Sometimes he knew when Lonny was teasing, and sometimes he just wanted to be his usual serious self and make him laugh. Yes he could have a sense of humor. To hear Lonny's laughter was all the blessing. He gently rubbed his upper arm, glancing over at the door hoping the woman wouldn't come back just yet because he liked having his alone time with his fiance. When he realized then that he would have even more the time, the rest of his life with him, it put a smile on his features before he looked over at the blonde once more.
The look he was given made him feel a little guilty for what he'd said. Though it renewed his motivation to make this go as smoothly as possible. "I do." He replied to his question, "If you want perfect, I'll do whatever you need to help make it happen." Jakob then reassured, hoping that would put his fiance at ease at least.
Closing his eyes briefly at the kiss he received to his jaw, he felt butterflies flutter in his stomach because of it. Even still Lonny had such an effect on him. He couldn't imagine that changing anytime soon either, not that he wanted it to. His question bringing him out of his thoughts, he lifted his lids and considered it to himself.
He'd be lying if he said he hadn't thought about it, but he was uncertain. "I'd like to live with you." Jakob admitted quietly. He'd have to move his things from the Initiative housing, but he wasn't even sure if his computers and hardware would fit in the one room Lonny had. "But I don't want to intrude in your space." The more he thought about it, he just felt that he'd be inconveniencing him.
"Would you want me to?" Jakob then asked in return, looking down at his fiance to see his reaction.

The blonde smiled lightly at the answer his fiance gave. He'd do everthing he could to make it perfect...well he guessed perfect was bit silly. Maybe. Really what was perfect? And he didn't want to stress Jakob out either. "Mmm. Maybe not perfect...I just...I would just like it to be nice you know? I never thought I'd get married, and now I have you." Lonny murmured, leaning against him while Jakob rubbed at his arm. "I would like it to be nice for us both." Was this what crazy bride people sounded like? He didn't know. He frowned briefly at the thought. He hoped he didn't sound like some crazy demanding brat.
He watched Jakob though, as he waited to see what he might say to their living together. He knew before they had stayed separate because well, public and all that. Keeping their relationship a secret. They had their own separate reasons for it but it didn't matter any more did it? They were going to be married, Jakob was going to have to break it to the press some how....and he really didn't want to not live with out Jakob with him if they were going to be married. If it were possible, he wanted to be with him.
Lonny gave him a quizzical look as the other man said he didn't want to intrude, though it did make him terribly happy to hear that Jakob wanted to live with him too. He leaned in a third time, this time however he pressed a soft kiss to Jakob's lower lip. "I don't know how much stuff you have. I know you have computers right? You've told me about those. I don't...I don't know if they will all fit but if you don't think they will we can look for somewhere else to live? When we have more time. I know we have a lot going on right now." He was rambling he knew and he frowned at it. "But I do want to live with you. If we are going to be married, I don't see the point in hiding if you are going to tell the press about us."

Jakob didn't understand all the fuss that went on over weddings. He was just happy to be considered married to the most important person in his life. To spend his life with him, to have others consider him special to him too in face of the dangers that came with it's publicity. However, because Lonny wanted it to be special for them, Jakob was more than willing to do anything in his power to make that happen. He never thought he'd buy a ring for someone after all, having a wedding party couldn't be much different.
"I've never been to a wedding before, but I'm sure it will be fun." Not one for parties in general, he was still certain that with their friends present they would have a good time. Jakob would at least enjoy seeing Lonny utterly happy around people that truly cared for him. He was looking forward to it more then he had when they first started talking about plans and colors.
He closed his eyes once more as he felt Lonny leaning in. Holding his breath so slightly as the boy kissed him. It was a nice reassurance that went along with his words as the man then spoke. Jakob looked down at him, frowning so slightly at his fiance's concern. He didn't want him to need to worry about it, but what's more he didn't want to push Lonny out of his apartment because of his tech. He knew he could keep much of it at the initiative still, the bigger stuff anyway. "You would be okay with it? Moving somewhere else."
Jakob didn't think they needed something large and roomy, and he quite liked living in close quarters with his fiance, but maybe it would be wiser to move into something that could inspire growth. He knew they didn't talk about it much, but maybe he'd like to get a cat or pet of some sort, and perhaps..have kids. "It doesn't really matter where we live, as long as you're safe..and whoever else that might be with us when the time comes." Jakob didn't know how else to say it, usually so blunt, over this he felt a bit embarrassed and reluctant. He didn't think anyone would ever want to be with him like Lonny was, let alone have kids. He didn't think he'd be a good parent necessarily, but he liked the thought of seeing Lonny with children.
"We can look at places whenever you like, if that's what you want."

A really beautiful ring at that. Another thing Lonny hadn't known he would react so strongly to. Never had he thought he would get married, at least married to a good person like Jakob, but to have such a ring given to him? Feminine as it was, it was still so beautiful. It was from Jakob, special from Jakob, the sign that he wanted him and thought of him. It made him happy and he really couldn't wait for the jeweler to be finished resizing it for him. He wanted it back on his finger.
Honestly though, he knew this wasn't going to be a huge ordeal. He had friends yes, but he didn't have family. Perks of growing up in an orphanage and all, but he still would like to make it nice. He didn't know. True romance was not his thing. He never had it before, never thought he would have it but weddings were big steps in your life when you had it right? So he just wanted it to be nice. One of the best memories he could share with Jakob because honestly aside from getting on his own and into school? Jakob was the best thing that had ever happened to him. He smiled softly at Jakob, squeezing at him, fun and wonderful yes. That was all Lonny wanted for them.
He rested his head on his shoulder, hoping he wasn't making a mess of what he was trying to say though as Jakob asked about being willing to move he nodded against him, nodding all the more as he continued to speak. He knew his apartment wouldn't be the safest. Well it was good enough but when you were now suddenly married to a super hero? Not the safest. He knew he was only a new target in which to hurt Jakob with if it ever came to that. "If and when I need to. I like my place, but I know it is small, I know...I know it isn't exactly the safest place. I love you Jakob. If we can help it, I don't want to have to live utterly separated from you." Maybe he had better start practicing more...with his powers.
The blonde couldn't help but arch a brow however as he thought it over a moment. Jakob had said along with who ever was with them? "Do you want a pet or something?" He asked, a bit excited over that prospect. He hadn't ever been allowed a pet at the orphanage of course and then when he was on his own, was it silly that it never occurred to him? He guessed he was so used to one way of life that another way hadn't much been a thought in his head. At least until now. "After things are settled then. We have a lot to do already. But you know, you can stay at the apartment whenever you want." Like he didn't already know that...or he hoped he knew that. He just never knew if it was okay with his career work. Before he could really say more about it though the woman returned with a tray of tea, pausing at the door way when she saw how close the two were on the couch.
"Ah, sorry to interrupt." she offered, sounding apologetic indeed but with a sunny smile from Lonny she smiled in return and came over to place the tray of tea before them before she went to her desk to get the menus, photo books and things. From there it was questions, just what they had in mind, if they wanted horderves, or just a meal. It was definitely a lot to think about, and by the end of it Lonny got her card, though he already had her number saved so that they could talk a little more about it once he and Jakob decided exactly what they had in mind to do. It was progress at least right? And when Lonny started to look terribly overwhelmed she had even been kind enough to tell him it was a lot, but to take it a step at a time you know? She was sure they would be fine.
From there it was a few other stops, florists he wanted to look into. Around noon though, he remembered he promised Jakob lunch, his stomach rumbling on its own a good reminder to it. With joined hands he looked up at him, leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek. In public yes. He was...he was trying to be better about the public things. "Hungry?"

His ramblings weren't misunderstood by Jakob. If anything, with his lack of ability to communicate his feelings as well, he was the one to be misunderstood. Being with him for so long, practically living with him infrequently, Jakob felt he knew Lonny well. Besides, he found such ramblings attractive. His fiance was cute.
In the end he felt like he'd been the one to not communicate properly regardless, as Lonny asked so excitedly if he wanted a pet. Unsure of how to ask the other thing he had meant by his words, Jakob nodded. It wasn't entirely a false proposal. "I've never had one before either." Lonny knew that, which made it all the more reason for them to have one now that they both could. "Maybe a cat." Or you know, whatever Lonny might want, but Jakob liked cats because they weren't as loud but it was already made clear that he loved animals in general.
Regardless, he agreed they had a lot going on at the moment. With Jakob still on call almost twenty four seven, he supposed talking things of the sort was getting ahead of themselves. It made him utterly happy to hear Lonny simply offer for him to stay at his apartment as a more perminent residancy, even though he already knew that he was welcome. It brought a smile to his face, and before they were interrupted he kissed him on the forehead and squeezed him close to himself. His unspoken 'Yes, yes yes.'
Once the woman had returned however, he released his boyfriend from his hold, straightened himself and did his best not to embarrass his fiance as she walked in with their tea. While they spoke, looked through menus, he sipped at his tea. It was a bit interesting, seeing how all of this was going to be put together. They could quite literally pick whatever they wanted. It was great, and while Lonny might have felt a bit overwhelmed, Jakob was the one to feel at ease and genuinly excited. He became his steady anchor, pointing at things he liked, and speaking up about what he might want at their wedding when he could. Surprisingly it was far less intimidating than he'd thought, speaking to this woman and simply being there for Lonny.
When they left he felt utterly relieved that things had gone better then he thought they would. After their visits to a few other places, Jakob steadily warmed up to the clerks and planners, but he did begin to get hungry. He usually wasn't up so early. Holding his hand, stroking his thumb along his lovers in reassuring gesture every so often to hopefully ease his nerves as well. He was aware being in public with him like this was strange, but he hoped he wasn't as anxious now than when they had first headed out. "Yes." He replied, a small grin in his features after Lonny kissed him on the cheek. "Did you have a place you wanted to go to?" He wasn't sure what he was in the mood for. "There are so many options in town, it's hard to decide." At least for Jakob. He usually just ordered in when he was at the Initiative HQ.

Small steps Jakob darling. Lonny was still getting used to the idea that he had a rather healthy and wonderful relationship going on here that was progressing forward. A healthy relationship that was progressing forward that at times when he was left alone, felt as though he should still wait for the shoe to drop because did he deserve these things? No. He did not. It was still something that rattled the young man. Happy and in love or not. Love wasn't the cure all. Right now? Lonny was just happy to be getting married to someone too sweet and too kind to him. Too good to him. Children were just another thing he never thought he would ever get, though despite his dreams of travel having a family, feeling normal, had always been something of a star truck dream to him. Something in the sky you tipped your head up to look at on night fall but like the stars, it was out of reach.
Right now, this wedding, the idea of having Jakob around, maybe getting a pet with his fiance? It was about all Lonny could handle at the moment. They still had school to finish and their new life together to figure out. He smiled though, as the other offered up getting a cat, "I think I'd like that." He said wiggling slightly against the other man....and a sugar-glider. God he loved sugar gliders but those were so expensive. Maybe he could save up a few paychecks....add it to the list of things he was already trying to save for. The life of the poor and alone. Great times.
It was a large relief that Jakob seemed to keep more his calm then himself. He had noticed that, and it made him feel a bit better at least. Jakob, the one he had been worried about getting overwhelmed, was the one who seemed at peace and hell, he seemed like he had been enjoying himself too as they went over the possible menues and such like for the wedding, over all the kind advice she was willing to give too. He'd kiss him for it later, for blossoming where he seemed to falter, and those worries about Jakob possibly having second thoughts? All but gone, not to be thought of. He seemed happy, and it made Lonny happy to see him happy with their appointments. He really did adore this man. He adored him so much.
The soft feel of his thumb rubbing gently at his palm was comforting, and the gesture was very much appreciated as well as you know, it just made Lonny feel loved on top of it all. By then he had a soft smile on his face that simply couldn't be called off despite how he still felt just a bit overwhelmed. He needed to make better lists it seemed. He didn't want to ask for a wedding planner. Their wedding wasn't going to be that big right? And he already felt bad enough that Jakob was going to be paying for their wedding. Either way he smiled a sunny smile as Jakob grinned at receiving his kiss to his cheek, a small shrug following. "Mmmm, are you feeling like Thai maybe?"

Money was irrelevant to Jakob. He had a large savings thanks to not spending it on much but little things for Lonny every so often, and computer parts. He got paid enough that he was more than comfortable, he just didn't openly tell his fiance how much he really had. He liked simple living spaces, spoiling himself with tech and food over fancy housing and expensive furniture. He was just glad that Lonny was letting him pay for the wedding, and not putting up that much of a fuss over it. If he wanted it to be perfect, he wanted their special gathering with their friends to be everything he imagined it to be.
Jakob tilted his head, glanced down the street as he considered different Thai places he knew of already. "Pho sounds good..maybe duck." He hummed after speaking, then began to tug Lonny along so he could find them a place to catch a cab. "I know a good place." After raising his hand to summon a cab at the edge of the sidewalk, he opened the door first for Lonny to let him in then slid in after him. Giving the driver the location so he could set his gps Jakob sighed contently, realizing it had been a long while since he'd had this long of a break from work.
"It feels strange not being called in." Granted there were plenty of heroes to be summoned if something happened, a bank was robbed, there was a villain throwing tantrums in the city streets. "It's nice having time off." That being said he wondered how Lonny's work was doing, and his friends. Then, of course, it occurred to him that he still needed to introduce him to his best friend. Oh how terribly awkward it might be if he just invited him and didn't say anything.
He'd think of the right time to bring it up. "Have you thought about a specific date for the wedding? So you can invite your friends."

It might be irrelevant to Jakob but it was hardly the case for this little hard working art school student who didn't have much for himself but what he did have? All on his own and he was rather proud of that fact. But he knew he couldn't possibly do this on his own so he was making himself accept it because the money was going toward something beautiful for the both of them right? They get to get married, they get to have a beautiful wedding, they get to go somewhere nice for their honeymoon and then the greatest pay off was he got to tied to the sweetest person Lonny had ever met. Positive things, good things, wonderful fucking things. It just meant he owed Jakob absolutely everything, and he really hoped he could make Jakob happy. He really really hoped.
He smiled at his lover's hummed answer, fingers lacing between Jakob's despite the mild panic he still felt being so openly affectionate with him. Lonny had to keep swinging it in his head, that this would be okay, this would be okay and it was okay and he was happy holding Jakob's hand was he not? Blue eyes glanced down at the thought and his smile returned, the sight of Jakob's longer fingers intertwined with his own was definitely a pleasing thing, the feel of his palm warm against his, again a pleasing thing, the fact that his hand was utterly his alone to hold like this? Third check on the checks to be listed on pleasing things.
"Okay." He said, allowing Jakob to hail a cab for them once he had stopped, eyebrows raising when he got one pretty easily and leaned in to peck his cheek as he opened the door for him. He let go of his hand so he could slip inside and once Jakob followed suit Lonny scooted closer to him, patting at his thigh softly once they started going. "I can't say anything bad about it. It is always nice getting to have you to myself." And he didn't mean that to complain about Jakob's job either. He should know that one by now though, because as always even if it scared Lonny sometimes that Jakob could get hurt he really was terribly proud of his boyf--no fiance. "And I've been enjoying having you around for you know..." He bit at his lower lip, giving him a naughty little look as he hiked his hand up the inside of his thigh so slowly. "In the morning." He murmured so their poor cab driver wouldn't over hear.
Sliding his hand back down Jakob's thigh to behave he shrugged lightly, a bit stuck on that one. "I like spring and fall weather the most, so I was thinking one of those? Do you like one over the other more?"

One of the plus sides to dating a semi famous person, and he may or may not have 'guided' the car to them by force but he was going to pay the driver after all. He disliked the feeling of his hand away from his own, but didn't verbalize it as they got into the car. After he sat comfortably beside Lonny, the kiss to his cheek did make him feel a bit better indeed.
He tilted his head to his fiance, happy to hear that having him made Lonny just as happy because he felt the exact same about it. Of course, hearing his latter words and watching as his hand moved up his thigh it got a small smile out of him, Jakob loved their mornings together no doubt whatsoever. He rested a hand on Lonny's when he moved it back down, lacing his fingers with it gently afterwards.
He leaned in to kiss his cheek, nuzzling his blonde locks at his temple before he spoke. "Maybe fall." He murmured, straightening himself so slightly. "There's someone I want you to meet." He supposed now was good a time as any to mention his best friend. "He attends the university." So he might have met him already.
