He can no longer see a future with himself in it. Lazarus does not want to be free. Not if he has to pay the price in loneliness.
He should have frozen to death in his sleep, if the world would make no more use of him. Maybe that's what was intended for him.

Then he realizes that his words were uncalled for. The world owes him nothing, not even a peaceful death. Lazarus does not apologize. He doesn't know if this girl deserves it.
"What do you wish of me?" He asks, his heart barren of hope.

"I imagine the medical team wants to finish looking you over," Thalia says, looking over her shoulder. They do look impatient to get back to their patient, and they also don't look very impressed by this little exchange that's taken up so much time. "Then we'll bring you in and my superiors can see about processing you. I imagine you'll need a place to stay, help finding a job. They'll probably want a psychic or an empath to look over you as well."

So there will be a direction for him. He has no more questions after that. Lazarus gets off the table. The boy looks like he wants to say something, but then he's assaulted by the force of a thousand sneezes. One of the medical assistants finally manages to get a blanket around him. He sniffles miserably, but he doesn't say another word as the medical team escorts him out.
