In Arkham she heard rumor of a pretty decent farmer’s market that was open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Honestly it was a godsend to Persephone who preferred to cook her own meals than resort the fake pomp of the restaurants in Dunwich. But then again, Persephone had always been a relatively finicky eater. She had an overly critical, judgemental eye towards any meal she had not made herself.
She wasn't a very savvy grocery shopper, though. She grabbed anything she could find that was relatively pleasing to her eyes. A few ripened tomatoes, a pound of beef, two loafs of wheat bread… what a sale! Persephone couldn’t help but to smile at how cheap her list had come out to be. As the middle aged man politely bagged her items for her, she glanced outside the translucent sliding doors with wonder in her eyes. The sunset always tugged at her heartstrings; dusk painting the skies orange and black like burning away the daylight into a charcoal nighttime.
After thanking the man and paying him the money she owed, she left the market with two bags swinging in her hands. Persephone was in a good mood. She had heard that Arkham was significantly more dangerous at night but she didn’t seem fazed from this glaringly obvious fact.
Even when two men approached her, one grabbing her wrist and the other flicking out a switchblade. Persephone had to try very hard from rolling her eyes at them. She felt if she did, her eyes would simply roll out her sockets from how hilarious this situation was.
The man with the weapon demands for money and she scoffs, which makes the other bring her closer to him and shake her a bit, but Persephone was unamused. “My apologies, I used all my money paying for the ingredients for my dinner tonight.” Her voice is sympathetic and nasal in a dismissive way, “So I need to go now…”
She pulls her wrist away from the man holding her, and twirls on the heel of her foot and brings her leg up before slamming it down onto the face of the man in front of her. Leaping over his now unconscious body she sped off into the opposite direction from whence she came.
She stops running and notices she had no clue where she was. Her wristwatch read 9:47 PM and Persephone knew she was lost. She sighs loudly, tilting her head back in frustration. “Of course.”
This was the last thing she needed and it ruined her good mood. And she definitely wasn’t going to call Hades. No. That simply wasn’t an option!

Kuro liked the sunset, too. Not because it was pretty or because it pulled at something deep and unknown inside of his chest, but simply because of how the clouds would congregate together. It intrigued him to where he’d find a prime perch on a rooftop and stare at the clouds and make shapes out of them. He liked the night in Arkham… there was always something happening.
Tonight was one of those nights.
Casually he tears his eyes from the sky to see a woman possibly being mugged below him. Kuro grimaces, pulling out his trusty twin pistols from his inner coat pockets only to find that this woman had the situation already taken care of. She drop kicked the guy in front of her, using his falling body to propel herself forward. All the while she never drops her groceries. Kuro was impressed just as much as he was intrigued. He follows carefully behind her, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with blatant ease.
Finally she stops and Kuro sits back down on the edge of one rundown building to her left. His whistles to get her attention. “Oi… are you lost, lady? Who am I kidding, of course you need help!” He says solemnly, kicking up his legs to and fro.
“You look pretty high-class. Why the hell are you kicking robbers in the face and not worrying about your breaking new acrylic nails, huh?” He snickers immaturely before leaping down and landing without a sound in front of her.
