Stevie’s distance from their birth family gave them a sort of disconnected feeling to the understanding of their own gift as a young child, not having the immediate counseling of those who may understand what it was like to have such powers at their disposal. their birth family were essentially more like neighbors than blood. that is, with the exception of Lane. Stevie’s older sibling was the closest thing they had to a mentor growing up, and was certainly more of a parental figure than their own parents. as the two grew together, their free-time between school (which Stevie loathed) and home-life (which Stevie found boring) was filled with training and practice with their abilities. they’d spend hours in the cramped, silent allyways of Philadelphia, honing their powers through sparring and the occasional small battle against petty crime. drunk on excitement and vigilante justice, when the time came for Lane to move out on their own, they immediately moved to Kingsport, bring an all-too-willing Stevie along with them. late adolescence was a whirlwind of thrills and danger, the two felt like they were practically unstoppable as a team. they dealt out their own brand of face painted ‘due process’, a dynamic duo of sorts, avoiding and evading police and registered heroes for years. perhaps it was fate rearing its ugly head, or perhaps the two just got too cocky. their time finally came when the Initiative prepared a perfect little situation for them. long story short, things went wrong, and the heroes ended up one Moreau short of a complete pair. three years on and Stevie continues their vigilante-ism despite the risk and lack of partner. [attr="class","subcat"]energy constructs by manipulating the particles and energy around them, Hazard can create basic constructs to aide them. this power is usually used to create force fields and small platforms and can be formed up to 5 feet away from their current position. [attr="class","subcat"]nuclear manipulation Hazard's control over nuclear reaction is limited. It is mostly a passive ability, giving them a regenerative healing factor. They can induce very small nuclear explosions, though this requires a ridiculous amount of their own energy to produce and is so risky that they prefer to avoid it entirely. [attr="class","subcat"]enhanced intuition an effect of their ability to sense matter on a subatomic level is Hazard's "sixth sense". while not flawless, it is potent enough that they could hold their own in a one-on-one fight with a non-super powered human, despite their lack of physical strength. |
