Oh tortured soul, a heart once pure of gold ; Sorrow and grief have tarnished a once pure hope with the intoxicating bite of poisoned hate. Lethargic, the enigmatic presence bleeds through, corrupting, tearing asunder the perfected veil of purity and allowing the burning gire to seep within stalwart grace. It claws, digs to fester and bury deep under the skin, glissading skeletal fingers through malign carcass to permeate and destroy the innocence lost in cruel rapture. Though radiant and scorching upon first approach, malignant and vexing in a glance, there is still an unwavering kindness about her soul. Though she may try to be harsh, to be a thorough monstrosity for the simple sake of survival, she is unable, incapable within her programming to destroy so freely, to act so harshly to those who she seeks to bestow mercy even in her self imposed path to destroy herself. The noose around her neck as she is commanded like a dog on a leash to commit acts of injustice opposite of her true nature...

The fearful souls...those with no weapons to wield and , she would so willingly become a martyr for, a sacrificial lamb to be lead to slaughter to save but a single face, a solitary name and save from the hardships in which she herself once faced. Loss was something that never truly heals, an instigating pain that is never satiated by the passing ripples of time as so many assure. Comforting lies are not sweetly fallen from her cherub lips, only bitter truths of the melodious affliction that slowly eats away at the spirit and weakens the body, the mind into numb paralysis. It was like a neuron-toxic, a deadly bite administered to her heaving breast from the moment she lay eyes upon the fresh corpses who still wreaked of singed hair and flesh. Slowly, surely, she shuts down, the dim flicker within her gaze dulling, dying with each passing day. A raging fire nothing more but smoldering embers.

No confidence, no self-preservation lingers within her, though her masquerade hides well what lay 'neath the surface where she furiously struggled to simply stay afloat. Sleep eludes her, staying just a single step, tauntingly out of her desperate grasp some nights. It leaves her thoughts raw, each one like raking nails over open flesh to claw at the nerves hidden just out of sight. Her mind is cruel, a sick repetition of the traumatic night playing without mercy in each dream she dares to seek. No longer does she yearn for the escape of reality, no longer does she wish to open her eyes to a new day, another wretched moment within this existence. A once pure and holy thing was stripped bare, ravaged ruthlessly by those that would see her dead; her hope. The loyal optimism had been torn from her youthful frame, a far more devastating occurrence than that which marred her flesh. Her body had mended, healed and all that remained upon it was the thin, ropy scar. Childish wonder and bemusement, however, had been slain in cold blood, a murder most foul.

Her training, her teachings to lead had robbed her of her child-hood, leaving no time for other lessons to be learned within life, and while she portrays a serious demeanor to those whom require it without thought, it does without saying that others may see a different front. An act, a facade of stoic disinterest and coldness is always erect, sorrows, vexations hidden masterfully behind the porcelain of her mask as she interacts with the very few souls who may have the fortune or misfortune or coming into contact with the woman. She is no stranger to the children, to the women as she helps in every sense possible from numerous chores to simply playing and occupying those of younger nature. It is often wondered by many how a woman so cruel...so wrathful and destructive can display such unwavering kindness and charity...how a bird once flapping furiously to take flight has had its wings clipped...

Sweet angel of darkness...just how far will you fall?





Born in Paris France, Ultraviolet was conceived by two well known heroes who were rather famous in the world. However, during childbirth she was abducted by Special Agents of an organization known as 'Providence' during their assignments to track children with super parents of mutant nature, thus ensuring their genetic code would be passed onto their offspring and producing mutated children as well in order to initiate them into a program that would use them to further the organizations goals. Her parents were told that Ultraviolet was poisoned with radiation poisoning as a result of her parents fight many months before with a criminal who could manipulate radiation, who later was put behind bars. This was used as a cover for her abduction, her mother was told that she had died due to complications of her exposure. And thus Violets parents came to believe their child had died because of this.

After initial tests, Violet became the prime subject of a sizable Providence experiment hosted in an arctic facility, with the goal of enhancing children with powers and growing their abilities at alarming rates, regardless of the cost. The project was a typical Providence operation: lavishly funded, highly efficient, and morally indifferent, with a heavy reliance on brutal human experimentation and conditioning techniques in an attempt to maximize results. Experimentation that ruined Violets body so much that her skin had become tinted a purplish color and her eyes pulsing with energy as well as her hair being tainted an obsidian-color which aided in her name.

Referred to as Project Ultraviolet, Violet was the core of the project, with every successful enhancement applied to her. Many other children of lesser super ability were also kept as part of the experiment and treated as expendable lab animals, with many dying in trial runs of treatments to ensure that they would be successful on Ultraviolet. Any enhancements that proved lethal were not applied to Violet. She was tortured frequently, both psychologically and physically, in various experiments to test how pain and distress affected her already unstable and raw abilities. As she grew in both age and hatred for her captors, her powers eventually advanced to such a level that she became a serious threat to the staff, easily killing one by blasting them into walls. As a result, she was kept separate from other children, she grew up believing that she was a genetically created monster. Born from a bottle only to be subjected to the hell she resided in. This thought process made her unstable and repeatedly screamed herself hoarse while trying to communicate with others through her soundproofed cell. And her extreme isolation and low feelings of self worth tortured her physiologically.

Other children however seemed to suffer far more as they were regularly and remorselessly killed in various experiments designed solely to advance Violet's powers, the other kids grew to despise her as the source of all their suffering. This was only made worse by the fact that the only time they ever saw her was when the staff forced her to fight the other subjects gladiator-style in order to monitor her progress. Attempting to Desensitize her to the point where killing would evoke no emotion from her and even slipping drugs into her drinks to make her feel a rush from the act.

Eventually, while being led to another deadly experiment, the children rioted and attacked the guards. Backed up by their own super abilities, the riot caused damage to the facility and Ultraviolet was freed. At this point her powers had grown so great that nothing the staff had could stop her. Today she would claim the guards and children attacked her, forcing her to kill them all. However, if one were to go back to the facility and check recordings, they would of rendered it more likely that the children were attempting either to get close to her for safety, since the guards had been ordered to keep Violet alive, or were trying to kill her as a measure of revenge. In either case, Violet's pent-up rage and sudden release from captivity caused her to fly into a fury, killing almost everyone in the facility in a furious telekinetic rampage before escaping the facility and vanishing into a blizzard on the arctic surface.

Her escape however was short lived, as she was later found by Providence Operatives via a tracking chip in her neck. And when she was caught after being hit with several tranquilizer darts, she was brought to an all new facility where she became less of an experiment and more of an asset. Taking all she previously learned and applying it to combat situations she was soon turned into an agent of Providence, with a special helmet latched into her head in order to amplify control over her unstable abilities and given a suit that acted as a straight jacket where Providence could control her actions should she decide to act freely, she is now puppeteered by the organization and forced to do their dirty work all around the world. Without her own will to disobey or reject them. For several years she has worked as their most valuable assassin and operative, achieving very impressive feats over the years and earning the title 'Widowmaker' to the public. She is a ghost, only glimpses of her are ever caught on tape and she remains a myth to many. Though in reality she is no super assassin as the world of heroes may think. She is a puppet on strings and now longs for the day someone...anyone can take her out and ease her suffering.

Ultraviolets power is very versatile in the sense it uses various waves, such as mechanical waves, sound, inertial, seismic, electromagnetic Waves, and shockwaves. She often winds up using her body as the epicenter for the wave generation. By changing the amplitude and wavelength she can create the waves at a much stronger, faster rate, and even travel at a further difference. Combating her has shown to be increasingly difficult as these waves are mostly naked to the invisible eye, most notably the sound waves and seismic waves. She can alter the frequency at which she can release these waves for varying effects and results from simply disrupting the equilibrioception and her ability to balance her bodies equilibrium, to even being able to tear down small building and objects on a structural level. Ultraviolet has been known to tear down defenses by vibrating her waves and abilities to disrupt them on a structural level, weakening the structural integrity. When it comes to close range combat Ultraviolet has shown she can use her abilities to vibrate the air around her punches to thrown long range punches that are equated to being long range punches of condensed wind. The strength varying between simply knocking opponents off their feet, to blunt trauma levels of causing internal bleeding due to impact.

Among all the waves that she can study and learn the most dangerous and effective is that of the Equilibrioception Disruption Waves. The balance system works with human visual and skeletal systems which allows the muscles and joints and their respective sensors to maintain the sense of balance. Visual signals relayed to the brain about the body's position in relation to its surroundings are processed by the brain and then is processed to and fro, from the vestibular, visual and skeletal systems. As seen with Ultraviolets ability to affect an opponents Equilibrioception has proved to be her most effective weapons when in close-mid range combat with opponents. The Equilibrioception or sense of balance is one of the physiological senses. It prevents humans and animals from falling over when walking or standing still. Balance is the maintained result of a number of body systems working together to hold the balance and equilibrium. A culmination of senses all working together: the eyes (visual system), ears (vestibular system) and the body's sense of where it is in space (proprioception) ideally need to be intact. By coming into range of the user waves range the vibrations can affect the targets balance of senses and cause great disorientation within an opponent. Greatly affecting their ability to focus their own powers for offensive and defensive measures within her range, this causes opponents to experience disequilibrium an impairment in spatial perception and stability. Due to the Inertia field of motion and kinetic energy that can be stored within her if the opponent manages to get within range she can insert this energy within their body and cause vertigo, dizziness, and lightheadedness. This move is exerted without force can be used to kill and completely knock the senses out of sync.





The most interesting and perhaps deadly ability Ultraviolet possess is the passive ability that she had to train endlessly until it becomes second nature to her. This technique is known as the Inertia Absorption. This surrounds the her in a "inertia field," which absorbs, stores, and redirects any kinetic energy coming in contact with it. The stored kinetic energy can manipulated for a number of varied purposes, the most famous being the ability to change the inertial properties of objects, or charge these objects and fire them back suddenly. By coming in contact with an object she can transfer kinetic energy to it which alters its state of motion, changing both speed and direction. Since the inertia field is created on the premises of motion anything that enters its field of a different rate of motion can be detected and absorbed. The faster the object moves more likely it can be intercepted and gathered and returned at a greater degrees of speed, which protects her from fast moving objects, projectiles, and ballistics. With her astute understanding of control of her powers she can manipulate the input and output of her power efficiency is maintained in technique usage. This gives her the ability to oscillate move energy rapidly within the body and then use it to amplify her techniques such as her waves, or use it to build up and store to her Inertia Absorption field to increase its functional abilities. This can even be used in close range to have a desired painful effect to her opponents who may venture to close for melee based combat.

This field however makes it virtually impossible for her to be hit by traveling projectiles, ballistics or other forms of kinetic energy. Making many forms of offense weaponry that relies on its speed and moment to impact as once they enter the field it would be absorbed by the field and stored into its collected energy and simply be stored. This has shown to be extremely useful vs powers of the same nature as well as fighters who rely on any form of projectiles and thrown or launched objects. This Field also gives her; with time and practice the ability to have kinetic force manipulation, kinetic force redirection, and minor vector manipulation abilities. Taking full advantage of the ability to increase an objects velocity in a given one direction, or speed in multiple directions. However despite the staggering amount of advantages its actually has a basic weakness that if not filtered and unchecked by her can be used against her. The faster the object is, the more effective the field can operate as it will be attracted and eager to absorb the kinetic energy that radiates from the said object in motion. This field will react in order to obtain motion faster than it and store it for ultraviolet to use at her discretion. However, things that move SLOWER than the fields motion sensors can easily slip past if it is not traveling at a certain speed. So underhand tossing a ball at the field would be more than likely to slip through since it does not move fast enough to be considered a threat.



This unique and devastating power can be extremely frustrating to opponents who rely on quick strikes or speed based fighters or techniques. This does however create a seemingly equal weakness as this field can not pick or recognize objects that move slower than the rate of speed the field functions at. Meaning slow moving objects can actually penetrate her field of inertia and stand a chance of actually hitting her. The field is only interested in gathering and storing fast moving objects to increase it's own output, meaning objects that move slow will go unnoticed and will be largely ignored by the field. If she does not make use of the stored kinetic energy and allow it to increase its speed constantly, it will grow in power, but also lose it's focus on defense making it highly vulnerable to techniques that operate at a slower speed than the field which can result in a direct hit on her. She must be extremely vigilant to this function in order for her to truly make optimal use of her abilities. The strength of this ability is knowing when enough is enough, while arrogance and a power hungry attitude can become her undoing.
