The screaming stops when Physis replaces all the water in the man's body with ice.
Physis responds hoarsely, more to rationalize her actions to herself than to Valkyrie. It's not pretty. It's never pretty when she remembers that she's a body and a person instead of an unquellable force of nature.
"I allowed them to live for seven years. I was wrong."
Suddenly all the anger and the vitriol lapses in at once. A gift of seven years after they had robbed her of ten, and so many more to follow.

She freezes the other man. By the time that someone soaks him in a sauna, it will be too late to reverse the brain damage.
They knew her name. Handmaiden. Physis feels sick to her stomach. How much more do they know? Why did they lure her here?

"I need to go to Dunwich. A man is in danger."
Thalia has the keys. And enough psychic power, should things go awry.
