An eye for an eye as they say. In his book, if someone takes from you then you're allowed to take from them to even the score. Miles has little to no tolerance for killers, despite being one himself. He sees himself doing what heroes are unable to do, and that's bringing justice to these criminals, these murderers, the right way. They took a life, so he takes theirs. [break][break] Revenge blinds his judgement at times. He aims to break his family's killer out just so he can finish the job himself. But Miles know he has to wait until the time is right. He's anything but reckless and takes his time planning out his missions and jobs. Even though he can manipulate the success rate of any mission, Miles still doesn't want any slip ups and things to go as smoothly as possible. [break][break] Out side of his vigilante life though, Miles is a very laid back and fun loving person. He spends his times in bars, casinos, even theaters and arcades. Anything to pass the time really. When he spends his time in casinos, Miles manipulates his chances when he gambles. Basically, he cheats, and has absolutely no shame in doing so. But he takes his time, making sure to only win the big jackpot every now and then to avoid raising any suspicion. [break][break] Miles isn't stingy with his money though and is rather generous. He knows first hand how it can be living with financial difficulties. It isn't uncommon for him to pay for someone's groceries or even a lunch. Granted, he's not gonna just hand out money to anyone who asks for it, but would give it to someone who desperately needed it. [break][break] Even though Miles could easily become arrogant off his powers, he's kept a leveled head. He doesn't just survive off his power alone, he's got wits and knows how to use them. Avoiding being captured is pretty easy to him, regardless of powers or not. He keeps his two lives separate very well, knowing how to use his powers to erase any evidence pointing towards him. Even though Miles can appear arrogant at times, he thinks things through pretty well. In short, Miles can control luck, or what most would call probability. He can control both the likely and unlikely chances, either making himself, or someone, very lucky. On the flip side, he can make someone extremely unlucky. A 10% chance to hit bulls-eye on a dartboard? He'll hit it without blinking. 1% chance of winning the lottery? The next ticket he picks up will be the million dollar winner. 0.1% of dodging a bullet? He'll somehow manage it. As long as there's even the slightest chance of something going right for Miles, it will likely happen. His probability manipulation even effects fights he's in, making things tip in his favor or making the scale tip against his opponents. [attr="class","subcat"]Luck/Bad Luck Bestowal The playing cards he uses can be infused and given to someone as a good/bad luck charm. Once infused, the card latches onto a person's arm and sticks to them. It can't be removed by any means unless someone counteracts the luck effect or is immune to probability changes. The effect of the card is only good for 24 hours, so if he gives you a good luck card, you better use it wisely. While it won't be as strong as his good luck, it will make you pretty damn lucky. Likewise with bad luck. You're probably not gonna die by accidentally running into a oncoming train you didn't hear coming, but falling off a flight of stairs is a possibility. He doesn't necessarily need cards to do this, it just makes the effect stronger. Miles can bestow someone by touch, but the effect is weakened compared to when it's infused on a card. [attr="class","subcat"]Card Manipulation Playing cards, business cards, tarot cards, even trading cards, Miles is able to manipulate them and use them to his advantage. He never leaves the house without a deck of cards since they are his main weapon. He's able to pass off this ability as card magic or really, really quick slight of hand to the naked eye. [attr="class","subcat"]Card Enhancements Whether it's increasing the speed, density, hardness and sharpness of the card, Miles is capable of doing it. He can even make a card explode in someone's face if he really wanted to. It's not a huge explosion, but enough to knock someone out and cause some serious damage. The cards can also be infused with raw luck energy, making them a formidable weapon and shouldn't be underestimated. They are capable of withstanding fire and other elements as well. [attr="class","subcat"]Summoning Miles is capable of summoning anything from a card. Got a trading card with a dragon in it? Give it to Miles and he'll make it real. Most of the time, he carries around a deck of random trading cards from various games and uses them as his weapons. The summons spawned from the cards are completely under his control and do his bidding. The summon lasts as long as Miles wants it to and they are destroyed if the card is destroyed or they've taken too many hits. Once summoned and destroyed for one reason or another, the card can't be reused. Miles would have to find another copy of the same card or something completely different. [attr="class","subcat"]Imprisonment Using a card as a prison is something Miles loves to do, especially to the people who deserve it. He is capable of sealing someone within a card, a pocket dimension within the card so to speak. The dimension inside takes form of whatever is on the card, so if it's blank then the prisoner just wanders around aimlessly through a plane of nothingness. If there's words on it, there's gonna be giant letters floating in the sky. If there's a monster on the card... well, have fun with that one. Imprisoning someone in a card actually requires a lot of focus from Miles and isn't easy to do. If a card that was holding someone was ripped up, Miles doesn't know what would happen to them. It's never happened before, so he has no clue. He can only assume that they're lost in some dimension he stuck them in and a super, otherworldly being would have to pull them out. That being said, he is capable of pulling someone out of the dimension himself with a simple snap of a finger. |
