Thalia likes to think that she's friends with Aphrodite, as much as one can be friends with a god. Maybe she'd rather have Artemis watching her six fighting off an alien invasion but she'd rather go out to dinner with Aphrodite, which is indeed why she invited Aphrodite to dinner at the new French place in Sentinel Hill and not Artemis.

Although now, staring at the wine list, Thalia feels a bit over her head. None of this costs $3 a bottle and so they're out of her range of expertise. She looks up at Aphrodite through her eyelashes and smiles shyly.

”I was going to offer to split a bottle,” she says, ”But none of these are Rex Goliath and so I'm lost.”
