without a hint of emotion. "Any ideas what we should do?"

Ares was relaxing on the subway when it suddenly came to a halt. Usually it's routine to make stops, dropping off and picking people up. This time the train had stayed stopped longer than usual. He kept sitting in his seat with his head leaned back and eyes closed, waiting for some stupid announcement to come over the intercom and let everyone know whats up. But, no such thing was made. Even worse was that the lights flickered for a moment before completely going out. The day was still young and Ares was getting quite frustrated. He liked to relax on the subway but when it interfered with his plans, that was not okay. "Hey any ideas what we should do?" A women who was sitting in proximity to Ares spoke, inquiring about what they should do in this unfortunate situation. "Tch." He opened his eyes and stood up, hands in his pockets. "I know what I am going to do, but you're on your own." Ares simply stated, having no real interest in the girls motives. #TEAMSAUSAGE

ALL ALONG THE WATCH TOWER | "Figures," she said. Alone was what she'd gotten used to ever since she dropped off the grid anyway. "I don't suppose what you're going to do might magically start us moving again?"
Neo watched him stand up, and she turned back to the red emergency phone. Occasionally, she glanced at the stranger to keep an eye on what he was doing.
Without much delicacy, she pried at the plastic covering off the phone with her fingers. Underneath, the wires were a rusted mess. Even with power, she didn't think it'd work. (That made her feel real safe about public transportation, but what could you expect with what they sent into Arkham?)
She reached for her phone and considered summoning one of her drones. She knew the radio and gps signal would reach, but was it really wise to send a combat robot just for this?
...Probably not. @ares | |

Ares could easily just push the stopped subway car until the next destination but he wasn't really concerned about where it had to go, this spot would do just fine. He noticed the girl was messing with the emergency phone, peeling the cover off and playing with the wires inside of it. He shrugged it off however. "Well, I am going above ground." The God of War spoke to the blue haired female. He sure as hell wasn't going to just sit in the broken subway car. Surely he would find something to get into because this was Arkham after all. #TEAMSAUSAGE

Leaving the car didn't sound too reckless. Without an announcement telling them to stay calm (and Neo noted that they both seemed quite calm anyway), she didn't feel like banking on help arriving. ...And even if help did arrive, she was a missing person. Neo would prefer to stay missing. She wasn't sure exactly who she'd acquired the knowledge of opening the subway's emergency hatch from, but Neo wasn't about to complain. The bright red handle pulled and flipped to the side, and the subway door dutifully slid open. @ares [ would you be interested to having some NPC villain be the cause of the accident? someone for them to run into. ]

As the girl flipped the red handle to the side, the door stuttered open using whatever power it had left in the system. Ares put his hand on the side of the door and pushed it the remainder of he way open. Getting out of this broken down earthling trash car was his first priority. His next was looking for something to fight. Being the God of War and on Earth got pretty boring sometimes. Ares looked back and noticed the girl had also deiced to leave the car. "Just don't get in my way." He didn't care if she followed him honestly, as long as she wasn't annoying or tried to interfere with any fights he got into. [OOC: I am totes down for some NPC villain shenanigans] #TEAMSAUSAGE

Very little about S-K43 was subtle -- a six-plus woman built like a tree tended to draw attention wherever she went (though, admittedly, the bar for 'strange' was set rather high these days). It simply wasn't in her nature to be delicate, though that particular trait suited the task at hand quite well. Boarding the subway, she barely waited for the doors to slide closed behind her before pushing her way forward to the engine car. One dead railroad engineer, a pulled brake later, and a crushed power box later, the cyborg began returning to the other cars. By virtue of not having that many people on the subway, her work was quick and rather effortless -- it didn't take much finesse to kill everyone she came across, anyway. The blonde walked through the motionless train, systematically slaughtering car-by-car. Then she entered the next, and stopped. The girl, she didn't know; the man, however, she recognized from Spectre's databases. Her chance of victory against Ares was so low as to be zero, she knew, but the woman was inherently less of a threat. So she decided to dive at Neo's throat, instead. @ares neo (i am not actually 100% sure how to stop that subway so let's just. suspend disbelief. + pretend she has a mask or something)

S-K43 was one of the tallest women she'd ever seen. S-K43 was also soon going to the last woman she'd ever see, Neo realized. Her first thought was to run, but there was nowhere to go in the train car. Neo had often wondered if she were a person of only average intelligence without her powers, but she had time for a second thought. That probably meant she was actually pretty quick. Mentally quick wasn't the same as physically quick, however. The training was there. Years and years of expert martial arts, Neo remembered how to fight, how to respond to an attacker. How much that knowledge was worth when you were short and skinny was up in the air. She'd need a couple months at the gym and a steady diet of protein before she could properly defend herself. Her left arm went up to block. She felt a nasty pull in her shoulder as her muscles couldn't keep up. That'd hurt less than if S-K43 actually made contact though. Or maybe not. Death would hurt least, after all. @ares S-K43
