[break][break] Husk is what a shadow of a doubt, one of the most psychotic beings to ever have shadowed humanity. He does not have any end goal, and that makes his reasoning all the more difficult to understand. It is terror...simply for terror's sake. He lacks any virtues at all, and would gladly stop to steal candy from a child, even if it would cost him his current mission. Murder, theft, destruction...these are not just tools but the end to which he seeks. It is not some grand design to bring down God, or destroy the Earth and Humanity. For if he were to accomplish these...there would be no one else to terrorize, harm, extort, addict, or murder. His very ideals, or logic, is alien to human concepts. Being a primordial aspect of existence, he doesn't share adhere to logical explanation. Every mission he undertakes, is merely a whim. He could be toppling a country in Africa one week, and the next...helping a criminal organization peddle some new street-drug in London. He is completely dishonorable, offering a hand to an ally only to kill them a second later. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Current Host: Matthew Smith was born and raised in rural Kentucky. From an early age he showed himself to be a loyal friend, and devoted to his family. While not "brainy" he was quick witted, and perceptive, traits that would serve him well. After graduating high school, he joined the US Military and ended up as a Green Berets. Proving himself useful, in conflicts around the world, Matthew would fall in love with a woman from Italy. However, instead of settling down, he would continue his work. On a mission, he made some very questionable calls that would get his team killed. While they could not find evidence of negligence on his part, he was none the less asked to retire. [break][break] He would find employment in a PMC, working out of Brazil. This is where his story begins to topple into darkness. Here he was called in to do more and more questionable jobs. Putting down riots, rooting out locals for oil companies, blackmail, and even protection for drug traders. Of course, he rationalized that it was all for his family. That he was doing it for his wife and daughter. The truth was that he enjoyed the power, more and more. "No good deed goes unpunished," they say. And Matthew's punishment would be long, and drawn out. Seeking vengeance, a group of villagers banded together, and raided one of the drug runner's trade routes. It just so happened, that Matthew's wife and daughter were traveling along behind them. When the IED went off...it killed the smugglers...and the three cars around it. Having arrived on the scene after the effect, Matthew couldn't believe it. In a blind rage, fueled by whiskey and his own power, Matthew found the villagers and shot each and every single person in the compound. It was only then that he understood that he had been responsible for all of it. [break][break] Stumbling through the forest, in a drunken depression...Matthew would find it. A cave that descended down into darkness. As he climbed down...it began to grow warmer. And as his hands began to get slick with blood, from the cuts on his hands, he found the center of the cavern. There...lay a mask, old, and unquestionably malevolent. It spoke to him, feeding on his anger and hatred. His depression was an easy weakness that the spirit used against him. And once it had tricked him, he dawned the mask. In an explosion of otherwordly darkness, the light of Matthew was snuffed out. In it's place, a monster known as Husk...came to be. For this was not the first, nor would it be last that Ira-el would possess. Each one was unique, each had a different name, each was from a different time, and each held power at some point their lives. [break][break] Now Husk walks amongst the mortals. Dealing; death, terror, pain, and hatred out to all. He is not a villain, more of an actual terrorist. Taking murder and torture, blackmail, drug trafficking, and human trafficking for the sheer enjoyment of it. Husk has been wanted in at least 3 countries...but continues to elude the authorities there. [PTab=IV.] [attr="class","appcat"]powers [attr="class","apptext"] [/PTab={tab-background-color:#1f4654;height: 420px; background-color: #1c1d1e; padding: 5px;text-align:justify;][/PTabbedContent={width: 310px;tab-background-color:#1c1d1e;border-color:#1c1d1e;tabgap:1}][newclass=.appcat]background-color:#111;text-align:center;font-family:open sans condensed;text-transform:uppercase;font-weight:900;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass][newclass=.apptext]height:390px; margin: 15px 5px 0px 5px; padding: 0px 15px; overflow: auto;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat]color:#e5e5e5;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 15px 0px 5px -10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat1]color:#e5e5e5;text-transform:uppercase;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 0px 0px 5px -10px;[/newclass][attr="class","subcat1"]Hellfire Shotguns Going with his host's predilection for firearms, Husk sports a pair of twin shotguns. These carry 8 rounds each, firing blasts of hellish-fire. Though the wounds are consistent with normal buckshot, no pellets are found in the bodies. When they run out of ammo, Husk merely drops them on the ground, only to pull two more out from his coat...out of thin air. Any weapons left behind seemingly burn away...leaving no trace. [attr="class","subcat"]Wraith Form Husk is able to turn into a wraith of black-shadowy smoke. This allows him to pass through most physical objects, and energy based barriers, and to negate damage to himself. However, he can not attack while in this form, and occult barriers stop him. While he is in this form, only the mask seems recognizable. All other aspects of him are blurred, and appear just as insubstantial as the shadowy-smoke that billows around him. (His mask is still insubstantial and cannot be harmed, just that it retains it's apperance.) [attr="class","subcat"]Shadow Step By selecting a location, within eye-sight, Husk then slides into the ground disappearing. He then reemerges from the ground, at the desired location. This allows him to bypass entire locations, without being seen. Again occult wards or barriers block this ability. [attr="class","subcat"]Harvest Husk can devour he souls of anyone he has killed. This happens just by passing by the corpse. This allows him to heal wounds, and strengthen himself. This affords him a tremendous ability to engage in protracted battles, and becomes a weakness for large "unenhanced" forces to fight against him. As he destroys several weak targets, he can then continue to kill by dint of healing himself at a phenominal rate. [attr="class","subcat"]Death Blossom When surrounded or breaching a room full of enemies, Husk will rely on this ability. In a blur of motion, Husk will empty all 16 rounds of his weapons at lightning fast speeds. This reeks a bloody toll to all enemies in a 20 foot radius around him. At this time, a billow of smokey-shadow will furl out from underneath him, and block damage that is being thrown at him. Afterwards, he will simply pull out a new pair of guns and continue on killing. |
