She tread lightly through the forested area--- this was a portion of the Miskatonic River that was... wilder than most. Technically it was part of one of the many parks and reserves that bordered the winding stream, but it was... far enough and deep enough into the borders that the security of such places weren't so... secure.
There was practically no one here--- she could hear for great distances, and all she could pick up were the sound of various animals and insects, the gurgling of the river far off, the whisper of the wind--- ah, but there were a few people going about, they might be the area's sentinels... or one of the people she was looking for.
There had been... traces of a particularly raucous event in this area--- raucous, violent, and bloody. Body parts have been found, even, and the police could find no clue who could have done this--- they had a hard time piecing together just who exactly had died, even. It was a gruesome business... but what was chilling was that the perpetrators have not been found. And so, she was here, checking the scene of the crime one more time--- there might be something she could sense that the investigators had not found---
...there was... the smell of alcohol.
...someone was approaching.

So troublesome, the god of the vine thought to himself. His followers had grown increasingly uncontrollable as of late, and the coming full moon only seemed to intensify their madness. It made them terribly careless.
He had spent the last few weeks covering up for his irresponsible children, warping the minds of police investigating the scenes to avoid finding any incriminating evidence and keep the trail running cold but he knew it was only a matter of time before the Initiative sent their dogs to sniff out the scene. What a nuisance.
But this girl was certainly strange, her heart was almost completely closed off and it made it difficult for him to find a weakness in her. And her blindfold, it reminded him of a certain ‘hero’ he had tangled with before. He had heard rumors of the office of Justitia coming into the light and the new heir taking up the mantle of a hero, but he took the gossip of Kingsport lightly.
Dionysus’s curiosity however was getting the best of him, if this was in fact the Justitia he had to get a better look. Disguising himself as a hapless backpacker the god decided that if in fact this woman was a regular mutt he’d simply put her in a haze and send her on her way.
Coming through the brush he looked surprised and a bit frightened as he gave out a yelp of fear. “Ah! I’m sorry ma’am excuse me!” He was frazzled and his surprise felt extremely genuine. “Are, are you Initiative?” Anyone would be a bit caught off guard to find a costume clad person in the middle the the forest, especially since they weren’t always necessarily heroes.
“I’m sorry, I went off trail I know I just, get such a little too adventurous you know?” A nervous laugh and a goofy smile, he waited for the dog to make her move. He wanted to know who she was.

"Ah, no. I apologize for startling you."
The person was... well, there did not seem to be anything amiss with him, from what her senses, mundane and supernatural, could pick up; while of course the culprit could be coming back to the scene of the crime, it was not like she had asked this area to be cordoned off, and people can be completely unaware of what happened in the area. It was a male... "I am." she easily responds.
Still, there was that strange smell of liquor about the area. "This place may be unsafe." she warns. She focuses on various spots in the brush for possible clues of what could have happened here, and how exactly it had happened. "It may be best for you to avoid this area in the meantime." It was a bit dismissive, but Julia did not know that, and she was merely speaking the truth, from her currently incomplete perspective.
While she paid some attention to the stranger, most of her observation was in finding possible clues.

She was sharp, but not sharp enough to see through his illusion. A fledgling perhaps? She didn’t even seem to question his presence, what a naive girl.
“Do, do you really think it’s that dangerous here?” He seemed to be startled. “I heard rumors online, about severed body parts being found out here.” He was trying to pry open her mind carefully without her feeling it. If she was a true disciple of Justitia than she’d be sharp enough to know when her mind was being infiltrated.
She may have been naive but her mind was strong, hard to crack but not impossible. He found it, it was her! She really was a fledgling, Maybe this was the entertainment he was looking for.
“I actually got to thinking, what if those people wanted it to happen to them. Would that be weird? Is it still wrong if it’s what they wanted?” Using the influence he gained over her mind he began to try and shut down her nerves and paralyze her. He had some catching up to do with the new Justitia.

She had considered the possibility this stranger had something to do with the situation she was investigating--- that was why, even as her back was turned to him and she listened for different parts of the scene of crime, she still kept some attention towards him.
"It is dangerous---" she began, stooping into the undergrowth to find something--- was it a body part, or something else--- but her investigation was interrupted by--- someone was peering into her mind. It was subtle--- and she had no way of knowing who was doing it--- but there was only one person here besides her, unless such a mental maneuver was the fault of someone from so far away. "---are you doing that, mister?"
As if in answer, the man continued to speak, even as she felt numbness in various limbs in her body--- she could not even, for a moment, turn back to face the stranger. The man was most likely her opponent--- and the twisting monologue seemed to add credence to that notion. She remembered the briefing, what--- or who--- the Initiative thought did this. Someone quite close to the origins of her gifts...
She breathed in, and out, and with an effort--- something that she was not certain she could have done, and for a moment she thought she would have to summon the Scales to do it--- broke off the paralysis. While she was in a ready stance, breaking off the debilitating enchantment had taken quite a bit of her stamina. She needed to take a breath if she was to summon the Scales.
So, she took the moment to answer his question. "Wants do not dictate what is right and what is wrong. Those are things that do not change, even if the heart wavers." she says, matter of factly. She turned around to regard him with her complete attention; apparently she had been doing him a disservice by not giving him that.
And then, to pose her own question, as well. From the scents, the dismemberment, and the information of the Initiative agents... "Tell me... are you of any relation to lord Dionysus?"
