Near at the edge of Montblanc but at the opposite side of Danbury, lies a quaint estate beveled by the questionable wealth and history of the owners. As always, history is never subjective, so the truth of those in power was written. The Mcknight family is a prestigious line of self-proclaimed royalty that once owned the quarter of the businesses in Lafayette. Now they’re no one. Honestly, Lucas thinks they’re just a bunch of pompous assholes dressed in old leather. Now he’s here, sitting on a suspiciously dusty sofa made of varnished wood and probably fake gold. He listened to the supposed man of the house, basically being overly querulous about the information regarding the haunting. Work is work however, Lucas can’t be picky especially since he doesn’t have any cash to crash in a cheap motel tonight. If this turns out to be just a faulty insulation system though, he’ll probably lose it. With a couple more reassurance for the staff and owner, he promised them to solve this tonight. How? Well, he asked where the supernatural stuff usually occurs. There were a bunch of spots, too much in fact. From the garden, to the kitchen, the haunting is everywhere. There was one room that everybody agreed on, the former mistress’s room. Lucas proceeded to go there, telling them he’ll be staying in that room for the night. He opened the door, beholding his eyes upon a tacky room. It was obnoxiously saturated with unnecessary objects. Portraits, charms, trinkets, why are all these here? And more importantly “Who even makes a room for their mistress? Oh, my wife said yes, we can keep her. We can go ahead and feed her, pet her, brush her. Sociopaths! All of them.” he ranted. He threw the bag on the god awful bed, and upon impact causing a seemingly nuclear amount of dust to explode. Quickly, Lucas covered his nose, forcing him to move towards the window to open it. This was going to be a long night. He’d toy around the objects in the room, finding little to almost no trace of ghastly matter. It was too early to give up. Maybe he should wait for midnight, try and take a nap and let the spooks wake him. There’s no way he’s settling on that bed though. Instead, he took out a pillow from his bag and laid down on the floor. “Anytime now.” | [attr="class","urimg"] [attr="class","urlyric"]inside i've been shaken, my sanity taken Our broken halves they intertwine from once was yours and once was mine I'm unbreakable |
