I DONT PLAY BY THE RULES OF THE GAME ► Bright pink eyes stared at the scrap of paper in her hands, looking it over once more, and then stared down at the phenomenal hole in the ground in front of her. Agent 5, or Reina as her closer comrades called her, sighed. This had to be the hole that everyone was talking about. Reina sniffed the air, and her nose scrunched up; even the air around the hole smelled slightly different... and not in a good way. She backed away from the hole trying to think of the best plan of action to go down the hole. She picked up a rock (more like a large river rock) and dropped it. She counted the seconds, but after two minutes she still didn't hear anything, and that sort of scared her. She backed away quickly when she heard a noise from the hole. Her rock came shooting out of the hole, landing a few feet away. Reina ran over to it, only to pale. The rock was slightly crushed, missing chunks out of it. She poked the rock and it crumbled to dust.
"Okay, rule number one, don't throw things you wouldn't want throw at you down the hole. Damn, that doesn't help me much," the young woman muttered. She pulled out another scrap of paper, this time it was the description of the mission from the Initiative. "Dealing with an immortal king in an upside down world. This isn't going to be easy." A wild grin grew on her face, her eyes lighting up happily. "This mission is perfect."
Tucking a stand of wayward pink hair behind her ear, she called out, "Aiden, did you get lost on the way here?" Reina said jokingly, as she could hear the boys footsteps specifically. "Getting down this hole isn't going to be easy... I think there's something at the bottom waiting for us..." She turned around, gazing at her mission mate for a moment before pointing to the rubble that was the rock.
"I threw a rock down there, and it came back up to almost hit me in the face. One poke turned it into rubble. Whatever is down there is strong, but most likely our only way out of the hole if we decide to back out," Reina said slowly, taking in the information herself.
She didn't like the idea of backing out of this mission, but she felt it was necessary to tell Aiden what was going on in her head. If they didn't communicate well, this could be a disaster. But Reina had faith in her partner that they would get out of this just fine.

[attr="class","mercy"] [attr="class","mercylyric1"]I can make you [attr="class","mercylyric2"]scream for mercy [attr="class","mercybod"]As always, father’s personal line of bodyguards wanted to accompany him. He declined. Although some of them are trained to the point they could pass as assassins, they were still human. What he did accept was their escort though, Lafayette’s not his home state and Sugarford doesn’t exactly look tourist friendly; direction wise at least.
Aiden displayed confidence, sitting upright and emitting the same aura of competence his father has. Just the posture allayed their concerns. Besides, he’s already been through other missions before, this just happen to be the first outside of Kingsport. Not like there’s much to worry, Agent 5 will be with him again. Upon arriving at the supposed scene, he had to remove his suit and his sunglasses. Though their family had an opulent budget, it is best not to damage what he already has. He kept the rest on him though.
He wore an unnecessarily expensive buttoned long-sleeved shirt, laced with thin velvet satin on the neck collar and wrist, but all in all though it was black, like his pants and his shoes. Perhaps he should’ve worn something brighter, considering the sun’s heat retained longer. It’s a good thing he got rid of the necktie at least, now his chest has a bit of a breathing room.
Upon getting close, he shook his head at her question. It was a joke and he acknowledged it, quietly. He couldn’t smile or laugh about it, so there was no visible appreciation for it. It’s what his infliction has done to him. “Did you receive my text message? I told you to wait at the hotel lobby. We had an escort.” Not that it matters now. He listened to her little experiment while he was absent, feeling a bit of a concern. What she had done sounded dangerous, be he will have to acquiesce. Her enthusiastic nature has thus proven fruitful after all.
“Whatever is down there is familiar with the concept of fun. There was no need to send the rock back up here. That’s not enough to fully profile the being down there though.” he deducted, partially. Fun could mean a lot of things, ranging from cheerful and affable individual to a sadistic sociopath. “I’ve done a fair share of research last night. I’ve found nothing strong. I, however have concluded that we’ll at least survive from the environment down there.” he continued talking, take a good look at the hole. It was too dark to determine how far it went. There was something eerie about staring at it too. It’s as if something was directly looking at him.
“I suggest you go in first though.” How rude, but he did have a point. When you compare the both of them, Reina has a better edge when it comes to physical prowess.

I DONT PLAY BY THE RULES OF THE GAME ► Reina had gotten the text about the escort; but Reina, if anything, was independant. And also quite stubborn when she wanted to be. She had waited at the hotel... for two minutes before leaving with bursts of super speed to the mission site. Besides, although she worked well with Aiden, she was a bit uncomfortable with the grand life he lived. "I got your text.. you and your escort were just too slow for me," she said.
Reina arched a brow as Aiden suggested she jump down the hole first. "I think the words 'ladies first' would have been more persuasive than 'you should jump first'. But coming from you, I know I'm not gonna get that far." She sighed dramatically and took a few steps back from the hole. She took a small running start, jumped, and dropped into the hole.
She was expecting a fast paced drop, but as soon as Reina entered the hole, she slowed down, to where she was almost floating downward like a feather. 'That explained why the rock took so long to reach the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, she could see it now that she was inside the hole... and it looked like the floor was breathing. It heaved up and down gently, and Reina peered a bit closer at it. It actually looked... like a stomach.
When Reina landed, and like she thought, she had landed lightly on a large light blue stomach. Peering over, she saw it was a giant cyclops, its single eye closed. "Oh boy, I wasn't expecting this..." she whispered to herself. As she spoke, the large eye flew open. The two froze, looking at each other with wide eyes... or, erm, eye, for the cyclops.
Finally the cyclops let out a frightened roar. Reina rolled off of the cyclops stomach and took a defensive fighting position, hoping that roar had reached Aiden's ears.

[attr="class","mercy"] [attr="class","mercylyric1"]I can make you [attr="class","mercylyric2"]scream for mercy [attr="class","mercybod"]He simply raised a brow at her, giving her a quizzical look. To be honest, he appreciated the joke, but he couldn’t just express it properly so it seemed more like he was offended by her suggestion. Whichever the case is, he insisted she went in first not because of her gender, but rather her gifts.
Once she had jumped in, all he had to do is wait for a few seconds.. Or minutes. Wow, how far does this hole go? He has no idea of the feather fall magic in it yet, so he was uncertain whether or not it was a lethal drop. Not for Reina of course, but for him? Maybe.
Soon a roar came, and that was definitely not the girl who just went in. He’s quite positive of that. Normally he’d assess the situation first, but his comrade might be in danger. Aiden clicked his tongue in frustration, jumping right in the hole and prepared for the worst. The gentle deceleration of his fall surprised him, a pleasant one at least. After the tunnel ended though, the law of gravity returned and demanded him to ready. He bent his knees, bracing for his fall and allowed his right to capture more of the impact. Aiden did a straight up super hero landing. How embarrassing.
He beheld the image of a gigantic creature with one eye. A cyclops? “This is the immortal king?” he inquired. While it wasn’t nothing too extraordinary, he expected something less.. brutish.
This makeshift cavern is impressive though. It barely made any geological sense, but it exists right below the Earth. It’s astounding how much their kind knows about the stars and the endless horizon of space, and yet there’s still so much underneath. Or maybe they’re not underneath, maybe they’re somewhere else entirely. The atmosphere does seem lighter here.
Out of fear, the creature roared one more time and seemed to have talked in an inconceivable language that meant something along the lines of ‘I don’t like tiny awake people’. It grabbed a club that’s respectfully made of its size, meaning it’s colossal as well. It swung down with its size, enough to hit the both of them if they don’t dodge. There’s no way Aiden blocking that, so he rolled out of the way. He was still on one knee and one hand on the ground, with the other free hand he summoned the flames to ready. “I don’t think it’s happy that we’re here.”
