[attr="class","bangtext"]Yura inhaled deeply, "haaa~" and exhaled. The time was 12:40pm, the beginnings of the hour-long lunchtime. With an unopened lunchbox on her lap, and seated on a park bench overlooking a sloped plain of grass, one could see from where she is gatherings of people, whether they be laying down on the grassy slope enjoying the sun, chatting, or watching humorously as domesticated dogs rolled frantically around in the cool green grass.

While most of her colleagues prefer to stay in for lunch to get more work done, Yura always made time to go outside for a break. She does this not to relieve stress, as she has none, but for her own curiosity's sake of observing others. Humans as a species, while not unlike the countless other races she had the pleasure to meet and live alongside, was a species currently at a critical part in their development. How critical? Very. It will be of the utmost importance for humanity to reach a higher consciousness soon, lest it is only a matter of time before they destroy themselves, and the planet of which they come from.

While observing the relaxed humans around her, such a future almost seemed like a fairy tale. But it is very real indeed. Such were the fates of thousands of star systems, housing proud species that were unable to reconnect with life, and remained fragmented from the universe until their very own annihilation. It was always disheartening to experience the illusion of separation embedded into the majority of moral lifeforms, but suffering remains its own teacher, and in a universe where life and death is one and the same, nothing real is ever lost.
