{ } she raises her hand, slow; the earth crests, bulges, and finally breaks as a hand emerges, a shoulder, finally the rest of the body. slightly decayed and in ruin, faust gently weaves a hand over the creature as the earth melds to its bones and skin remnants to structure what is missing, to assist it in standing and beckoning it over. it joins the rest of the trio that she has already risen; now a group of four undead. she sighs, leaning her head to the side and allowing for her small frame to rest against the grave marker. all people who had died sometime in the eighteen hundreds, from decay and marker descriptions, yet none were what she wanted. she needed to body of a potential witch that had died here; it was an important catalyst for her goals. an hour later, she had succeeded. faust has a smile, cut into her soft face, as she holds what was the ribs of the witch. her grip tightens; the bone glows. the ground, dark with death and decay and the now-shifting rotten flesh of her servants, begins to alight as her magic is focused. the words echo in her mind, leaving her mouth, and the array of arcane symbols cut into the graveyard and then vanish in the same moment. the undead fade and fall back into the earth; the rib is gone. she has succeeded, in some form or fashion. faust temporarily created a large enough magic-centered beacon to draw a crowd, sensible only by those of higher magical prowess than herself. after all, she had needs to be met today. "Hm?" Maria turned to question. He sensed a magical beacon, twas interesting. The power radiated outwards he felt it as he started walking towards it. Or, well flying. He felt compelled as the wind picked up under him as he started flying up and flying towards the area of origin.
He looked around and seeing there was a few people who sensed the beacon as well.
"Huh," he voiced to himself, looks like it wasn't aimed at just him, more to a few other than himself. "Well," he said finding the point, before anybody else he might add as he landed. There was dark magic here, he could feel it in his bones. A shiver traveled up his spine as he looked around. There was another person here, someone had to have set up this beacon after all. "Hello?" he questioned with his soft voice.

{ } so they gathered, showing up shortly, some together, many alone. faust could count at least a handful, sensing them via their magical presence and how they felt on the flesh-earth above her. indeed, the lands of the dead - these graveyards - felt as new as rotting flesh to her, and she could keep her eyes closed, breathing them in. where faust was in relation to them was simply below, in the earth itself. she reached out a bit more, finding that only one qualified for what she needed. the rest, then, became nothing in her eyes. faust raised herself from the earth, very slowly emerging several feet from maria, looking around at everyone else gathered and cocking her head to the side, curiously. "i wonder if any of you would be more useful if i tinkered on you." her hand went up, palm to the sky, and her fingers twitched; like playing an instrument. several undead hands, limbs, bladed, sharp and decaying, all emerged around the other magic users, otherwise piercing, grappling, and dragging them into the earth. the element of oddity and surprise had been on her side there, and while there were fading screams and muffled bleedouts, faust didn't react. she seemed all too bored with it as she moved to maria, taking gentle steps. "excuse me for taking out the trash. i would like to discuss with you some matters of importance."MARIAMADE BY VEL OF GS + WW

There she stood, the necromancer. Maria watched as the bodies began eating up the other mages, not in a literal sense, but it would have been anyway. He watched with disgust in his eye's watching the bodies devour the witches into the ground as the screams echoed the area and only blood remained. It sent shivers down his spine, poor people.
"How....Dreadful," Maria spoke looking at the woman. "Matter's of important, dear?" he questioned looking at the woman who summoned them. It seemed only Maria was the one to be allowed to live by the woman. "I hope this is a great deal considering you killed half the people to attend,". Touching some of the blood on the floor as he bent down rubbing it between his before summoning the blood up from the dead witches which formed into a crystal in his hand. Witches blood was quite useful for thing's, and since there was an abundance right here, why not take some?
"Fresh blood is had to get off of clothes," he remarked looking down at his outside which had splats of blood. "But anyway darling, what business would you like to conduct?"

{ } "they will live on, in matters more important than how they squandered themselves." faust did not move, did not falter as she spoke. it was fact, nothing more, no reason to change her cold expression as she looked at the earth, fresh with blood, saturation, and flesh. the bodies, the bones, of those with the talents she had summoned would be added to her collection; excellent catalysts for greater creations and future studies. these sunk into the back of her mind. faust turned her attention to maria, summoning up a staff from the ground - a gnarled thing of wood and bone, but otherwise simple in design. she stood tall, back straight, and gave a gentle bow of the head to maria. the witch crystal was a good sign; faust herself had little use for the blood as she had too many difficulties distilling it with her brand of magic, but she had the bones, which was enough for her. "i will not attempt to harm you, because i recognize you as a magicial superior to myself. i've been sensing bits and pieces of you in my studies within this region, and i was... interested." her eyes moved up and down, taking all of maria in. "i have questions. inquiries. i wish to know more of your source. of what you really are." at this, fausts eyes take on a hollow appearance, as if she never had any in their sockets; a small blue pyre remains where her eyes should lie. "you are not very human, are you?" MARIAMADE BY VEL OF GS + WW

Maria looked at the woman/demon who summoned her staff from the ground. How interesting, biology magic was a certain magic he found rather interesting. Taking bones, flesh, sinew, blood, hair, bodily fluids and more was an interesting way to use magic. He was more into sacrificial. Now, this person was an interesting one, he could feel necromancer written all over her, and from her little display, it seemed to solidify his answer.
"Interested? Inquires? Of course you do," he spoke in contentment. Could she? Would it be weird to place such trust into a woman?
He smirked at the woman's remark of him not being entirely human. "Define human," he requested. But she was spot, he wasn't indeed, entirely human. Staring into the woman's blazing eyes. "And human you are not as well," brazenly told. "Questions, questions, questions, I'm assuming you have many, my dear, I would be happy to exchange what I have learned in exchange for a deal,". His eye's closing and opening to reveal a new pair. His eyes changed with every blink, if she wanted to change her expression he would too. He's not one to be frightened.
The wind picked up around him as he did. "Games are played for two,". and finally, one final blink and his eye's changed revealing he did, indeed, have the universe in his eyes. "Magic is might," as a light blue glow started bleeding from his eyes into the sky like a fire.

{ } "i am human, to a degree." faust leaned her head to the side, resting it against the staff. for someone who looked young, she felt tired, and also again felt younger still compared to the one in front of her. she viewed the montage of gazes, knowing that even if it was minor magic at work, it was magic nonetheless, and magic she didn't have a grasp over, control over. "indeed. magic is a quest. a burden to bear, but a grand one." her fingers tapped away at her staff, silent, but working at it as if a piano was playing within her mind. she decidedly changed expressions back to normal eyes; faded, weary ones, but with the shine of curiosity, of interest. "a deal. tell me what it is you want. i am curious as to what you might require of one such as myself." curious, but aware of some services she could provide. very few of the magical persuasion could conquer death like she could; twisted as it may be, it was often a taboo study or simply outside of their realm or domain to mess with it. even still, to define it with the control and finesse faust had honed over two hundred years of private study required outside sources; she had to pick the brains of a lifetime of doctors, of specialists, of the undead themselves. visiting transylvania was an experience she would like to avoid again. "ask of me, and i shall provide."MARIAMADE BY VEL OF GS + WW
