[attr="class","rth2"]SUMMARY [attr="class","rcon1"]born and raised as someone with a very weak immune system, adam has never really had much chance to "live life to the fullest". so, in his desperation to have a body capable of letting him do everything he desires, adam basically made a deal with some self-proclaimed miracle worker in order to give himself an able body. luckily, his wish came true and adam, surprisingly, became immortal. it was a little more than what he had asked for, but he was happy to know he would finally be able to do the things he wanted!

that is until it turned out his miracle had a down side. you see, adam has really bad luck... i mean fatally bad luck. i mean, shocked by lightning at least once a month, run over by a car at least every other week, smashed by massive stage props every other day, or sometimes he ends up as this week's damsel in distress of some random super villain antics, or, well, you get the point.

fortunately this awful luck hasn't infected his personality too much it would seem. he's a very bubbly and friendly person, often times being quite kind to strangers of even cold and rough dispositions. an optimist at heart, he has big dreams of being on broadway one day and said dreams don't seem to be too dampened by the fact he seems to only get involved with behind the stage work instead. being quite the excellent actor that he is, adam has a lot of talent, but his bad luck seems to win out on him most of the time. ever determined to succeed, he keeps up his hard work regardless and this same level of dedication is often offered to that of his friends.

so when he's not getting accidentally wrapped up in some villain's evil plots, getting killed off in unorthodox ways by some sadistic gods, or busy with work, he's quite eager to meet new people and please those who stick around with him. since most of his youth was spent being sick, he's new to lengthy socializing outside of the theaters he spends most of his free time in. this can result in adam being similar to that of a clingy puppy as he desperately tries to fit in with new friends and get along with people. this of course can cause him grief or get him in trouble, but it just tends to be where he defaults too, especially without reassurances from those around him.

but regardless, with his kindhearted nature, adam is quick to warm up to most people and forgive those who fault him quite quickly. he's eager to show affection and hesitant to hate, so it's quite easy to see adam is kind of a total sap. [attr="class","rth2"]SUMMARY [attr="class","rcon1"]the keeper of the initiative is a rather interesting woman. most well known for being a trainer of the heroes of tomorrow, ricki's primary work focus is dedicated to the training of people to better control their powers. often times given some of the more difficult cases of power control to deal with, ricki finds it's either a case of the user not understanding the power itself or the user conflicting with their willingness to learn control. ricki gets quite invested in her students and with a firm but warm attitude, it's not too hard for her to get through to them most of the time. many new heroes on the scene have been trained by her and maintain close bonds with her, leaving ricki with a rather positive reputation for the most part.

however, this reputation of her's can also be slightly damaged by ricki's personal side project. an active support in the task of helping the reformation/redemption of ex-villains and vigilantes that have stepped a bit too far into the dark side, people either love her for her belief in people being able to change for the better, or hate her for sympathizing with people who have done a lot of wrong things. for those of the more open minded persuasion, she's an interesting person to talk to, but for those that are more stand firm in black and white beliefs, she can certainly ruffle their feathers. though, that doesn't bother her. ricki aspires to really help those around her become the best people that they can be, and she doesn't let much get in the way of this goal of her's.

this does seem to make a lot of people believe that ricki is rather gullible, or naive. perhaps she is, but even she has her limits with those she tries to help. from the start, ricki does not kid around with them and has a very simple system. understanding that change takes time means mistakes are made, but when they happen again and again, ricki will not be afraid to personally drag those she's helping off to jail or turn on them when it becomes evident that their natures will not change or they're not really taking her help as seriously as she has been. this isn't just some cute side project to ricki, it's a serious cause she does not joke around with.

outside of her work and side project, ricki seems to spend a lot of her free time just hanging out with friends or making new ones. she's a very friendly and happy-go-lucky person that's willing to meet new people, learn new things, and expand her horizons. she's all for trying wild ideas, parties, and crazy adventures. while being a great friend to rely on, she's also someone that's always just up for a good time for those of the more casual nature. she's a rather popular person one could say, courtesy of just being a really friendly and warm person in general. ADAM: Fellow civilians unite! Jack's also a civilian who just wants to observe the world as he is even though he gets into adventures too dangerous for his own good, so maybe the two of them should get into Trouble and try to scrape out of it somehow. Maybe a stage play event goes horribly wrong and they're stranded in the theatre, or something along those lines.
btw idk if you had anyone in mind for a miracle-maker, but I have a delta, who's capable of granting wishes. He lurks on the internet way too much for his own good, and if Adam ever met him on the internet and talked about his desires, I guess they could have set something up irl. Ofc if you already have someone else/planned things out, it's alright! He's the type of person who occasionally attends stage plays, haha.

CIVI BROS GO! I love that idea, especially since Jack's far more powerful than Adam, I feel like they'd have a Shaggy and Scooby Doo dynamic with Adam as Scooby and Jack as Shaggy. Could do something like a fire in the theater and the two have to try and find a way out without getting smashed by falling debris or burnt in the flames? The start of a beautiful friendship amirite?

I actually purposefully left it open just for something like this ♥ It'd be awesome to have Delta play his miracle worker. Since Adam was sick all the time, having him stumble across Delta on the internet is hardly far fetched - especially because he was deliberately looking for cures and stuff for his ailments on the internet in the first place. Or if anything, Adam and him meet at a play and during intermission, Adam and him chat and Adam jokingly remarks about how like one day he might be on that stage, but then start coughing and tacks on "if i stop being sick that is." with this weak chuckle... Which can lead to Adam unwittingly making the wish and Delta granting said wish. Internet or IRL, either works for me, honestly.
I do have a plot idea I just thought of that I might send your way regarding Adam & Delta, but I think seeing how the two interact first might be good. A general gist of the idea is something like Adam wanting to make more wishes to try and counter balance the bad luck so he ends up trying to make deals or pacts with Delta almost like a broke addict and drug dealer type set up. I don't know Delta fully and again, that's just some really rough general idea that could be explored later if you're interested.

ADAM: Hahahaha what a way to put it, but I like the Shaggy & Scooby dynamic as a basis. o/ That thread setup also works perfectly fine for me so hey, let's throw them together and watch them not die all the time lmao. It'll be fun I swear.
Also I think Delta might have wanted to see Adam irl before he did the wish thing, so he might have asked Adam to show up at a café, do the thing from a distance, and leave Adam feeling like he was stood up? But he was 'fixed', so ... yep, Delta definitely held up his end of the bargain.
Later on, maybe he shows up at Adam's plays as an innocent member of the audience just to check up on how Adam is doing. We could definitely combine it with your second plot idea if you're inclined to that as well :j Assuming Adam doesn't make the Delta = miracle man connection just yet, they could have p normal interactions until the reveal, wherein Adam continually goes back to Delta to 'fix' his condition?
It's not in the profile, but the general idea is that while Delta grants wishes, he's also a complete, utter enabler in the sense that if you want it real bad, he'll want to help out by giving it to you too.
After all, Adam may or may not have already signed a binding contract with him ／人◕ ‿‿ ◕人＼

That set up totally works. Maybe they were gamer pals as well before Adam expresses the whole I just want to be able to actually get up every day without worrying I'm gonna puke blood or puke or something and not be able to perform anymore, man. So just, meet on the internet, get invited to the cafe, and then Adam just sitting there looking like some sad fool waiting for a date that never shows up. Then cue bad luck kicking in, Adam not dying after the big nope of luck he gets hit with (maybe some sign falls on him or whatever), and realizing that his 'miracle' has happened.
Of course, he'd probably try to follow up and find Delta online again to ask if he did something to cause Adam's immortality / able body, and probably ask why Delta didn't show themselves at the meeting point. If Delta stops responding or doesn't say anything back, Adam would likely just let it go and enjoy life up until the down fall of his miracle starts to kick in and it's just "... Ifuckedup."
Anyways, Adam's kind of slow outside of theaters, so he'd totally fail to make the connection between his Miracle Worker and Delta unless Delta made it really obvious somehow so it'd certainly be interesting to just have them interacting normally before Delta's reveal.
So, we'll just see the direction Adam's character takes over time until the reveal. By then, I'll have a better idea of Adam's character and can plot out the potential Wish Addict plot a bit further. That work?

ADAM: Sure, they could have been gamer buddies. Delta also lurks on reddit and other sites, so if Adam has been asking around, it would have been a point of interest for Delta. All the same, I think Delta would have responded to him rather vaguely? Probably right after the café incident, Delta would have pm'd Adam with something along the lines of 'Enjoy!' or 'Have fun c:' lol. Anything else he wouldn't have answered, though.
Anyway, yep, the Miracle Worker-Delta connection is what I'm kinda looking forward to building up to, haha. Just casual friends for now would be fine, just keep me posted when it's time for more wishes \o/
Also if you could start the thread for Jack and Adam, that'd be great since you could set up the surroundings/context or something? Since it's sort of like Adam's turf, I guess. (tho if you wanna do Delta and Adam too I could start that, or we can hold that for later)

OML what a troll. Just Adam spamming him questions, no answers back, accepts fate. When the bad luck thing starts, just those sad messages of 'Is the bad luck part of this?' and 'How do I get lightning to stop hitting me?'
BUT ANYWAYS, I'll keep you posted on that plan for sure!
So, I can start jack & Adam's thread no problem. Would you like them to meet before the fire, or just dive right into the blaze?

Acceeeeeel. Watcher here, from the chat. I guess it's time for me to blabber incoherently in an attempt to plot >.< XD
So! I have two characters. There's Alice, the Electromancer, an electric ghost vigilante, and Julia, the current Justitia, a new Initiative hero with a legacy stemming back from Greek times to uphold--- she's also sheltered and blind, though her Daredevil-esque senses make up for it.
I guess if they're going to meet ADAM they're probably saving him from something? Although with Alice she usually requires technology to actually intervene, since she's limited by her ghostliness.
Oh, and if Alice and Adam get to know each other, he might talk about how he became immortal to her, the whole wish-granting thing? Ironically if it's Delta who did that, Alice has already sorta met him through an MMO, haha.
As for KEEPER... I mostly have ideas with Julia. Maybe she could train her? Although her power isn't that uncontrollable... her actual problem is that it takes time to match the level of strength her opponent has.
...ugh. So, yeah. I just want to plot with you but these ideas are all I have for now. Any thoughts? |

We were talking about this on the chatbox but Morricone is keeping a lot of repressed issues about his own monsters, antagonists, terrors, and the fact that he keeps a whole encyclopedia of crazed, monstrous mischief spirits in his own head. So he'd probably get drunk - we were talking about a New Year's Eve evening, maybe a press official thing? And Keeper trip-sits him through his barfing, crying and/or rambling.

His bad luck makes him sadly vulnerable to all types of criminal behavior. I think you're more interested in throwing Electromancer at him though given their FCs so we could focus on that angle?
First things first, Adam has no idea Delta is the person who granted his immortality. All he knows is some guy on Reddit with super powers helped him out but also kind of screwed him over. I can't really think of any legitimate way for them to put two-and-two together properly unless Electromancer for some reason suspects Adam's miracle worker is that one dude she randomly met online. But if it turns out to be possible, it'd be a certainly very neat development. He's still content to share his immortality origin story thing though.
Back to the "SAVE THE DAY" type of meeting, if it requires electronics, maybe we pull from their FC's source material a bit. Adam gets caught in some store's hostage situation, and there's some sort of hack the crooks did to lock out the police. Electromancer hops into Adam's phone and explains that she needs him to connect her to the security mainframe somehow. Adam reluctantly agrees, we go from there? | [attr="class","gpic"]  |

Keeper's power is basically throwing one's strength right back at them with ease, so they could go back and forth of like Ricki throwing a blow with a stop watch tracking the time it takes for Justitia to get up to par or something like that. Since she's more in control of her powers, it could be less of a student thing and more just co-workers helping each other out?
It could start with some Initiative agent or manager recommending Justitia to Keeper's lessons when expressing their power struggle. Then cut to Justitia tracking down Keeper in the compound and for some humor's sake (as I realized that these two are quite different yet similar personality wise) Justitia could come across Keeper on a lunch break so she's in full blown laidback casual mode while Justitia is all srs bsns. I feel like their dynamic could be incredibly entertaining, honestly just based off of their differences alone. I almost see Keeper kind of teasing her a little bit here or there while helping her out as well. | [attr="class","gpic"]  |

Like I'm talking full out nerd out of "I want to know everything about this dragon form stuff pleasethisiscoolokay." On a more serious note, since his powers seem more magic based than science based, Keeper might be a little at a lost of how to train him as she herself knows zip about magic. HOWEVER, if you have specific goals in mind for his power development, it'll be easier to come up with some way for Keeper to help him master his abilities. They might not be ideal for one-on-one training scenarios, but if he sought her out to try and work towards a certain goal, she's happy to help. Other than that, I can see him doing some general practice with Keeper that she might set up for like a general class of powered kids. Something like setting up challenges or obstacle courses for Ryou to work his way through as a sort of general training course. Since he can handle hand-to-hand combat proficiently, she'd like try to challenge him to face obstacles that require creative thinking like putting out fires, navigating dangerous terrain in the dark, stealth practice, or learning some parkour. As for a thread between Ryou, Justitia , and Keeper; I'd totally be down for that. Keeper arranging maybe for the two to do some monitored sparring against each other so Ryou can get in his hand-to-hand practice while Justitia works on her whole 'faster resistance' issue? Just an idea, though. However, before going too much further into that, I think I'd like to at least have Ryou & Keeper's training methods figured out first and do a little one-on-one thread with Justitia to make sure the two properly get along. | [attr="class","gpic"]  |

She spends a lot of her time working with teens that most of the time have a lot of traumatic pasts because of their powers, and her free time is dedicated to helping people repent and redeem themselves after doing awful things they've come to regret. So, dealing with a man breaking down is nothing new for her and she'll be able to listen to the terrible things he's dealt with without getting so disturbed herself that she makes him shut up, which is helpful when trying to help him cope with it himself.
So yes, meeting at a New Years' Eve party could totally work, and to circumvent the issue of Keeper herself being wasted, she'll just be fashionably late to this one and stumble upon poor Morri in the middle of his crisis. Maybe it's set in some fancy mansion and he locked himself in a bathroom or guest room and it turns into Keeper / Ricki spending the night just making sure he doesn't do anything stupid as he just vents all of his emotions out. Ryou + Keeper
Oh, I didn't expect magical training! Ryou isn't actively seeking mentorship on that one. He doesn't even know he can be trained on that. I was thinking more on the physical department and all the stuffs you mentioned! He's supposedly getting trained for espionage too since he can shapeshift; useful skill for stealing information. If Keeper could train students for that too, that's another to the list!
And I think Justitia is a sword-user too, so they could spar under Keeper's guidance.
By the way! Did Keeper fight in the 2008 alien invasion? Asking just in case since Ryou did. |
