Hope Grace (usually called by his first name, Hope) is a student who is the representative of Kingsport College. Hope is generally good-natured, despite apparent indifference - at a glance, he cannot restrain himself from trying to help civilians, vigilantes, fellow superhero (and even villains) in need, even if it means putting himself in jeopardy. It is known in this line, and among superheroes, that he would never discriminate when he's decided on helping. He is always fair in his decision to support.[break][break]

Despite his unprecedented, nigh on absolute powers; and, how he might be one of the most powerful entities in existence, if not the most powerful. He he has a high level of humility, while wielding outstanding godlike might. Once you get to know him better, you'd come to understand that he genuinely means well, especially to others around him - mostly his Initiative colleague, even if he can't exactly come to love himself; self-loathing that resulted from parting with his mother at a young age. More than that, he is the son of the Initiative's Chairman - the highest responsible power of the organization; besides the CEO, who is also a member of the Initiative's Board of Directors along with his current wife, and previously, his late wife. Hope's biological mother, and naturally his emotional support, because of great responsibilities and very high expectations placed on him. Part of the reason his father abuse him is because it scares him how his seemingly unworldly grace, allows him to simply take it all in stride without faulting him. [break][break]

His father takes Hope's lack of ill-will to its logical conclusion, he argued that not rejecting any aspect of the rest of the world means that he has no standards—as Hope himself points out, he doesn't have any condiments he actively dislikes. He's so "pure" because he represses his emotions, where they build under the surface, but that may change in the foreseeable future.

Initially Hope was without any companion he can refer to as a "friend", he was isolated since childhood, all due to the difference in status - however, once upon a time, that notion was dispelled by Aiden Kaiser. The son of the Initiative CEO, fellow alma mater of his father's, and acquaintance of his late mother. He indeed lacked interactions with fellow children his age that he should have, but he did not grew up to be disbelieving of friendship, rather he believed in the good of people, and that friendship will eventually come his way, even with such a late start, it matters little to him. He's a kind-hearted and tolerant person, even to complete strangers. Which is why his popularity sky-rocketed among heroes and civilians that have connections to the Initiative - he's not well acquainted with many outside of the Initiative circle because he's supposedly a secret asset of the organization, however there is of course many possibilities and chances of meeting him, and getting to know him, because he attends Kingsport College. Where notable friends are concerned, he is well acquainted with the missing hero: Jack Vinland, or Pyroclasm. And, the prosecutor Hiro Adachi, both of whom he met over two years ago. When Hope just joined the Initiative. The relationship between the three is somewhat strained, because of the vacancy left by Jack. Albeit, with recent development, Hope and Hiro have managed to get a hold of him, and is slowly restoring their once close relation with each other. In fact, they were so close, at one point, Jack nicknamed him: "Kid", to tease him, showing how fond and how he looked after Hope much like that of an older brother to his little brother. He also hope to resume the friendship between him and Aiden, as they were separated for sometime, and Hope heard no news from him in the more recent past.[break][break]
Hope possess qualities that endears and draws people to him, which make him ironically true to his given name. He's one of the kindest, most idealistic (deep down) hero in the world, and civilian and his colleague alike gets shocked when he keeps contributing to the safety of the planet and saving people for no reward. He just wants to protect everybody. And, he doesn't want anyone to suffer like he once did, his inability to protect cost him the life of his mother, which to this day he deeply regrets. He doesn't want to see anybody else be in that position. That is why he took upon the mantle of a superhero in the first place, even if he failed with himself, he will not with everybody else. While he is not the most approachable person, he is pleasant to be around and to converse with. [break][break]
Furthermore, he absolutely refuses to ignore or abandon anyone in trouble. He also used to have a problem with asking others for help. Matter of fact, he will do anything, say anything, help anyone, and throw himself in front of any person who is in need simply because he wants to, beyond the reason of not wanting to see them suffer, in all of honesty, he doesn't need to have a reason in wanting to save or help anybody. When all seems lost, he inspires almost everyone that everything will be all right. Part of it is from privy knowledge of what he can do, the other is from how compassionate and reassuring he is.

He has a gift for getting people to want to follow him, which he doesn't notice whatsoever. Also, being detached doesn't stop him from feeling for friends and foes alike. He shed tears for the loss of civilian lives.

Where enemy is concerned, he has none - because it hasn't been long since he'd begun his carer in this line. However, super-villains does get on his bad list, as he once clarified that he doesn't understand why most of them are irredeemable fiends who grab power at the expense of others, constantly asking them, when he get the chance, why they don't use their abilities to make the world a happier place.

He may not know why super-villains attempt to do evil things, doesn't mean he's unaware that they do. [break][break]

But as of now, he is yet to be met with any enemy.

Hope shrinks from any and all potential romantic relationships, because it's just too painful and frightening for him (mostly because of his tragic past). There were many of whom, in his past, make it very clear that they had crushes on him, but he seems to only regard them as a nuisance, choosing to ignore them. And, in numerous occasions, even shows scepticism and signs of being unnerved by people's interests on him. He would vehemently denies having a girlfriend or liking anyone, and that he's focused with his line of work to do anything like that. However, the possibility of breaking down the impassable wall to his heart is not difficult.

Again, considering his past it's not hard to find out why he is chaste. He spends an inordinate amount of his free time thinking about his late mother figure, and regretting losing her; hating himself for it. Hope is known for ignoring his classmates affections to the extent that he feels absolutely no attraction for any of them, female college students of Kingsport College - let alone any females, for that matter. Though, that doesn't mean he will hide or shy away from them, he can talk to them without beating the bush, even romantically. While he may appear untouchable, and most of the time, unapproachable, Hope is actually remarkably kind, even towards strangers, because of his modesty, well-brought up manners and behaviour, coupled with his attractive appearance he is exceedingly very popular.

He's somewhat aware of what romance is, but at the moment his attention is fully focused more on saving those around him, and especially those in front of him. Interestingly, the one who need saving most might be himself of all people. Although, when he was younger, he is completely oblivious to the appeal of women and to romance in general. Flirtation were dismissed, often without a shred of embarrassment, because he honestly doesn't understand, and sexual advances are shrugged off.

A couple of his peers in the Initiative, and college notably, are incredibly irritated that girls gravitate towards Hope. The fact that Hope completely misses all the signs of their interest aggravates a large number of them even more.
