he wears a domino n holds himself differently so yes 2 an extent? he does have a nose-mouth facemask but its not something he uses cautiously enough and he can usually just go in n edit ppls memory of seeing him w/o it anyway |

nemesis: Yo. We've talked a lil in the cbox, but here's a plot reply 'cuz Grey got accepted for reals.
tl;dr: grey is a stoic person who absorbed other versions of himself from other universes and started acting like they would, so the question is who is the real Grey? Is he really more J than himself? Who knows. But yeah the point is, Max should totally go pick his brain in some absurdly contrived situation. Like they're seated together on a bus and Max just pokes in bc it's a boring ride, etc.
I should probably mention that Grey's mental landscape is probably going to err heavily on the side of 'wtf man u ok' lol. Also someone else has been in there before Max got there, so ... idk, I'm just thinking a situation where what seemed like a one-off encounter on the bus, eventually just ends in them getting wasted at a bar bc it was Too Much lmao.
p/s: btw delta doesn't get out of the house but I just wanted to say that I'm glad for another villain who doesn't really do Evil the way evil does y'know. I'd ask if you want to thread but atm Delta is too comfy at home like the shut-in he is

MAX USUALLY TENDS NOT TO GO IN W/O REASON because yeah he learned v quickly that some ppl are super fucked up and he does not need that in his life. what he does have passively is a vague sense of being able to feel abnormal mental signatures, usually just a 'do my powers resonate w their biology y/n' but grey would almost feel hella wonky. and in a way where itd be completely new to him, as well - and that would be what piques his curiosity.
but yeah i love. I LOVE. because when max starts looking deeper into someone he tends to have to bring them with him - it's an exchange of thought and intent, obviously, and it's certainly a two-way street even if max is reaching himself into someone else. so what im thinkin is max getting pulled in a little more than he rly planned to because of grey's crazy mental architecture and the two of them goin on an impromptu adventure
also yes pls the bus driver wakin them both up at the end of the line like 'what the fuck, dudes, you have been asleep for hours' and they end up getting smashed to hell and bonding over all thi s fucked up shit
also delta RIGHT. like all i can think is them meeting via the net bc max is one of Those Guys on tech forums probably |
