she's been in the initiative for two years or so, her most notable power being her ability to heal with her tears. she's meek and shy, and is a nature activist with some ties in the community. currently living in arkham despite the dangerous conditions. she's a hero with a moral compass and only wants to help people.[break][break]
GOOD FOR: cute friendship plots, not-combative missions, kidnapping, being intimidated by villains, your character helping her learn about the modern world, healing wounds with her tears.[break][break]

his alignment is himself. not saying he isn't a good person, because he is, but he prefers not to put his faith in anyone but himself. kuro is not afraid to kill, steal, or cheat anybody in the name of his goals.[break][break]
GOOD FOR: him awkwardly crushing on your character, fight threads (yes please), enemy plots, rival plots, someone helping him find direction in his life, punching someone in the face, "friendship" plots.[break][break]

MY FAIR LADY !! okay daphne literally missed her leader / queen of her heart and she only came to america because she had heard there were some familiar faces here so. she's so happy artemis is here. it says that daphne wasn't aware that it was apollo chasing her... she thought it was some random dude... crying she's going to apologize profusely and blame herself for freaking out and leaving her behind. BASICALLY SHE'S going to follow artemis around and run her errands and be the Best handmaiden ever. what is pizza? teach me madame. jack i'll never turn anything down with a aladdin reference ok. she'd be really intrigued with anything electronic, all sparkly eyed and hands on her face LOUD GASP. jack might have to stick around her because she's clumsy and tends to break things. obviously she doesn't mean to but she's CLUELESS and DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. but they could both just be hanging out and something fishy starts going on and daphne is just WHOOPS GOTTA GP SAVE THE DAY JACK COME W/ ME. idc i want these two to be cute friends or something. tree friends? ??! yes please. |

He's also totally alright if she's clumsy around modern things 'cuz he's really, really patient. (Also because he went through that phase in a past life, but shh.) In that case, maybe we could combine both ideas? I mean Jack's neither hero nor villain, but if it's managing mischief/trouble with a friend he's always down for that. o/ Or would you prefer doing a prelude to that, like a meeting thread first? |

daphne I spoke to Toska about my thoughts on what Apollo thinks of Daphne yesterday, and to recap: Eros chose exactly the right target to embarrass him, because Apollo is really mortified that he chased after one of Artemis' hunt girls. As a brother-sister thing, this is my room, that's your room, don't touch my stuff and I won't touch yours unspoken rules go, Daphne was not the right lady to chase. He is new to the Initiative, and he drags Artemis into it. I figure that's how he learns Daphne is around. I figure the arrow's worn off after 10,000 years, but he's still very apologetic about the entire mess. Laurels are considered holy to him, after all. I mean, he's turned his actual lovers into trees and flowers before, but that's because they asked him to. Daphne got a pretty raw deal in comparison. I think Apollo would want to apologize in person, but after that he'd probably avoid her (on the assumption that she doesn't want to see him) and be excessively nice to her if they do run into each other. |

jack please all these aladdin references are gonna kill me !! but seriously. but she'd really enjoy their time together because it feels so nice to relax and learn new things at her own pace, whereas back in greece she was given a bow and arrow like, “kill or be killed.” yeah it was a wild time back then for her lol. honestly i'm up for both those thread ideas but i don't wanna overwhelm you with daphne's silly antics so we can just do the latter where they try to Fight Crime Together. daphne and jack ftw. apollo hahaha this. the thing is, daphne is not aware it was apollo chasing her. she was so scared she just ran and didn't get a good look at whomever was pursuing her. but this was classical greece and men didn't court they just chased after their women like wild animals (zeus and leto for an example). but once she does find out and apollo is apologizing, daphne would just... confusingly tilt her head and kinda look at him all lost and intrigued. she wouldn't think anyone like herself would attract the attention of a god !! but she'd forgive him, of course. no harm, no foul. she wouldn't understand why he was openly avoiding her like she is the black plague but i seriously doubt she'd question it. it has been 10,000 years and she's mostly forgotten about the whole situation really. VALKYRIE yes good she'll adore val for it ok she needs all the help she can get. |

daphne Hey! So Aphrodite is Eros's mother, which basically means that she's partially to blame for the whole Apollo mess. I can kind of see Aphrodite teasing Daphne to an extent. Aph won't exactly understand why such a pretty nymph is bound to a virgin goddess of the hunt. 8,000 years ago, Aphrodite might even have been offended by the fact that Daphne chose to stay chaste. I can see Aphrodite possibly trying to make Daphne a little uncomfortable by making more men pursue her- but it would all be in good fun. Aph knows that Daphne is a good gal and would love to help her adjust to the modern world. Maybe they can work together and do some publicity stunts for the Initiative, too. Let me know what you think, I know it's not a lot to go off of, haha <3 |

daphne See, that Daphne doesn't even know is almost reason for Apollo to just want to pretend it never happened at all, but the thing is, it's totally down in mythology. People know. Also, the other gods know (well, not Artemis, but that's only because Artemis doesn't pay attention), and he kinda wants to apologize to get it off his chest. He's not too apologetic about being a caveman over the whole thing, but rather that he didn't want her to end up as a tree for ten thousand years because of him? That's rough.
But either way, he's glad she's not bothered about it!
It sounds like you've got a lot of threads in the works and I don't want to overwhelm you, but whenever you're free, I'd love to thread! |

APHRODITE gosh aphrodite going out her way to embarrass her would be funny ngl. it's mostly because she does not understand the very things aphrodite represents: love. does it have a texture? a form? how do it feel? honestly she's just really confused and surprised so many gods have had a role in her life due to something small as apollo chasing after her that one time. daphne doesn't hold any ill will towards any of them really. all of y'all are weird and crazy to her tbh. but really she needs all the help she can get. overall she adores aphrodite, and finds herself learning a lot just by being around her. i'd love to see these two hang out and do heroic stuff together !! apollo shhhh i'm always down for threads. daphne holds apollo to enough respect due to him being the brother of her patron goddess. if anything she'll blatantly ignore the elephant in the room and try to be friends with him because she wants this to work. centuries ago i'm sure she would have been angry, but living as a tree for that long kinda mellowed her out in a sense. she just wants apollo to be comfortable !! everything will be fine. but like i said before, i'm always open for threads. and i'd love to thread with you ofc. |

i think the dynamic these two could have is suuuper cute. aphrodite might treat her like she's disposable at times, but i do think she would enjoy daphne's company and has her best interests at heart. i can just see aphrodite in a sephora testing all the products out on daphne, lol. are you up for a thread? i could probably start if need be :) |
