For a man of his age, you’d think his experience had him develop a stern philosophy. His opinion changes a lot and solemnly. There’s no exact reason as to why his belief behaves like so, but if there is ever a popular assumption, it’s his ego. He acts as if he’s unaffected, but it’s clear that his decisions dig a strong root in his pride. [break][break] The same goes for his focus. At times, he has the visage of a babbling mess. He’ll begin talking about one thing, then starts explaining a whole backstory about another while commenting about his favorite show. On hindsight though, his subconscious correlates all these details and facts which mentally helps him come up with a solution, or simply form a better understanding of the subject. It’s not that he can’t focus, rather he is so focused that he lets himself ride his train of thoughts. For a lot, especially for his former master, they see this as the effect of the Elder Ones in their accursed bloodline. [break][break] With that given, he can socially overpower others. He is confident, unafraid to take the lead. This comes off as insensitive, and they’re not wrong. Lucas can be so full of himself at times, which may accidentally or intentionally cause him to ignore the other’s sympathy. Though rarely and painfully, he’s still able to admit his mistakes, just don’t think you’ll actually hear it come out of his mouth. [break][break] It's also best to be warned how shallow he can be. If you verbally assault him in any way, he won’t let it pass by. He’ll have a retort, a sharp one. It’ll be uncalled for, but he won’t see it as foul play. This makes him very petty and vindictive. When it comes down it, his moral compass is pure. He only wants to make sure he fulfills his duties as the Grand Magus, prioritizing the balance over everything else. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details >Summary of the Lovecraft's family history [break] >The Necronomicon [break][break] Lucas was given to Titus, the Grand Magus before Howard and his master. The two traveled throughout the vastness of existence, hopping from one realm into another. From the paradise of Arcadia, or even the wretchedness of the Pandemonium, they stayed under the radar in hopes the Elder Ones won’t track them. [break][break] Each voyage and adventure was an opportunity for Lucas, it broadened his magical aptitude while under the supervision and teachings of Titus. They didn’t specifically keep themselves away from the prime world since he needed to learn everything that exists. It was Lucas’ home, and so they frequently visited for leisure if not studies. [break][break] Titus readied Lucas for the Elder Ones, amassing everything he has. He didn’t want Howard’s lineage to end there after all. Titus told Lucas about the position of Grand Magus, a respected title throughout the realms. He told him that it is the Grand Magus’ responsibility to keep balance in every realm, be it for the light or darkness. [break][break] On his twenty-sixth nameday at Nibiru, Lucas’ master finally acknowledged his maturity. He deemed him worthy to become the Grand Magus. He bestowed the position to him, but it wasn’t formal as it requires the whole collective council’s acknowledgement. Instead he summoned those aren’t riddled with turmoil, and sent messages throughout the universe in hopes they’ll know of Lucas. [break][break] Ever since he’s permitted to walk alone, Lucas favored staying in the prime world, living amongst his kind. It’s his duty to ensure the balance of every realm, but he finds it a bit hard to not play favorites. When he isn’t needed, he works as an “All Around Investigator”, picking up odd jobs from exorcising a cat from a demon, to freeing an entire hyper advanced microscopic race. It doesn’t pay enough though, not that he’s in a position to worry about luxury. Who knows when the Elders Ones will return. [break][break] The Initiative acknowledges his position, knowing his responsibility is not only for this realm, but for everything else that exists as well. The constant exposure from the other realms, and amount of magic that resides within him makes him more resilient against what would normally harm an average human being. Being enhanced this way allows him to be unaffected by moderate to common diseases. He can also recover from natural toxins without needing medicine. [break][break] Bullets can still harm him, or any lethal force. Lucas however, recovers faster than his kind, needing only half the amount of time to get back into the fray. [break][break] His physical capability isn’t as impressive though. At most, he can barely match an olympic sports athlete in strength and agility. To compensate with that, his mind is sharper than most. Having to learn the ins and outs of other planes has honed his intellect and over all mental performance. This enhanced his memory, cognitive capabilities, and brain to body reflexes. [attr="class","subcat"]lovecraft Howard fought a good long fight against the Elder Ones. Spiritually, the bloodline of the Lovecraft family has inherited his adaption against those beings. Lucas is able to resist a huge amount of psychic or any mind-based attacks, to the point he could resist a god’s compelling ability. The same goes for the fear, insanity, and maddening anxiety the eldritch gods specializes with. It'll take a lot to break him. [attr="class","subcat"]grand magus Lucas has a near infinite array of options with magic. He can shoot out a fireball, trigger an earthquake, or even increase the density of a field. There are also spells that enhances or augments his or another’s body. It can be in strength or simply grant them the ability of flight. [break][break] Creating, conjuring, and invoking. All of which he can do. If he can imagine it, he can probably cast it. However, he has his limits. For example, he can call forth the sun’s energy to shoot a precise or city scale of solar beam from his hand, but heeding it to move and crush his target is a whole different ball game. It’ll require time and a lot of stress. A preemptive preparation usually compensates for this. [break][break] His magic is also limited from divination, necromancy, or anything that requires channeling a god’s help. [break][break] Additionally he has access with psionic energy. For the uneducated, it probably falls in the same category of magic. For the professionals, it doesn’t. An easy way to differentiate magic and psionic is how magic relies from the energy of the spirit, while psionic is from the mind. [break][break] This expands his options to a psychic level. His proficiency with it varies from being able to fully materialize and manipulate psionic energy, to accessing a creature’s head and learning their language. [break][break] Any similar spells that has the same effect from magic and psionic is greatly improved, since Lucas has two muscles to amplify its overall effect. [attr="class","subcat"]Necronomicon It is an incorporeal book, visible and soul bound to Lucas. He can summon it at will. Although he can already cast concept manipulating spells, the Necronomicon allows him to cast the spell in an instant, without the expense of his mana or requiring any trade and preparation. He can bend reality, temporarily connect the planes simultaneously, or even resurrect a fallen comrade. [break][break] With the book, Lucas has access in the impure arts of necromancy, the miracles of divinity, or the desolation of eldritch magic. There is one catch however, he will be risking his mental state each time he casts a spell through it. The more powerful the spell is, the more likely it’ll permanently damage him. [break][break] This can be stolen by anyone who’s a master in the arcane or occult art by performing a specific ritual. On a pedestal, the word “open” in eldritch must encircle his form. Proceed to fully cover him in the crushed powder of a fish’s bone from the abyssal zone. Then start showering him in the mixed liquid of morning dew from Midgard, and the blood of a nymph from Nysa. Two willing sentient sacrifices are needed for this to complete. Have the two continuously chant “Life, death, real, and unreal” in Eldritch until the next person to obtain the Necronomicon stab Lucas with a blade made of obsidian. Upon contact of the blade, the sacrifice’s soul will be used as the energy to create the link between receiver and giver. [break][break] It’s important to note that if the person who will be obtaining isn’t capable of withstanding the madness of the book, the ritual will fail and the Necronomicon will resurrect Lucas. If it is successful, Lucas dies and the Necronomicon is transferred. [break][break] An alternate way to obtain the Necronomicon is by having Lucas to willingly give it. Either through unconditional love(as is father did), or full consent. |
