About
The Dread Knight is the alias of the former hero Aramaeus, who in the past led a very close-knit team of heroes to great effect and adoration from the public, until they were killed by his nemesis Orrivard and Aramaeus' powers were stripped from him. The Initiative pardoned Orrivard of his crimes in exchange for his knowledge and aid, which enraged Aramaeus. He took the bodies of his team and disappeared. Since then he has traversed both this world and others, getting a view of how things work on the ground level, and realising how chaotic and flawed the world and its current state truly are. Now, several years later, he has returned as The Dread Knight, a terrifying figure clad in magitech armour and with a terrible hunger for vengeance, and to right the wrongs of the past.
He has aspirations to carve out a portion of land for himself, to transform into a kingdom that he will rule, though he is no despot. He firmly believes in honourable conduct and knightly values, and will not harm the innocent unless absolutely necessary. He also does not kill unless the situation calls for it, though he will not hesitate to do so should he believe it is required.
Allies
Having just recently returned from his self-imposed exile, Aramaeus has no real friends at the moment. There is the possibility that there are heroes that knew him in his former identity that would be sympathetic to his cause, but that is about the extent of it. He is focusing on accruing a powerbase at the moment, which means allies and contacts, villainous and otherwise. He's also looking to find some true allies to form his personal retinue of lieutenants, with the secret hope that they will prove to be his new family. He does tend to venture out in his civilian identity from time to time, so encountering him in a more mundane capacity is certainly possible.
Enemies
Any Initiative hero that he suspects to have been involved in the incident that claimed the lives of his team, most truly evil villains, and anyone that gets in the way between him and his vengeance. He is also staunchly opposed to those who bring only chaos and suffering into the world, or those who commit villainous acts for selfish and shallow reasons.
Other
Aramaeus can create magitech devices, and generators to power them. This extends to armour, weaponry with a focus on melee implements, and various other devices. Chances are, if you want him to make something, he'll be able to. Only his closest friends and allies get the top-quality equipment, however, and he is wise enough to put failsafes into place should his magitech be turned against him. He is also an experienced mentor figure, and may be willing to instruct worthy pupils in myriad subjects, ranging from swordplay, to magical knowledge, to dancing and etiquette lessons.
The Vacerion Dominion
The Dread Knight has gathered to him a number of individuals to work with him in achieving his goal of creating a more orderly world. Currently, they are in the process of conquering a large island state in the Gulf of Mexico, which will become their base of operations and the seat of his power. He is recruiting both combat and non-combative personnel to this nascent kingdom, so if you're interested in playing with that, let me know. The plot page for the Dominion is found here

'Ello Friend!
So far, as I'm going through plotters trying to figure out who Gore might associate with (or fight whatever), Dread Knight is standing out as a potential ally. They have fairly similar grievances with The Initiative, and although Gore is probably a little less outright honorable than Aramaeus is he's not so unreasonable that he would flagrantly defy Aramaeus desire to spare innocents. In fact, Dread Knight might actually be a good influence on Gore, helping him keep his murderous urges in check. Even if Aramaeus would be reluctant to rely on Gore as an actual Ally, they'll probably cross paths considering their shared enemy.

Hey there, gore! After reading through Gore's bio, I am very much impressed. Great power concept, right up my alley of monstery horrible goodness, plus he seems like a cool character in and of himself. Nicely done! I think that we could have some interesting interactions and an enjoyable dynamic between Aramaeus and Gore for sure. Aramaeus would likely have investigated Gore quite thoroughly if he popped up on his radar. He actually sounds like someone he'd put down as a potential ally, if he could curtail the murderous urges and violence. I'd definitely be game for trying to have Dread Knight be a positive influence on him. He may even be able to help him with his condition, if you want, at some stage, as he's quite knowledgeable about magic and, obviously, can build magitech devices. But that's for later down the line. Did you have any ideas for initial threading?

Thanks for the praise! I'm always kind of reluctant to trust the quality of my own writing. ^_^'
I'm definitely taking Aramaeus' skill with magitech in mind when I consider possible avenues for Gore's growth down the line; he's still got the weird alien D&D Dice, so it'll give both of them something to study if it ever comes down to it.
As far as threading goes, I can think of a few possibilities. Since Dread Knight has been off the map for a while, Gore wasn't an Initiative employee when Aramaeus went dark. If Dread Knight were to mention his hero persona's name Garrison might recognize it from when he was a civvie, but otherwise Dread Knight is an unknown. As such, it seems more likely that Dread Knight would approach Gore rather than the other way around. Gore's move into Villaindom was pretty public, as was his status as an Initiative Agent, so maybe that would catch Dread Knight's attention enough for him to seek Gore out and 'evaluate' him.
Alternatively, perhaps in his haste Gore accidentally foils one of Dread Knights plans to assault the Initiative. Gore had to leave in a hurry, so he might decide to raid an Initiative site in an attempt to make off with his old research notes for the alien object, and maybe Dread Knight was considering the same thing as an attempt to get information on Initiative agents involved in "The Deal". Although, that seems like a risky move Dread Knight might not take without some backup.
Or, even better, maybe Dread Knight encounters Gore in the middle of a violent episode and acts on his honor to stop him. It'd be interesting if Dread Knight is the first person to actual realize that Gore isn't just mindlessly violent and actually has these impulses uncontrollably.
So there's a few ideas, just to get the juices flowing. :V

Of course! Credit given where credit is due, and all that.
The third option seems to appeal to you the most, friend, so we'll go with that! It'll be good because Aramaeus would be stepping in to 'stop' Gore when he knows he doesn't really have that much of a chance. It'll make for some sweet, sweet character moments. I can dig it. How do you want this to go down? And where?

Alright then, option 3 Interrupted Rampage is go!
Since its probably unlikely that Gore would stay in Kingsport proper, he probably migrated into Arkham after he escaped the Initiative since it'd be easier to blend in among the nefarious elements there. I figure Gore was trying to do something mundane that had him out among the general populace, and some normally harmless interaction gets him all riled up and ready to give Arkham a bit of a paint job.
If that sounds good, I can go ahead and get the thread started. Or if you have some input...? :3
