He falls into the Chaotic Good spectrum of heroes and though he's a member of Initiative, he follows his own compass which can sometimes cause he and the organization to clash on their differences. Though he may be willing to break a few rules to get a job done, his heart is in the right place and what he does can truly be said to be good for humanity, the intriguing race he feels obligated to protect. Be wary with him though! As easy as it is to underestimate Coyote, he is a truly cunning mastermind and some doubt his loyalty to Initiative's cause. Whether that is merited or not has not yet been seen, but you should definitely keep an eye on him, as he is most certainly keeping one on you. positive adventurous clever fun-loving intelligent observant relaxed talkative witty[break][break] negative brazen cunning immature inconsistent jealous manipulative mischievous secretive [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Born of the First World, a place much like an undeveloped Earth, Akba Atatdia was one of the first gods, arguably the creator depending on who you asked. The First World was a small, floating Island that grew overcrowded with time as more beings came to inhabit it, making the living environment to become quite miserable. Naturally this had meant moving to another. Akba Atatdia had traveled across four other words in total before he finally reached the Fifth, the world we all live in now, and has remained here for as long as he could remember, responsible for teaching the first men, though often at his own expense.[break][break] As the world began to grow and mankind became far more abundant, Akba Atatdia, then called Coyote, had become a god to the indigenous tribes of North America. One of the most popular, in fact! He was known as the Culture Hero, the Trickster God, though the opinion of people varied, some seeing benevolent, while others were convinced he was malicious, especially due to his trickster ways. Either way, he reveled in the attention and had made sure to protect his followers, fighting off monsters and even providing for them, often at the cost of taking from others.[break][break] Unfortunately as the years went on, he began to fall out of the limelight and became less of a powerful being and regarded more as a myth or legend. It was alright, but Coyote was not entirely satisfied not being actively worshiped and had taken it rather poorly. In search of that much needed adoration, Coyote had taken to travelling the world and seeing just how well the rest of it had developed, only to return to find his beloved home had taken on a change itself, though arguably not for the better.[break][break] Men from across the great waters had decided to invade and there was little Coyote could truly do to stop it. For better or worse, his homeland had changed over many centuries, his people greatly divided and melting together with these immigrants who had come to explore the "New World".[break][break] Be it shame or lack of concern, Coyote had further drifted from the limelight, laying low as he blended in with society in various ways, trying to learn more about this New World he found himself in. One could never truly say he behaved over the years, however, and had made his mark in history plenty of times as a mysterious green-eyed fellow. He became a sort of vigilante, unable to truly neglect his roots and fighting for humanity when he was faced with the many issues that plagued the world.[break][break] It wasn't until the alien invasion back in 2008 that he really made his comeback, fighting alongside other heroes to fend off the invaders. This, of course, is what had lead him to join the Initiative, finding that much desired praise among their ranks... Mostly. It hasn't come without difficulty, Coyote never being one to follow orders, but he's managed well enough and seems to enjoy being a part of the organization, if only because it presents plenty of interesting opportunities. Regardless of the details, there is some truth to the story and though one would assume he is half-blind, the Old One can see the entirety of Earth. Unfortunately the ability has been weakened over the years, strangely enough, and he can only utilize the power for so long before it starts to cause him pain, making it useful in short bursts, but a literal headache if overused. Naturally this comes in handy when he wishes to track down others or simply spy on people. [attr="class","subcat"]shapeshifting A man of many faces. It comes with being a Trickster deity, quite honestly. His true form is that of an anthropomorphic coyote and is the form where he is at his strongest. His second is a more feral coyote, slightly larger build compared to his wild counterparts. His final slot belongs to his human form which has taken on plenty of changes over the years in order to blend in properly with society. He's taken on many guises, his original being of an indigenous old man, but his current, primary form is much younger and wilder in appearance. He can alternate his age and gender, but the form will always be that of a humanoid. All of his forms will have the same green eye, a telltale sign for anyone who may be searching for him. [attr="class","subcat"]supernatural condition Like other gods, Coyote stands out against mere mortals with superhuman strength, stamina, durability, and especially semi-immortality. He's obviously not human with his enhanced senses and supernatural abilities, but make no mistake. While he has the potential to live forever (and very well intends to!) he can die like any other if gravely damaged, so you wont be seeing him stick his neck out for any party gags because he doesn't really care to meet death anytime soon. [attr="class","subcat"]canine physiology Well... He is kind of a canine, so it's natural that he shares some similarities with them. His sense of hearing and smell are enhanced, even beyond a normal coyote's capabilities, and then extend to even his human form, which can be a blessing and a curse sometimes as naturally he can find himself overwhelmed. On the upside, they enable him the ability to track down targets, resulting in him being an Initiative bloodhound. He's naturally warmer than a human, jokingly referred to as the living heater due to his temperature regulation, and can adapt to any temperature with relative ease. Finally his bite is rather enhanced and even in human form they appear sharper than normal. They can grow sharper still, being natural weapons when taking a more savage route is necessary. [attr="class","subcat"]persuasion Don't let his foolhardy personality trick you, he's far more cunning than he lets on and has a silver tongue that can make him quite dangerous with a malleable mind. The weaker minded folks are far more easier to manipulate and with just a few words, he can charm them into following his command, believing his lies, or even alter their mind, convincing them to forget or even remember certain things that may hide in the depths of their minds. One can tell when the ability is in use when his green eye seems to take on a ghostly glow, the same glow that can be found in the eyes of the target under his control. Coyote can only persuade people into doing things they are capable of, as in he can't convince a person to fly without wings (and yes, he's tried). Those with higher intelligence are harder, if not impossible for him to control and anyone can really break out of his trance if they can find enough focus to accomplish the task. |
