» Daniel is a hero that joined the Initiative pretty soon after the big stuff a few years back. He's fairly young, and he was way young back then. He's a psychic (telepath + telekinetic) that specializes in pushing things and thoughts out, unlike his sister, Rebecca (wanted ad pending), who specializes in pulling things and thoughts to herself. Together, they used to be In and Out, dynamic twin duo, but Daniel broke them apart so that he would stop being so dependant on her. Until the launch of the Phoenix Force event, Daniel wasn't able to feel anything past his own skin because of a (formerly) uncontrollable telekinetic (and telepathic) shield. I'm more than up to writing things from before the Phoenix, when he was still edgy and not obsessively loyal to the Phoenix. (Sorry for text wall) [break][break]

» Friends are cool. Daniel's not likely to have many that are much older than him and/or have been around longer than him because he has a problem with the Initiative stealing his teenage years from him. If there's some edgy young adult groups emerging, he might try to take part in those. Also he is particularly drawn to other telepaths because it's easier for him to get to know a person if he can pop right into their mind. (They'd have a hard time going into his, due to his telepathic barrier, of which he has no control.) Of course, he's really resistant to closeness with people because of his sister. Before his power revelation, Daniel's sister was the only one able to go through his barriers, and he became dependant on her to feel anything. It scared him pretty bad when he realized what was happening, so he pushed her away to keep himself from taking over her life too. He tries to work alone now so that he doesn't have to be afraid of that. Granted, he's pretty bad at that, because he became quickly attached to Maria after the Phoenix gave him control over his own power. Daniel still isn't sure if his control is a part of the Phoenix's boons or if he has actually gained control. On the same note, anyone else with Phoenix is a very potent ally in Daniel's eyes. » Lovers are considered very dangerous. Just like with his sister, he doesn't want to become dependant or too close, so it's hard for him to imagine being intimate and open with someone. He grew up in the bible belt, and even though he doesn't believe in God, (it's hard when he has met multiple "gods") Daniel tries to keep himself "classy", as his mom always called it. Essentially, he doesn't really want to hook up with a girl if he has no intentions of sticking with her. His mom does expect him to bring home a wife some day, and he would like to get married and have kids eventually. The biggest problem is (was?) the ability to have any kind of physical contact with a family. He already misses out on his mom's hugs when he visits. [break][break]

» Enemies Wouldn't be something that Daniel is happy with, but they very well could be a common occurrence. He's been a bit of a jerk since he was inducted into the Initiative and he's not easy to deal with. Being physically pretty much numb doesn't do much for a person's psyche. The other problem is that he pushed his sister out a few years back. Daniel is trying to keep people away so that he doesn't become dependant on them, and pushing people out doesn't tend to end up well. Also, being a hero, Daniel is bound to have some villainous enemies that he's put away in the past or fought, etc.[break][break]
