She’s just your normal just from down the street who grew up in a bad neighborhood, with a twist. Shanté Dalton’s existence defies logic and reasoning, she grew up on an Earth that was not quite the same as you or I, but not all that different. She grew up on an Earth in a parallel dimension almost identical to ours with only minor differences. Some claim her to be an alien or a monster, but neither is true. She is pure human, indistinguishable from us on a molecular and visual level.

She can make friends with a huge variety of people, (though she prefers to stay away from "normal people") and tends to fall into the 'I may be a bad person, but my friends are my life, so don't you hurt them or I'll make you pay!' category. though she is loyal to anyone who earns her respect, through think and thin.

When she was young she resorted to petty theft and pick pocketing to get by. Even once she got on her feet she made it a point to steal from the criminally rich, they had it coming anyway. While she isn’t the most upstanding person, she will help someone in need if she feels she has to. But she likes her quiet backstreet lifestyle, with her diverse group of friends and would rather stay ‘off the books’, so she avoids The Initiative and government agencies like the plague.
