Instead of coming straight home, he went to the vidya gaem store, and bought the newest iteration of the wonderfully violent Crimecity Murderfest series. This seventh opus boasts as featuring customizable player avatars, and Little Timmy is excited! [break][break] He pops the game in his Xbox and starts the session, and jumps right into character creation! And after a while, fiddling with the controls, Little Timmy finally gets the result he was looking for: a lanky man wearing a rubber horse mask, a wife beater, cute underwear, and fancy crocodile shoes. It makes him laugh thinking about such a weirdo running around gunning down people, so why not? He hits the “start” button, and that is when shit hits the fan. [break][break] Cut to our universe - in the middle of the street, a being of madness, terror, and dank memes is born: his empty rubber eyes stare into the distance, and his mouth gapes like the abyss. He is a commando, a spetznaz, a marine, a gangster, a martial artist, a pro racer and a psychopath all rolled into one hardcore sushi. Proficient in hand-to-hand, all kinds of melee weapons, ALL of the firearms, and explosives, there is nothing that he can’t use as instinctively as if he had owned them all of his life. He is also a master chauffeur, and is a menace on wheels with even the weakest vehicle. Hotwiring cars, tanks, or planes is not a problem either. [attr="class","subcat1"]Neigh Immortality Put simply, Ghost Horse cannot die. He can be put unconscious, he can be hurt, but his physical integrity can’t be destroyed - which means that he will not blow up into juicy bits if he walks on C4, or get dismembered. After a small “loading period”, Ghost Horse effectively respawns at either the hospital or the nearest police station (with less money in his stash, because he paid the bill or something). Also, Ghost Horse can apparently drift around when he's free-falling (he free-falls a lot) by flapping his arms or holding them like a plane's wings. [attr="class","subcat"]Hammerspace Ghost Horse’s arsenal is kept in some kind of hammerspace that only HE can have access to. They hold dozens, if not hundreds of different weapons, their ammunition, grenades and portable explosives of all sizes, a metric butt-ton of melee weapons, from knives to chainsaws, and miscellaneous items, like parachutes, wingsuits, skate boards or jerry cans. Any item he finds pretty and wants can effectively be stolen and stored inside of his hammerspace. [attr="class","subcat"]Calling In The Homies Ghost Horse has a virtual (literally) criminal empire under his control. They all wear crazy soulless animal masks, and are either NPCs from the game, or other gamers who join Timmy in multiplayer. The fact is that Ghost Horse has RESSOURCES, be them human or otherwise. He can call in a pimped out ride with a chauffeur. He can call in reinforcements from homies. He can call in missile strikes. He can call in tanks. He has money to buy the world. Where all of these resources come from are a very good question indeed. [attr="class","subcat"]Glitches & Hacks Ghost Horse's universe is kind of weird sometimes. Cars bump into each other and freak out and flip out before exploding. Textures get screwy. Ghost Horse no-clips and promplty spasms around in the wall. And when he stacks things, the physics engine can't handle it, and jumping on top of them catapults Ghost Horse into the sky. Particularly strong hits deform his physical integrity, because the texture is trying to follow up with the physics behind the hit - but in the end he'll always end up alright. And please, by god. Pray he doesn’t activate the hacks. |
