Boum doesn't care. He's been at the whole living thing for centuries, and on top of that he's a very powerful fae creature. He's carefree and careless, and just does what he wants at all hours of the day. He likes partaking in human vices, because he knows he can get away with it. He's nice when it comes down to it, but he's unreliable and kind of a prick.



In the days of old, all faeries were created by the Faery of All. Each faery was made with a purpose, such as creating frost in the winter or bringing down rain for all of the plants to drink. No faery was evil or bad, because every faery knew what they had to do and they did it, for the sake of the Faery of All and for the world. But the Faery of All grew curious one day. All faeries had pure hearts, regardless of their personality, so darkness was never allowed to grow within them. The Faery of All wondered that if a faery was created that had more darkness and flaw than the others, if they would be able to return to the light. And so, the faery Boum was created.

Boum arrived on the summit of Mount Everest. A male faery, Boum was born alone. The Faery of All had imbued this particular faery with darker, human traits- greed, cynicism, lust. The all powerful faery needed to know if all faeries could return to the light if drawn to the dark. So he set Boum free, with little knowledge of what he was. Boum still knew, of course, but spited the Faery of All, thinking he was a goody-two-shoes. He set off onto his life, immediately using his magic to snatch jewels and gold from people he came across.

As time went on, Boum decided he liked humans more than the fae, and started blending in with them. Bedding human women, drinking human booze, the like. He loved humanity, because it was raw and emotional and kind and they did not judge him for his faults, faults he had no control over and really didn't care about. He learned so much, but he was always curious about what he should be doing, and then decided he didn't care. Eventually, he forgot about the Faery of All, who was only ever a silent observer of this chaotic faery. Boum lived through the ages as a trickster, often imposing himself as a mage, other times living in towns for years as the town drunk or a hooligan.

Time wore on. Boum was headed nowhere in particular, finding himself in a human city in the year 2016. He'd seen the rise of strange people with strange abilities, humans and non-humans alike sharing a battlefield in fights over their ideals. It was chaotic, and Boum wanted a piece of the action.

Many faeries lack durability and strength, but through a combination of centuries of combat and experience as well as his status as a Chaos Faery make Boum a highly powerful physical threat. He is strong enough to lift immense weights over his head, weights equivalent to one hundred tons. He is capable of taking great amount of physical punishment, and bullets seem incapable of breaking his skin. Energy attacks take more effect, but usually he is capable of deflecting them. However, as a Chaos Faery, Boum is susceptible to pure light and pure dark energy, as he is not purely light or purely dark himself, and either side of the spectrum is overwhelming to him. Boum's body is also an immense well of mana, which seems incapable of running dry. As a faery, he is capable of manifesting wings and taking flight. Whether his wings have manifested or not, Boum is also extremely fast, capable of going mach three on foot or in the air. As a faery, he can also shrink down to six inches tall, slightly alter his physical appearance, or even grow to forty feet tall if he wanted.



Chaos magic is a broad form that allows Boum to control many more aspects of nature than the average fairy. For instance, he can control fire, able to create small embers or enormous blazes capable of wiping out forests in an instant. He can manipulate the emotions of others, but generally can only cause negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and disgust. He cannot make people angry at certain people, however, and can only make them generally feel these emotions. He can effect erosion on a large scale, able to cause landslides or even cause entire mountains to crumble. He can cause general chaos, in that things might fall over, someone might trip on their shoelace, general unlucky stuff. If he focuses more energy, he can actually cause natural disasters. He also has some smaller abilities that don't necessarily fall under chaos magic. For instance, he can do minor healing on others, create lights in dark places, walk on water, and change his clothes with magic.
