[break][break] He is a diligent and quiet worker, and takes care to maintain a respectful emotional distance from everyone. He doesn't get involved when he can help it. Almost all of the time, Grey doesn't think too deeply about things; most of the time, he acts first, and then only considers the consequences. [break][break] It's worth mentioning that Grey resents change. He accepts the fact that things won't always remain the same, but there is always room for him to dislike it to bits. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details Grey awoke with too much clues as to what his other selves had been doing, or pretended to have not done. It was all in their pasts: J, who wanted an escape; Gale, who never knew he had been set free; Odysseus, who willingly stayed in his shackles because it was the only thing he'd ever known. [break][break] In that case, you might wonder, if Grey was ever a child. Did Grey ever have parents, or people whom he cared for? What's his deal with his past? [break][break] Yes. Yes. Nothing. [break][break] He doesn't talk about the people whom he cared for. No, it's not himself. He never did care about himself. It's hard to give a damn when he feels like he has experienced everything, and yet his physical body has never once left Kingsport. He knows which parts of him weren't once him, but after amalgamating so many things, it's hard to say he's not them in the slightest. [break][break] It's not important to know who Grey was before he was making hot cocoa in the kitchen and suddenly realized he had adamantium claws. Likewise, his knowledge of how to best kill someone is best relegated to being jokes and what-ifs, even if they're alarmingly practical. [break][break] More importantly, and perhaps the only thing you really need to know about him: Grey is a vigilante on the streets of Arkham that is very slowly (and also literally) clawing his way to the top of the infamy heap. He's bloody fun. [PTab=IV.] [attr="class","appcat"]powers [attr="class","apptext"] [attr="class","subcat1"]amalgamated lifeform Grey is on a slow trajectory of absorbing all alternate iterations of himself. The gradual process turns him into an amalgamation of memories, experiences, knowledge, and powers amassed in various timelines and universes. [break][break] People similar to those his alternate selves have once encountered may or may not feel familiar vibes. |
The amalgamator. He can absorb his alternate selves. Grey's other abilities have surfaced after the consumption of dust, but remain dormant; one of them being the ability to form a layered bone exoskeleton around him upon activation.
A pretty threatening alternate version of himself. From J, Grey obtained knowledge of herbs, the ability to physically shatter psychic barriers, an adamantium skeleton, claws that go snikt, an enhanced regenerative factor, and dominion over corrupted beings. Grey is aware that all but two of these 'gifts' came from a being named Hashr, but has no idea if Hashr even exists in this world. For reasons not related to Hashr, he also gained a charismatic charm often seen in cult leaders and capable businessmen.
[break][break]
Regarding dice: Grey can opt to roll twice and take the better/desired roll. He can also roll to break free of status effects.
[break][break]
Grey's personality takes after J the most, as J was the first to be amalgamated.
Potentially more lethal than J, if played right. A trained hunting-dog, Gale's brain was reprogrammed with the intention of turning him into an exceptional assassin. Lithe, agile, and incredibly strong -- these things are all Grey now. He also obtained most, if not all, of Gale's expertise in assembling and using weapons.
[break][break]
Shortly before Gale was amalgamated, he had just ingested a vial of super serum. Its effects have yet to take hold.
Not the guy from the Iliad. Odysseus was a fairly talented artist with a keen sense of touch, as well as superb motor coordination. He is arguably as adept as blitzball players at holding his breath underwater for extended periods of time, and also at performing complex moves underwater without really tiring out.
[break][break]
Grey's appearance at the moment resembles Odysseus, who was most recently absorbed. This comes with the uncanny side effect of looking startlingly similar to Delta.
[break][break]
[attr="class","subcat"]null occult + dormant resist psi
If it's spiritual, or magical in any way, it has no effect on Grey. It can hit him and leave him untouched. There is no explanation for how it works; perhaps it is simply because he does not comprehend it. He also has a dormant resistance to psychic-based abilities.
[break][break]
Note: Gale was once a channeler, and Odysseus, a medium.
[break][break]
[attr="class","subcat"]musical talent
Grey is a musical prodigy. So were all his alternate selves, until they were absorbed into his current form. This means that whatever talent he has pretty much just exploded. He has absolute pitch, is an incredible singer and can play any instrument well.
[break][break]
[attr="class","subcat"]bitter powder
This is the only way to do it justice. Bitter powder: a powdery substance purportedly made from ancient dust and bone. Maybe it's just herbs. It is said to be a form of alternative medicine that can heal anything and everything. The point is, no-one knows what makes bitter powder, bitter powder.
[break][break]
Consuming bitter powder neat, in tea, or in hot cocoa converts it into sustenance for Grey. With it, he no longer needs to eat proper meals, or to even sleep. This comes at the cost of him looking really questionable when taking his usual dose of bitter powder. It is unknown if bitter powder only affects him, or what the full extent of its effects are.
