[attr="class","subcat"]species Alien [attr="class","subcat"]age 2100 years, give or take. It's kinda hard to track time after he's been submerged under a mountain for five hundred. [attr="class","subcat"]date of birth Roughly the Xi Han dynasty [attr="class","subcat"]place of birth Somewhere in southern China...yeah I have no clue my man. [attr="class","subcat"]sex Male [attr="class","subcat"]gender Male [PTab=III.] [attr="class","appcat"]dossier [attr="class","apptext"] [/PTab={tab-background-color:#582f47;height: 420px; background-color: #1c1d1e; padding:5px;text-align: justify;][attr="class","subcat1"]psychological evaluation Sun Wukong's ego should be a superpower. If he sees an omniscient being, his first instinct is to hit it with his stick first and weather the consequences later. This is largely fueled by the fact that he has a superiority complex the size of the moon. [break][break] He's petty, but for the most part Monkey has little interest in the ordinary lives of humans. Monkey would rather be picking fights with those ten times his size. It doesn't matter if his enemy is a guardian or a bully: Monkey only finds satisfaction in proving himself to the high and mighty. Otherwise he's a plenty charismatic leader. By which I mean, he's that guy who's really good at persuading other people to do stupid shit with him, and possibly die. [break][break] Anyway, he wants a kingdom with followers. A big and impressive one, and he isn't picky about what he has to do to get it. Which naturally means that he's running a criminal empire. Monkey is a selfish one, and he doesn't care to be at the Initiative's beck and call in order to attain power. He'd rather pry it out of their fingers. In short, he's an airheaded trickster whose wisdom only extends to how he should attain power, not whether or not he should have it. [break][break] There's a smaller part of him that won't admit that he's dying of loneliness despite the henchmen and worldly goods. He knows what he has to do to make the emptiness go away, and Kingsport is unlikely to like it. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details The stone monkey had been born from a meteorite that had crash landed on earth. He could have been anything, but he was found by a community of Macaque monkeys. So the form stuck, and later scholars would theorize that he had been sent as a member of a colonizer race. [break][break] He jousted with the other alien "gods" and "demon lords" for awhile. Monkey attempted many schemes in order to "fix" his status in alien society, including threatening a lord of death. Then he went ahead and pissed off a guy named Laozi during his pursuit for immortality. The Heavenly Host was a Buddhist pantheon at the time (aliens who thought that the real life Buddha was swell). The Heavenly Host started a war over this shit. Spoilers: he lost. [break][break] It eventually lead to him playing bodyguard for some human monk for years. Monkey isn't convinced that the humiliation was worth it, but he got to be a card-carrying Buddha at the end, which dramatically increased his already-ridiculously high levels of spiritual power. Worth? [break][break] NOPE. Monkey was tired of being constantly reigned in by mages and aliens alike. He was determined to become more powerful than ever before. He settled into a meditative state in a secret mountain lair for several centuries. He woke up sometime in the sixteenth century, only to realize that his powers no longer served a purpose except to amaze humans. Frankly, impressing humans got boring in his first century of life. [break][break] What really bummed Monkey out was that a lot of the old crowd was gone. Off to another planet, or into a separate dimension. He decided to be a loyal ho and stay on earth. He ruled as the King of the Monkeys for a time. He lived with a great number of regrets, up until he learned of the existence of the Emerald Band, which was sold to the British royal vaults. Monkey sent out his most loyal vassals to steal it. Thus began a great chase that lasted 300 years. The best you can do is seal him away via a monk of sufficient power. Preferably a Buddha. [attr="class","subcat"]supernatural condition He can make a 108,000 mile leap. His melee weapon is almost twenty thousand pounds. His martial arts skills are enough to defeat thousands of trained soldiers. Normal weapons shatter in his hands. Religious metaphors or not, this guy is fucking ridiculous. [attr="class","subcat"]ruyi jingu bang It's a glorified 20k pound staff basically. Monkey can shrink it to the size of a needle for easy transport. [attr="class","subcat"]72 Transformations He can transform into 72 different animals. I don't want to list 72 so let's just keep the exact list vague. [attr="class","subcat"]golden fire eyes (火眼金睛) He can detect liars at the cost of getting smoke in his eyes. Monkey cannot discern the identity of those who choose to put on a disguise, but he can tell that they're wearing one. [attr="class","subcat"]clones He can produce a clone with any piece of hair from his body. He can produce multiple if he breaks them into pieces first. [attr="class","subcat"]monkey kingdom He runs a criminal underground with monkey servants who wear human disguises. They don't have any powers otherwise. |
