[break][break] Jesse is a good-natured young man, possessed of unbridled optimism and an almost ferocious belief in the inherent good found not just in people, but in all things. He genuinely and truly believes that everyone has the capacity for great things, and that even the most vile of criminals has simply lost their way In his eyes, everyone just needs a chance, and a helping hand. This stems from his family's history of reformed supervillains, so his perspective is quite skewed, but it has instilled in him an uncompromising desire to help redeem even his own worst enemies. This has, of course, gotten him into problematic situations before and will do so again, as it is not often that people take kindly to someone attempting to change their outlook on life. Nonetheless, he is mulish in his belief that redemptions is always possible, and will doggedly continue in his endeavours to help people no matter how many times it blows up in his face. [break][break] He is also a complete and utter, unashamed geek. He simply adores the more fantastical things in life, such as fantasy novels, video games and so on. His greatest passion, however, is superheroes. He has been enamoured with them as a concept since he was a small child, and posters of heroes both famous and obscure adorn his room, as well as memorabilia of every conceivable shape and size. His knowledge and enthusiasm of heroes, both past and present, is impressive indeed, and he is quite able to identity them on sight, making a hobby of trying to collect their autographs. They are, simply put, his idols, and he looks up to them a great deal. He hopes that someday he will inspire even just one person in the way that they have inspired him. [break][break] Overall, though, Jesse is still just a kid. His beliefs, while sweet, are naive, and it remains to be seen whether they will stand up to the unforgiving rigours of the real world. [break][break] In regards to his alien nature, Jesse is largely untroubled by it, in that he tries not to think too much about it. He knows that his mother's side of the family come from somewhere not on Earth, and that he isn't exactly human, but that's about the height of it. He is completely unaware of the fact that he is a living multiverse, and believes he's just a standard superpowered alien. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details The K'sarians are a race of beings that dwell in the space between dimensions. They also happen to be humanoid, living universes. An incredibly powerful people, yet they tend to keep to themselves for the most part, more concerned with their own affairs than what goes on outside of their home plane. Their Empress, however, was not so indifferent to what lay beyond, and in an unprecedented act, she took her daughter, opened a breach into another realm, and promptly left. Finding herself on the Earth that the Initiative now calls home, she and her daughter would go on to become enormously powerful and dangerous supervillains. After a while, however, the Empress' daughter fell for a kind-hearted young police officer that managed to be the one to bring her in a handful of times. After enough elaborately planned false-fights that led to her 'capture', which coincidentally only occurred when said cop was on duty, the two began a relationship. In time, the former supervillainess reformed and, in exchange for being stripped of her powers, was granted a pardon. The two began life anew, and a child was born to them. This child was Jesse, the first and only K'sarian to be born outside of their home plane, and the first, and only to possess the unique mutation of being not just a living universe, but a living multiverse. [break][break] They raised the child, with the occasional advice and support from the now ostensibly retired Empress, and he grew up into a fine, healthy young man. Guided in the use and control of his overwhelming power by both his mother and his grandmother, Jesse was never told of his unique nature in fear of him reacting poorly or doing something brash. His father, to his credit, took to raising a child-sized multiverse with aplomb, doing everything that a normal father would. He instilled in him a desire to help others, to protect them and to always see the light in life. And if there was no light to be seen, then be that light. [break][break] Jesse took it to heart, and has tried his best to live his life in a way that would make a difference. Now, sixteen, and with his family having just moved from Kansas to Kingsport, he has judged himself ready to finally don a costume and join the superheroes he so adores in making the world a better place- Unofficially. His parents would kill him if he joined the Initiative before he was eighteen, after all. Within him resides an infinite number of universes and dimensions, each one different from the last even in only minute ways. What this means for him is that he has the ability to harness energies that are, simply put, limitless. He is capable of drawing upon the energies of an infinite number of universes, though he is still very much young and inexperienced in their more nuanced uses, and he has the potential for more abilities than he has currently. [break][break] Due to his multiversal physiology, he is not reliant upon that which a typical, natural being is. He does not require air or sustenance of any form, and he is essentially invulnerable to all forms of harm, save those targeted and designed for harming universes. That which can harm cosmic phenomena can damage him, though to a lesser degree. The most visibly noticeable manner in which he differs from a normal human is his eyes; They are quite literally filled with universes. His pupils are like miniature suns, and the irises are composed of various galactic phenomena, which all in all is quite a stunningly beautiful effect. His form is somewhat mutable in that he can make his eyes appear normal, however. He also possesses no internal organs, his innards instead being composed of the aforementioned multiverse, though he can fake the fleshier stuff for screenings if given sufficient warning and time. [attr="class","subcat"]Multiversal Physiology Due to being the human form of a multiverse, Absolute's physical capabilities are not limited by the laws of physics or this reality. What this translates to is that he has almost complete invulnerability and immunity to all manner of things, such as mind-effecting abilities, abilities that effect natives of this Earth, dimension or reality, to name a few. He is capable of moving and perceiving things at speeds far exceeding any current measurement. He also possesses immeasurable, infinite strength. So strong, in fact, that with practice he will be fully capable of ripping open doorways to other dimensions and worlds. The fullest measure of his power, however, is that he is even able to shatter all of reality with a single blow, should he so choose. The important thing to note is that he does not use even a fraction of his power, always erring on the side of caution for fear of damaging something unintentionally. [attr="class","subcat"]Energy Projection Absolute is capable of drawing forth the desired energies from the infinite number of universes that he is composed of. He is, at the moment, incapable of specifying what exact type of energy to project, such as selecting red sun energy for example, so for the time being it is simply raw, multiversal force. He can shape this to some degree to form objects and the like, but it is very rough for the time being. [attr="class","subcat"]Senses Absolute's senses are incredibly acute, and he possesses a great deal more of them than even most superhumans. He is capable of seeing, hearing, feeling and sensing almost anything from a vast distance away, in any spectrum, in almost any condition. Whether or not he knows what it is is another matter entirely. [attr="class","subcat"]Flight He is capable of flight, both within an atmosphere and in a complete void, at speeds far exceeding that of light. When he does fly, he can choose to leave a trail of multiversal energy in his wake. [attr="class","subcat"]Multiversal Singularity A side-effect of his unique nature is that, unlike most, he has no alternate universe doppelgangers. He is the only incarnation of himself to exist throughout all of creation. |
