Despite being subjugated to various experiments, she appears to be stable mentally. She sometimes goes into states of depression and will find solace in her books. She maintains a sense of justice about her to help those less fortunate than her. She is quite intelligent and perceptive as well. [attr="class","subcat"]biographical details In the 1960s, the FBI began receiving numerous reports of strange activities. Conspiracy theorists and cryptozoologists call these reports and investigations "X-Files" due to their bizarre nature. In order to preserve their findings, the U.S. Government opened up another top secret area deep inside of the Appalachian Mountains known as Area 42. [break][break] Fast forward to the early 2000s. After compiling a huge database of genetic information on several cryptids, experiments were conducted on a group of orphaned children. The experiments killed a few of the subjects, but the ones that survived were closely observed by the scientists that created them. The scientists were kind to all of their subjects, and they were their only source of care and attention apart from the clean-up crew and cooks. [break][break] Jenny Mulder was one of these test subjects. In the classified documents she was labeled "Jane Doe 314," however her scientist, Dr. Mulder, referred to her as "Jenny." Dr. Mulder was like a father to her, teaching her various things about the outside world and telling her more about the world and the mysteries in it. [break][break] After the alien attack in 2008, a large, unknown coup was occurring in regards to Area 42. The United States Military wanted full control of the base in an attempt to weaponize the discoveries to defend America from threats from outer space, whereas the Federal Bureau of Investigation wanted to keep the base as a way to discover new methods of adaptability for certain cryptids and how they could be introduced to society. It was a long, strung out, waste of taxpayers’ money, but in the end, the military took control around 2012. They kept on the doctors, but they decided to be the judges of the subjects themselves, forcing unrealistic tests upon them. [break][break] Jenny was labeled as a failure after failing to kill another test subject just solely on orders alone. What made it worse was that though she often used her powers before the military takeover, she purposefully hid most of them during the military takeover. She remained at Area 42, but now, more than ever, the military ordered more experiments to fix her "broken" state. [break][break] Dr. Mulder had finally had enough of this. One day before a scheduled procedure on Jenny, Dr. Mulder managed to get past several security barriers and helped Jenny escape from the compound. This was her freedom day, August 14, 2014. Jenny ran away from the place, adopted the last name “Mulder,” and eventually found Kingsport, wherein she currently tries to survive life in the city as basically an orphan. In Kingsport, she sometimes takes on the role as the vigilante "Cryptid," where she attempts to help anyone she can with her mutant abilities. The result of mutations in her genes, she has the ability to either utilize certain aspects and abilities of a Cryptid with a few changes to her body, or take the form of a Cryptid or Cryptid-like being completely. [attr="class","subcat"]Enhanced Condition: As a result of her mutated state, Jenny is able to have much more endurance than normal humans. Also a result of various experiments performed on her by means of the military. [attr="class","subcat"]Sequencing Suit Though she is able to utilize her mutated powers on her own, Jenny is able to sequence her mutated genome better when she wears her Sequencing Suit. She normally uses it whenever she's doing vigilante work, utilizing it as part of her costume. [attr="class","subcat"]Enhanced Perception A side result of her mutated genes, Jenny's eyes can actually see beyond certain barriers. Though her ability works better at night, during the day she can spot things at greater distances than others can. She is also able to hear things at lower frequencies than normal humans. On top of all that, she has a heightened sense of smell, allowing her to smell things at greater distances along with the ability to single out a single smell. [attr="class","subcat"]Academic Knowledge Thanks to Dr. Mulder, Jenny's natural Genius Level IQ, and her love of reading, Jenny has a refined sense of knowledge. She has college levels of understanding in most subject matter, and has a photographic memory. |
