[attr="class","subcat"]biographical details There was once a time where they called him Hero, and more so than that, the Greatest Warrior to have ever lived. The latter of which may still hold true, but the former is no more. Renown for his bravery and courage, Achilles has taken it to new bounds with his endeavour to overthrow the ones who have empowered him. Once a warmonger who only craved to be carved out in history and to leave a legacy behind of his greatness, now Achilles fights for more than himself, he fights for humankind itself. Though killed in Troy by the famed arrow of a lesser man known as Paris, the Gods felt duty bound to give him another chance at life. Little did they know, he had already prepared for his own salvation, as before the event he had visited the Moirai in order to find out his fate and where it ended. Not being a favorable outcome, he cut off a portion of his thread, stealing it from the spinner, Klothos. [break][break] So while he died he wasn’t rendered a true death. Instead his slimmy soul floated in the River of Styx until the time Hades found himself absent from the Underworld, before bribing Persephone into secrecy as once she was wishing to escape was well. As his soul traveled back to the world of the living, his body obtained a completely new look, as he salvaged his corpse for all the tools of his past. From this point it would be he who would be tricking the Gods, toying with them the way they toyed with man. Traveling North East, Achilles consulted the trickster God Loki of the Norse to find out how to best the Gods in exchange for getting rid of his bothersome brother and father when the time came. [break][break] And so he set forth to complete the task of besting the Gods. Consulting with Ares, the former Hero used the lust for battle in order to obtain more gifts from the Gods, as their was always a perk to fighting their war games of fun. From Ares he was gifted Rage, from Heka he was gifted magic, from the Graeae he had stolen their eye, from Yohualticetl the ability to flourish in the night, and finally Fenrir he was gifted the ability to destroy a God. With these tools, man enter the place that Gods now stood. Man would destroy the Gods, marking them out of history and replacing them universally by the twelve new chosen. New Olympia, governed by the God Squad with himself at the helm. Thus while he is capable of being delivered fatal blows, he can never actually be rendered a true death, as he simply has to claw himself from the River of Styx before being given another suitable host body. Thus whenever he comes back to life the body is never the same, as the hair color, age, height, etc, can be varied. The only requirement is the vessel being able to handle all of his gifts without fail. [attr="class","subcat"]Armor of Achilles Crafted by Hephaestus at the request of his mother Thetis during the Trojan War, the Armor of Achilles is a finely crafted suit of armor fitted for a God. Complete with a helmet, breastplate, fustanella, shin guards, and boots boots, The golden armor is so bright it makes it hard to look at Achilles directly while he is dawning it. But the real ability of the armor is its invulnerability. While Achilles is within it, he cannot be harmed physically (save for the gaps in the armor), mentally, or emotionally, while being completely magic resistent. Aesthetically, since it’s creation a large silver wolf has been added to the center of the breastplate. The armor can be summoned on and off at will. [attr="class","subcat"]Spear of Achilles A rather large spear that has a multitude of uses. The first is that it can be thrown like a normal spear, and due to it’s magical nature it ALWAYS finds its target regardless of distance. The spearhead is so sharp that it is capable of piercing through any object or being, even reality itself to hit being that are ethereal (in an invulnerable state), in another dimension, or time stream itself. The second ability is that it can extend and retract immeasurable distances, being as short or long as it needs to be in order to be wielded with proficiency. The speed of its extension is about half the speed of light. And finally, when thrown or disarmed, it always returns back to it’s owner, Achilles. The spear can be summoned at will. [attr="class","subcat"]Shield of Achilles Another item crafted by Hephaestus, the Shield of Achilles while ornate and beautiful, has but one purpose, to reflect back attacks upon those who wish ill-harm upon Achilles. However it has to be directed in the direction of the attack and the attack has to hit the shield in order for it to be reflected. From blunt force, to magic, to mental abilities, whatever was attempted to be inflicted upon Achilles will find its home in the opponent who threw it at him instead as it doesn’t target location, but the person in general. The shield can be summoned at will. [attr="class","subcat"]Rage Embodiment Gifted by Ares in order to keep wars from being lopsided and always giving Achilles a fighting chance to finish the deeds of the Gods. Rage Embodiment allows Achilles to scale to the physical abilities of the opponent that he is facing, unleashing his own rage as a catalyst for it. When in this state, he is completely bloodlusted towards his enemies, desiring nothing but to rip them in two pieces, as well as anyone who tries to stand before him to advert his will. His rage cannot end until the targeted being for it is no more. Because of this, no matter where they go he is capable of tracking them down regardless of distance. [attr="class","subcat"]Human Empowerment Gifted magic from the Egyptian Goddess Heka during the age of the Pharaohs, while capable of many feats with it, he’s actually untrained so there is little he can actually do with it. But with his will alone (and using his Lycan nature as a catalyst), Achilles is capable of imbuing other human beings with gifts. Or better yet, unlocking their true potential. This in turn takes a normal human being to the level of metahuman, giving them powers and ability sets, and taking a metahuman’s abilities to the next level. Requires IC permission from the parties involved. [attr="class","subcat"]Werewolf Physiology Gifted from Fenrir, the son of Loki, Werewolf Physiology encompasses a wide array of abilities that begin with Superhuman strength. Achilles is capable of lifting upward to fifty tons with little effort. Though incapable of transforming into a wolf-like creature, what Fenrir gave him was a way to kill Gods and people of immortal stature. His bite while simply painful to humans before they transition into Werewolves themselves, is devastating to God's (former Gods), immortals, metahumans, and aliens. The poison that oozes from his fangs causes them to be depowered, while causing excruciating pain, before rendering them completely mortal, thus reducing them to a normal human condition. The venom last for several hours at the minimum. The poison can also be coated on weapons and items and still retain its level of devastating effect. Furthermore werewolves have a unique ability known as "The Howl", which is capable of summoning them, regardless of distance, to the pack instantly. Being the sire to werewolves, they have an irresistible bond with and for Achilles. Requires IC permission to be turned into a Werewolf. [attr="class","subcat"]Melee Specialist Be it hand to hand or any melee weapon, Achilles has thousands of years worth of experience in war and physical confrontation. He is no slouch, as with any item he is an extremely proficient killer. Capable of yielding the best result with the minimal amount of effort and motion. Howl does not play with his food, he simply devours it. Even deadly with unconventional weapons such as coffee mugs, paperclips, pencils, etc, if it's capable of being wielded in a deadly manner, its best to watch out while it's in his hands as he has a knack for finding vital points and exploiting them with the utmost of ease. Relentless in nature, he also boast limitless stamina, as he is incapable of tiring until the job of destroying his target is complete. |
