Being a hero isn’t only physically tiring, but socially as well. A year ago, he was able to show a bit of enthusiasm to the public and general media. Now he can’t offer anything but languor. It’s understandable since hero duty became a pseudo-matutinal activity, like school. [break][break] Eun-ha found recrudescence within the Initiative however, and to those he’s close with. He is a unique contribution of warmth, openly expressing his compassion tied with how open-minded he can be. Of course, some sees this as being naive and weak, ignorant to what Kingsport really is. That’s not entirely true. He does reflect on how he behaves, how he sees things. There are plenty of criticisms that he agrees with, but he believes that cynicism won’t do any good with his resolution to give everyone a safer world. It’s a good foundation which makes him a reliable hero. However there are still times he can be indecisive, a clear proof that an anguine guilt still crepitates within him that feeds his insecurity. This is why he doubts that he’ll ever be able to lead, especially since his demons aren’t scums you can cuff and throw in prison. [break][break] He is satisfied with what he’s doing, preferring to help the little people or assisting the star hero of the scene. He doesn’t outwardly put himself into the fray to be flashy and hasten his promotion. He still has a lot to learn, but that habit makes it hard for him to progress as whole. He couldn’t even come up with his own alias! They only started calling him Scarf since he kept wearing one, or at the very least have it around. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Life was easier back then. Eun-ha was a student with above average grades, doing his best to live up to his parent’s expectations and maintain a good social circle at the same time. His end goal was simple. Become a successful engineer and provide his parents the comfortable life they deserve. With that in mind, one should be able to understand why he kept his abilities a secret. He knew what happens to gifted people that are exposed, they’ll be torn away of the freedom to live a normal life, one way or another. A thing some supers longed for, it’s priceless. So the boy only used it for his own convenience. He used it to dry dishes at his part-time job, break that one persistent bond of cheese on the pizza he picked up, or reduce the weight of his girlfriend when she’s checking herself. Nothing too amazing. [break][break] Everything went downhill fast, misfortune’s quite the mischievous accipitrine. His girlfriend cheated on him. He managed to recover from that, but then his parents were getting a divorce. It was a logical and easy plan to follow if not for his brother. Lee Junwoo suffered from autism, and having his parents separated would complicate his situation. Both his father and mother were confident they will be able to still keep their responsibilities properly; in fact Eun-ha’s mother decided she will shelter Jun.. In Kingsport. No. Eun-ha protested against it. He was surprised how obdurate his mother was about it. He proposed they left him and Jun in New York temporarily, his mother can go ahead in Kingsport and prepare everything first. [break][break] Two years passed. He heard his father died back in Korea due to a disaster caused by a super. Eun-ha dropped a few subjects so he can get some extra time at work, to compensate with their financial lost. Three months passes, his brother developed a tumor in his kidney. They had it removed but the medical maintenance worsen, additionally the search for a donor seemed impossible. Eight more months passes, his mother died after an incident in Innsmouth. [break][break] Eun-ha blamed himself. He should have stopped them, none of these would’ve happened. [break][break] Unlike most tragic stories, he didn’t let his emotion get the best of him when he was at his worst. At least not entirely, he looked forward. He knew what he needed to do. The brothers moved to Kingsport, Eun-ha signed up for the Initiative. Is it to make the world safer? Maybe, but he mostly did it for the financial help. He doesn't care about rankings, as long as they’re able to help him keep his brother alive, he’s satisfied. The Iniative deems his ability highly remarkable, but it’s up to him whether or not to get better at it. He focuses on utilizing it in a molecular level. He has a huge variety of what he can do with it, such as accelerating an object’s molecules to severely increase its temperature, oscillate his body fast enough to phase through obstacles, clean a contaminated body of water by removing the toxins, or make an object lighter or heavier. [break][break] Manipulating does not normally need any bodily contact. But in his current skill level he still needs to touch the object in order to perform complicated techniques, like molecular immobilization or molecular copying. Basically the farther the object is, the less option he has. He’s also still incapable of simply gathering drifting molecules to form a complicated biological or non-biological structure at the moment. Tampering with preexisting structures is his specialty. [break][break] Even if that’s his focus, he’s still able to telekinetically push or pull light to medium objects. An interesting example is jumping down from a three-story building, while he’s still unable to completely levitate, he can at least slow his fall. Another downside is that if the molecule is laced with any magical property, he’ll require more time and effort to execute any changes. [attr="class","subcat"]Metahuman Physique Naturally, he can improve his strength, reflex, and overall body resistance faster and better with the right training. Eun-ha has only started working on it when he joined the Initiative. Although he's still below satisfactory compared to most supers, his stamina is up to par with some of the best. |
