Usually he tries to get along with people and make himself palatable to the General Public. One of the things Veritas values as a criminal is no collateral damage involving civilians. Damaging a building is fine so long as people can still survive it in his eyes. He's obsessed with mechanical inventions and innovations. Were he not a villain he'd probably be quite capable of making it as an inventor. However there is one thing that gets him more riled up and even willing to injure civilians. Well two things actually. One of these is if a hero calls for backup when he doesn't have backup because Veritas believes that villains should be honorable combatants and use equivalent force to that of a hero. Of course if a hero is invulnerable and shows a disposition to punching him in the face or putting him in the hospital Veritas knows that he can't hold back and will not hold back doing whatever he can against such a 'hero' or hero type. [break][break] There is also a darker side to Veritas. Due to being genetically made to be a hero he hates any who would experiment with DNA and create artificial life of any kind. This is not your run of a mill passive hatred. It is full blown Immanuke them level hatred that he possesses for any who would do such a thing. To him it is something that is simply not done. Veritas plans to avert his future but stay alive somehow or another although he hasn't figured out the HOW yet... although perhaps if he were to have a family or something. In addition Veritas is very stubborn. However he is a man of honor and when he makes a promise he will keep it. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Veritas was engineered in Suvian Sciences LLC Lab #446 by a group of scientists who believed that they should create someone who could bring about the next level of human evolution. To do this they studied robotics and engineering of the bygone eras. Discovering notes on something called "Bionics" they attempted to replicate the technology. Once they had successfully created bionics that could increase intelligence the next part was more... difficult. They needed to select suitable DNA that could be used for the 'next generation' of supr heroes one even more powerful than the current generation. [break][break] Once the DNA had been selected they artificially created the life form. However other scientists with less ethical views soon achieved control over the project. Believing the best way to make someone into a hero was to torture them they started torturing the Experiment. Unfortunately they had forgotten two things. One the DNA samples used were accidentally mixed up and villain DNA had been used instead of that of a hero. Two Veritas did hold a grudge and could hold one with the best of them. When the scientists were all asleep tht night Veritas broke out of the Facility and murdered each and every last one of the scientists, even terminating the other experiments. [break][break] Removing the tracking chip in an abandoned lab that had once belonged to the government, Veritas decided that his present was too dangerous for him. With so many heroes who had no sense of honor or morals the world would destroy itself if given half a chance. Deciding the past was much safer for him and didn't possess Supermen who wanted his head... Veritas constructed some devices. One of these devices was a power gauntlet of sorts that could allow him to create green energy constructs. The second device was a one way time machine. The third was a highly advanced self driving set of vehicles, including a jet, helicopter, car and giant robot as well as motorcycle. Going back in time he's extremely motivated to change the path of Humanity's destiny to avoid such. He is especially gifted when it comes to machinery, engineering, quantum physics, energy research and development and weapons science as well as robotics and computer programming and Metallurgy. Those fields are where his intellect really shines. [attr="class","subcat"]Power Gauntlets The power gauntlet was a device was made by Veritas to serve as his weapon due to his lack of any real 'superpowers' for himself. This is his way to answer that problem. The Power Gauntlet is capable of creating any energy construct he desires so as long as he has the will power to keep fighting the power gauntlet can enable him to enforce his will upon reality. The Power Gauntlet can also shoot mini missiles and tractor beams. It can even generate a Forcefield. Furthermore it can discharge energy blasts. There are two of these.. one per hand that are worn by him. A biometric scanner is in this so only he can use it. When he needs it it takes but a thought and the gauntlets will materialize on his hands. [attr="class","subcat"]Omni-Blaster One of the devices he designed to compensate for the fact that he doesn't have any 'real' super powers. The Omni-Blaster can shoot a variety of different ammo types. There's infinite types of ammo that the Omni-Blaster can shoot. The Omni-Blaster has voice command and biometric settings. This is also double barreled so that it can shoot two different ammo types at once. Two of these are carried by him at any one time. It takes 2 posts to switch ammo types though. Typically these are set to a non-lethal power setting. But should the need arise he can override it and reset it to lethal. [attr="class","subcat"]Self Driving/Moving Vehicles One of the devices he designed to compensate for the fact that he doesn't have any 'real' super powers. These cars are made out of an adamantium/depleted promethium hybrid material. They are very durable and can withstand assault by all but the strongest of the supers. The vehicles also come with artificial intelligence integrated into them that allows them to operate themselves. Due to his modifications these don't require fuel but have their own power supplies instead. The vehicles also all have built in weapons systems. So far he has a couple of cars, a jet, a helicopter and a submarine as well as a boat. [attr="class","subcat"]Giant Robot What is a villain without a super weapon at their disposal? The super weapon in the arsenal of Cyberlord is a giant robot. This giant robot is made out of an Adamantium/Depleted Promethium/Reinforced Plastic mix. It's very durable and even has an AI integrated into it. The giant robot has an array of missile launchers concealed within it's chest. Hammer Space Technology allows it to have nearly unlimited ammo for the missiles and machine guns it's equipped with. The robot has numerous security protocols including fingerprint analysis, voice print analysis and many other failsafes to keep unauthorized individuals out. It can also fly and create energy constructs. [attr="class","subcat"]Technopathy To make a long story short Veritas can communicate with machinery and control them. This is what this power does, essentially makes any machinery his slave or servant because he can override it. Of course stronger technopaths would be able to overwhelm him likely. [attr="class","subcat"]Robot Soldiers "They all have minions- Why can't I?" This question motivated Veritas to build his own robotic minions. Equipped with circuitry allowing them to appear human and thus good at being hostages, these have clever technology that allows them to emulate all known vital signs and even appear to have 'minds' to telepaths even if the Telepaths can't control or probe them. The robots possess roughly 3x the abilities of a human at peak human, well the humanoid ones. Veritas has millions that are the size of basketballs that are equipped with lasers and tractor beams as well as mouths that have sharp rotating teeth. There are also underwater versions of his minions and more aerial ones. Really he's got a lot of different versions. They cannot be hacked or they'd explode. Any technopaths other than him who try to access the drones would cause them to self destruct. |
