Ace is a civilian who owns a cafe/vintage music shop in Gloucester. He inherited the shop from his mother when she died. He's currently the owner and lives above the shop with his longtime girlfriend, Lettie Spencer.
He's an obvious dork who's just trying to run his cafe without getting too deep intro any superhero business. Also did I mention there's a eldritch abomination in a television that's trying to possess him? Because that's happening. The eldritch abomination killed his father before he was born and used his mother as a host until it broke her mind. Since his mother died, the eldritch abomination is now back in the tv and waiting to possess Ace until he's stronger. Although he doesn't know that. All Ace knows is that the eldritch abomination is lying dormant in the tv, waiting for something to happen. Eventually, there's gonna be a full plot outline of this, but for now the eldritch abomination is just chilling out in the tv until further notice.
While Ace doesn't want to get involved too much with the Initiative that doesn't mean he turns away superheros or vigilantes alike away from his business. As long as you don't go throwing a super powered tantrum or bringing super villains into the shop, Ace will welcome you like any other customer. He would definitely know a lot of the regular customers, probably becoming good friends with a few of them. Talking about his friend's missions and adventures from working in the Initative over a cup of tea is one of his favorite things. He's quite social and friendly as long as you seem like a good person.
One thing that Ace won't tolerate though is someone threatening him, his family and friends or his cafe. He definitely wouldn't hesitate to toss someone out if they were threatening enough. While he doesn't actively use his powers a lot, Ace learned enough from his mother on how to use them properly. Eventually, I want to progress his powers a bit and evolve them in a way. I don't want him in a super dangerous situation where there's like a 50% chance he'll die, because knowing him and his clumsiness, he actually will die. But being caught in a situation where he's forced to use his powers would be interesting.
He has a longtime girlfriend, but Ace would make a great wing man. Just look at him. This dork is also really good at piano, like prodigy level good. He definitely wouldn't be against pulling some strings and setting up some romantic date for his friends at the cafe either. Some soothing background piano music, candles, all of that. He's less of an oblivious dork than he was when he was in high school, so going to him for relationship advice isn't a bad idea.
When it comes down to it though, Ace is a really kind hearted person who tries his best to do anything for his friends. Even if that means stepping out of his comfort zone once in a while. If you want a really dorky, loyal friend, then Ace is your guy.

Part time student, part time hero, full time protector of his roommate, sometimes Brook feels like he doesn't have much time to himself. Although, that's probably a good thing, because if he did have too much time to himself he'd probably get lost in his own thoughts.
Growing up wasn't terrible, at least in his eyes. They were on the lower end of the middle class scale, his mother sometimes struggled to make ends meet. His father left not too long before he was born, leaving his mother alone to raise a child. She's a full human, so Brook can only assume that he got his powers from his father. Brook thought that joining the Initiative at a young age would help with the bills, but his mother refused. She was pretty strict and potentially had control issues. She let everything pile on herself, until she just got to her breaking point.
She was the first to make a deal with a demon in an attempt to gain powers and join the Initiative herself, but since she was just a simple human she couldn't handle the presence of a demon in her mind, and went berserk. Brook thought the only option and to calm her down was to make a deal with a different demon. He had a stronger mental mind and was able to handle demonic powers. Even though Brook managed to dispel the demon within her, her mind was broken and she was left in a near coma like state. She currently lives within a nursing home since Brook is unable to take care of her himself.
He joined the Initiative for the perks and the money mostly. If it wasn't for the fact that he was supporting himself and the nursing home bills, Brook probably would have never thought to join. But he does whatever he can to meet the requirements to get that paycheck. Brook wants to get a promotion some day, but balancing the superhero life on top of being a university student makes it feel nearly impossible for him. He can sometimes take on the burden of the entire world on his shoulders and feel like what he does can never be enough. His best friend and roommate has helped with that though. The two are nearly polar opposites in personalities but work surprisingly well together.
Brook is currently attending Miskatonic University for Photography and Digital Media, so he would probably know some people from the school or the surrounding area. Being in the Initiative, people would probably know him either by face or by his alias, Onikori. Going on missions with fellow heroes or vigilante would be pretty fun and interesting. As long as a vigilante's heart is in the right place and isn't leaning towards the villain like side, Brook probably wouldn't try and capture them. He's pretty laid back with vigilantes as long as they aren't teaming up with the wrong people.
In all honesty, Brook needs friends who make him sit down and relax. Every time Brook thinks he can sit down and just take a nap something seems to pop up. He can be easily irritated and he's definitely quick to judge too. Judging a book by its cover is something you can't do with him. Behind the blunt personality and stoic face is a guy who really just worries about his friends, his life and himself a lot.

Miles can be complicated. On the surface he can be a playboy, laid back person who is sometimes sort of nice. He manipulates probability and uses it to cheat his way to riches in the casino. Living off his wealth, he currently resides in Fairmount, Kingsport, and is living a life of luxury while also juggling his vigilante life. Some may think he's relying purely on his luck alone, but that's definitely not the case. Miles plans his missions and even wins at the casino well to avoid suspicion and being caught 'cheating'. He keeps his playboy life and vigilante life separate, cleaning up well after his act and leaving no traces behind. Of course he uses his luck too to evade capture.
He's got a lot of guilt piled up though. When he was young and before his powers manifested, his family was robbed and murdered by a petty thief. At the time, Miles just ran for it to try and save his own skin. Even though it wasn't really his fault, he wishes that he could have done something at the time. But with no powers at the time, Miles knows he couldn't have done much. But something, anything, to try and save one of his loved ones. He doesn't like watching old Disney movies, build pillow forts, make snowmen, etc, because it just makes him sad. But he definitely needs to try and get over the fact that nothing was his fault and there was nothing he could do.
As a vigilante, Miles works by the an eye for an eye method. If someone takes a life, he takes theirs. Simple. He stays away from the Initiative's operatives pretty well and has evaded capture every single time. Technically speaking, nothing can ever go wrong for Miles. Unless there was somehow a 0% of things going right for him. Good luck with that though. He's pretty agile and sneaky and doesn't plan on getting caught any time soon. This means he'd probably have a lot of enemies though, either other vigilantes or some heroes trying to catch him. He doesn't want to work with any heroes or vigilantes, but if he absolutely needed to and had no other choice, then yeah, Miles would help out.
Underneath the tough exterior though is a man who's just trying to honor his family in his own way. Miles can care deeply for someone, but he more or less chooses not to. He's driven to be a vigilante because the man who killed his family was just thrown in jail. Miles thought he needed to be punished more, even killed, but he wasn't. So now he finishes the job that most heroes can't, bringing what he considers real justice to these criminals.
