Shanté is the kind of person who will break your arm, if you somehow piss her off. Most of the time she presents herself as kind and charming, and more than a little deceptive. When faced with an adversary she’d ask them to stop fighting before she'd really hurt them. Though that doesn't mean she's not ready to get her hands more than a little dirty. She has been known to pick a few pockets, or do a little shop lifting. But only enough to get by, and never from someone worse off than she is.

Shanté isn’t perfect, at all. She is quite hypocritical really, if she sees someone doing something she disagrees with she won’t hesitate to call them out on it, but she’d justify the action if she was the one who did it. She’s also very rude at times, though she prefers to refer to it as “sass”. Also as mentioned before she has a volatile temper, becoming extremely violent when enraged. While it’s hard to anger her so angry, it is very possible. Not only that but she feels most comfortable around others with powers, so she can easily get into a bad crowd and be seen as a threat while trying to stick with them and impress them. She'll do almost anything for money so she can get by, though not something that'd harm a lot of people, a few specific people though is just fine.



Shanté is a human, like any other human; on the surface. She has light olive coloured skin, light brown eyes, and short black hair with bright purple bangs. She stands at about 5’8”, and would be confused as regular human by anybody. But that’s where the big similarities break down. Internally her organs are very different from a regular human’s, she still has a heart, and lungs, and all those other important organs but they have a different appearance location. This makes it difficult for almost all doctors to help her medically. But for all intents and purposes she is a 100% normal human, and appears so in any test. She could well just be considered a girl with weird organs for all anyone is concerned.

Her differences are also the source of her powers. In the parallel dimension she was originally from all humans had extra abilities, things that we would refer to as “super powers”. These could manifest as anything from invisibility, to time control, or any number of possibilities. Most people had more than a few abilities, which manifest as they mature and learn to control their powers better.

Her appearance on our earth is actually the result of someone Shanté knew from her home trying their power on her, witch warped her to our world. She doesn’t seem to mind though, coming from a world where everyone has powers makes her feel more special, and she’s quite content living here.

The first and debatably most powerful form her abilities is her force field. These are short range, mostly-transparent physical walls which are not un-similar in appearance to glass. These barriers can be projected somewhere in Shanté’s vicinity in any shape to do anything any number of things such as: block projectiles, create a bubble of air, form a floating path to walk across.

The power of these barriers varies based on a number of conditions, such as Shanté’s focus, how far away they are, how many there are, and how much stress they’re under. She can seemingly move these barriers at will, turning them into “force blasts“, or moving platforms to traverse with; though this takes a lot of effort and concentration. It is possible for these barriers to be broken under the correct circumstances.



Shanté’s abilities seem to form as a more energetic trait from her body for seemingly no reason. The potential of what these abilities may encompass is yet unknown, though it is more than likely more powers will emerge in the future.
