[break][break] of course, fiona wouldn't be at this point without an abundance of charm, intelligence and some sultry sweet-talking. fiona knows very well how to use her looks to her advantage, and she is very comfortable in her sexuality. however invested she may appear, fiona does not have any true bond to her victims, save from the experience of their emotions as she steals them. she does not speak the truth easily, and is paranoid about her dual identity. fiona prefers to stay under the radar and relocates often as not to have her victims traced back to her. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details fiona is dirt poor. she has known this for a long time, from her hand-me-down clothes that are several sizes too big and too worn-out, and the hunger that rumbles in her stomach, yawning and gaping like the nightmare monster under her bunk-bed. sometimes, she wishes her hunger is as immaterial as the scary bogey man, a campfire tale she can confidently say is imaginary. [break][break] but fiona is intelligent and bright and she knows this is a reality she cannot forget. her peers disown her; the strange girl that is a touch too headstrong and erring on the side of strange. fiona has grown so used to isolation that when the boy approaches her, she dismisses him as wanting nothing more to mock her. his persistence and her loneliness make a dangerous combination. [break][break] it is five past twelve when fiona first experiences the numb of alcohol on her lips and twelve past two when fiona decides that the hazy freedom it brings is all she needs. it starts with a bottle, then the cigarettes that hang loose in her fingers and finally, with the syringe that lies between her veins. [break][break] twenty-year old fiona finds herself a high-school dropout with an addiction she needs that is more than she can afford. even so, what can you do when a habit becomes necessary to sustain your life? fiona longs for the adrenaline to flood her veins, the rush that gives her the energy to live in this colorless world. [break][break] one day, she pulls the trigger and wakes up in white sheets. "heroin almost killed you," the doctor informs her, sober and serious. fiona feels empty inside. she reaches out. she takes his arm. she watches his face slowly become slack, limp and unmoving, until he crumples to the floor. instead of being shocked, fiona is euphoric, eyes rolling back in ecstasy and body brimming with energy. [break][break] apathy stalks out of that hospital. she is fresh-faced and glowing, and the one thing she is not is fiona tiersen, that despicable, stupid excuse for a human being. [break]--[break] in the present, lexy van dorsen smiles, winks at the man in front of her, and slides his drink across the bar. "just for you. you look absolutely lovely tonight," the woman purrs, placing a gloved hand on his arm. she feels his vigor and lust thrum in his veins, and she wants it all. [PTab=IV.] [attr="class","appcat"]powers [attr="class","apptext"] [/PTab={tab-background-color:#1f4654;height: 420px; background-color: #1c1d1e; padding: 5px;text-align:justify;][/PTabbedContent={width: 310px;tab-background-color:#1c1d1e;border-color:#1c1d1e;tabgap:1}][newclass=.appcat]background-color:#111;text-align:center;font-family:open sans condensed;text-transform:uppercase;font-weight:900;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass][newclass=.apptext]height:390px; margin: 15px 5px 0px 5px; padding: 0px 15px; overflow: auto;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat]color:#e5e5e5;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 15px 0px 5px -10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass][newclass=.subcat1]color:#e5e5e5;text-transform:uppercase;font-family: open sans condensed; margin: 0px 0px 5px -10px;[/newclass][attr="class","subcat1"]emotional vampirism activated through skin-to-skin contact, fiona is able to steal emotions from others, leaving them as emotionless, mindless husks (similar to dementor victims). this is determined by the duration of skin contact; a brief touch might leave the victim a touch exhausted, a longer grasp would entail in complete absorption. it takes fiona anytime from 10-15 minutes to completely drain a victim of all emotion. when drawing the victim's emotion in through herself, she is able to momentarily experience their emotions, a feeling better than any drug. [attr="class","subcat"]emotion empowerment the emotions that fiona steal act as her life sustenance, in fact fiona cannot truly live without them. not feeding for an extended amount of time will leave her in a zombie-like state, eventually shriveling up to die. it also supplies her with enhanced durability, stamina and healing factor. examples being that she can run a marathon comfortably without breaking a sweat, it takes more than a few punches to knock her down, and her wounds heal slightly faster than normal, though not enough to make a huge difference. the more emotions she takes in, the stronger her abilities become. [attr="class","subcat"]semi-immortality feeding on emotions has essentially stopped fiona's aging process, leaving her stuck in the body of a young twenty-something. while remaining young, it is still possible for fiona to be killed by physical/supernatural means. [attr="class","subcat"]enhanced beauty the vitality that feeding on emotions provide give fiona an almost inhuman beauty. the effect is merely cosmetic, and if fiona does not feed on emotions for a prolonged time span her beauty will decrease little by little. |
