Staying this way for a time before the war came to Gallifrey’s shores, as it did Journey was forced to abandoned his family and regenerate early in his life. This changed his personality. He became a bit more sullen, but some of his curiosity still remained as he spent some time in as a detective in the 18th century. But later he took more to traveling. [break][break] He’s become a little more thoughtful when it comes to people, he’ll always help those who need him and offer it to those that could use it for the right reasons. Journey isn’t direct or court and can often times seem even shy but it’s more like he doesn’t have a lot to say, unless something needs to be said. Then he will say it, he knows the rules of a Time Lord having heard them before. But he will bend ones he can if need be, but he’s generally a polite person unless you came at him or those he’s protecting. [break][break] Then be certain that you’ve made your living will, as he’s been known to strand people whom cross lines with him or others. He won’t outwardly show anger, often keeping a silent rage and a stoic face. He’s not adverse to the ways of combat, but chooses to use it only when the time is right. It’s hard to get him to smile, but he does enjoy soaking in the beauty of nature. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Journey was born of Gallifrey to a Tardis technician, his mother was a busy explorer and he rarely saw her but on return trips to Gallifrey. His father raised him all alone, even though he did go to the Academy Journey enjoyed his time with his father. Who would tell him stories from the returning Time Lords on their travels, sometimes even meeting them himself as he would stay with his father during his work time. Learning all kinds of new and wonderful things as he did, his father was helping create a new type of Tardis before war broke out. [break][break] It ended up being forgotten about as war broke out, Journey’s father remained at his post but much of the Academy were sent home or put into duty. Journey was too young and remained with his father, helping him where he could. He’d see the horrors of war as Time Lords or just their Tardis would return, as war drew closer to their home world. Journey was caught in an explosion that brought the place down on his young person, he was fatally injured but after being pulled out he was artificially made to regenerate to save his life. This didn’t account against his number of regenerations, but neither he nor his father could revel in this as the danger continued all the around them. [break][break] As Gallifrey came down all around them, Journey’s father brought him to the Imagination Tardis and sent him into it all alone. Still reeling from his forced regeneration, Journey complied though still wanted his father to come with him. He shook his head and said that Journey was the one that had to survive, closing the doors and implementing a program Journey was sent into the multiverse to save his life. His home planet was destroyed or at least removed from space, leaving him to his devices in the big bad multiverse. He landed on earth in the 18th century; there he made a small life for himself for a time as a detective. Using a proxy to take the credit where his youthful appearance would otherwise be overlooked, he eventually did some more travelling and learned from many different people across the multiverse. [break][break] He’d sometimes stay in a place for short times, weather he was learning things there or not. He made friends and lovers as he did only to vanish before his youth became too apparent, likely leaving many broken hearts in his tracks. He spent many decades doing this same thing, finding a place and staying for a time before moving on. He even had the odd companion from time to time, but they all moved on with other things. He decided to try and get back to his home dimension, but was thrown back by a dimensional barrier with the signature of a Time Lord on it. [break][break] He was saddened that he couldn’t get back home but was also relived that other Time Lords had survived. Thus he decided to do what he could with the vastness of what he had; he went back to another 18th century earth and went back to being a detective for a while. He moved on again and found himself in world which was filled with super beings; landing in a city full of them Journey thought he might stay a while. It seemed to be quite interesting and he wanted to investigate, this new and wonderful world. Journey has all the trappings that come with being a Time Lord, as such when faced with mortal injury Journey can regenerate his person into another humanoid form. This can be done up to twelve times before he succumbs to the rigors of death, he gains a new appearance, voice and desires on each regeneration. His first regeneration was a forced one and doesn’t count towards his number, as it was artificially induced by his father because of injuries he suffered in the war. [break][break] Being a Time Lord, Journey has two hearts which beat in his chest and if one fails he can survive without regeneration if one still beats. Like most carbon based life forms his hearts can be revived via electric shock, so as to not need regeneration. He’s not as susceptible to poison as humans, this is ones consumed or those in the air and he needs very little air but still needs to breathe albeit much less than humans. [break][break] His mental capacity in both intelligence and memory is umpteen times that of a human, meaning he’s a super genius times one hundred and has an almost unlimited mental capacity this can depend on his body’s age. A Time Lord can live hundreds if not thousands of years before needing regeneration, though this isn’t to say their body doesn’t age but it’s much slower. He’s highly observant and knowledgeable on many subjects, though much of what he knows isn’t all that technological and more related to other types of science or imagination. [attr="class","subcat"]Imagination Tardis Journey has a Tardis of a different calibre then most, his differs in appearance to a notable Time Lord though only slightly. His cannot only go back and forwards in time, but it can traverse the dimensional barrier without harming either side. This also allows him to enter the realms in which humanity thinks are purely fictional, it was originally a prototype but was perfected by his father who was Tardis technician (Of sorts). [break][break] Just like all Tardis, Journey’s is partially a living being but has little reason to go against Journey as it was tasked with his protection. And Journey isn’t silly with his travel, though his isn’t cut out of his home dimension because of the actions of a well-known Time Lord. Thus he’s had to remain in the fictional universes and other realities, not being able to return to his own. But he’s free to travel within any of these, without issue outside of barriers placed from inside said universe. [break][break] The Tardis also translates any and all languages heard by Journey, to be easily understood by him and those traveling with him as well as those he’s talking too. There is no boundary to this, unless the Tardis leaves the time or dimension it even works when Journey is injured or regenerating. In times of strife for Journey, the Tardis or those traveling with him, the Tardis will sometimes appear to make rescue of Journey, itself or his companions. [attr="class","subcat"]Well Trained Most Time Lords even the most famous are without much in the line of combat training, even Journey himself didn’t have any such training when he was younger. But on his travels he’s been trained by some of the best in the multiverse, he’s been taught deduction and detective skills by Sherlock Holmes and other famous detectives. [break][break] Combat by expert martial artists, weapons skills by those excelling in such crafts some known by the worlds others not. In his current form, Journey carries a modified Magnum and a rapier. Though he’s capable of improvising as he’s learned to do so in his travels and training, he won’t start a fight and knows not to fight for violence sake. [attr="class","subcat"]Mental Prowess As mentioned before, Journey is an extremely intelligent and observant with an exceptional memory capacity. Looking into his mind with psychic power would turn even the most powerful human or superhuman mind into mush, meaning it’s unwise to try such things on him. This makes him capable of pushing back even powerful psychics, emotive and other such mind mystics. And even though he’s not psychic himself in the sense of lifting objects without his hands, he is capable of massive mental feats that are usually reserved for such people. [break][break] He’s capable of manipulating a person’s memory, with merely a grab of their heads and touch to his own. He can manipulate people via his words, or via gestures that hook the human or other brains to follow his commands. He rarely uses such techniques because they’re unfair in his mind, but will use them for those that overly annoy him, get in his way, need forgetting or are just plain horrible people. Thus he can pretty much control people and manipulate people with ease, and this is all without the use of technology. [break][break] Although not as technologically skilled as other Time Lords, he isn’t without his scientific skills as he excels in forensics both modern day and pathology based variations. He doesn’t always need machines to help him with such matters, through the use of smell or sight he can sometimes glean things just as easily as would a forensic machine. This is to say his eye sight and sense of smell is better than humans, weather it’d be considered super is uncertain. [break][break] He has full grasp of temporal and dimensional physics which allows him to easily traverse both plans, without issues to time and space. He’s also will read and travelled when it comes to these ancient cultures as well as other dimensions, because of his childhood he’s well versed in Gallifreyan stories as well as others such as human and alien. |
