now, aidan is pretty unassuming, usually - an average kind of guy, menial job, college dropout. that’s what he wants, since his identity as the vigilante sovereign is something he guards with his life. having come to kingsport just before the invasion, dismayed by the carnage and by the conditions of those living in arkham, he’s nominated himself as a kind of peacekeeper, chasing out heroes and villains alike.
FRIENDS: he’s naturally a very quiet man, but he is unfailingly polite and courteous, and most people come away with the impression of him as a nice, if rather shy young man. he does best when with people who will fill silence and be satisfied with him interjecting into conversation every so often, but when he’s completely comfortable with someone he does become considerably more chatty. he’s actually a huge nerd i advise you to avoid him
ENEMIES: there’s no love lost between aidan and initiative heroes - he basically thinks they’re universally assholes who care nothing for the collateral damage they cause. villains too, but they don’t have their identities known as a matter of public record. it’s not to say that he can’t appreciate individual initiative employees who aren’t assholes, but he is hostile at first.
ROMANCE: he’s actually plotted already so uh. stay tuned
OTHER: aidan runs a sideline as a fence, funnelling profits into getting himself better gear - anyone looking to offload or find suspicious but mundane goods such as body armour, weapons and medical supplies would do well to hit him up!

Sovereign x Cupid
Sov meet the man with the worst luck you'll ever meet! Cupid used to have a life before he moved to Kingsport, or at least more of a normal one. Then his grandparents died, the only family he ever knew, his girlfriend left after they had a pregnancy scare, and he had literally no where to live. So why the hell not fly yourself to the East Coast? Well his ex lives in Kingsport, and he's kind of an idiot and thought he might surprise her and say Hi. Turns out he's a total chicken shit and hasn't exactly gotten around to showing his face, but Eeeeh in the mean time...Well, he avoids the Initiative like the plague. This guy has some terrible luck, and has accidentally placed a target on his back by the heroes of the city for finding himself in a few sticky situations with not so nice people.
Overall he's just a nice guy, but he really dislikes the Initiative and their policies. He feels that he has a right to his privacy ya know, his identity. He doesn't like the politics that are involved in the group, or that they force their heroes to agree to disclose all their information to the public. It just seems wrong, and he don't like it that their views seem so black and white with little grey area. That being said, being effectively homeless, having no choice but to roam town typically during the evening hours (since he has giant wings on his back that give him away regardless of any attempt to cover that shit up) he's always getting involved in something. So he could really use a friend. He hasn't really had one of those in a long while, but he's been so isolationist because he doesn't want to get caught in town and sent to prison. Most times he just feels like an utter freak, and could use some nice pep talks or for someone to treat him like he's not a total villain. Since these two dislike the Initiative for similar reasons, I figure they could bond in that. Cupid is also a huge nerd so he'd totally appreciate it from Sovereign too. I was thinking for a thread that maybe Cupid is in really bad shape after pissing off the wrong vigilante, enough that he can't just fly to some semblance of home, and Sov finds him. The irony of it all being he can heal others but not himself. Doesn't his life suck?!
Anyway, thoughts ideas? Is this terrible? If so I'm sorry Dx

Cupid that sounds like an idea! bonding over first aid is probably 90% of vigilante-vigilante interactions in kingsport tbh
they sound like they could get along really well, so YES ELAINA LET US THREAD THIS and see where they go? street-level vigilantism teamups maybe WHO KNOWS. my thread load is a lil heavy rn so if we go now it might take a little while for me to reply, but if you're okay with that so am i!
