I DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T COME SOMETHING HAS TO MAKE YOU RUN. I FEEL AS EMPTY AS A DRUM.

Finally posted yay~ | Despite having been accepted into the Initiative for a while now, he hadn’t really bothered to look around the compound during his adjustment period or the stable periods afterwards for one reason or another. Now that Ricki was actively recommending the place to practice his powers after finding out that he was practicing them at home, he didn’t quite have the excuse to put it off anymore.
Besides, the active recommendation meant that he finally had the excuse to look around the area for his real employers. Not that anyone here needed to know that.
So after asking directions from a friendly guard at the entrance, Zernebog made his way to one of the training areas inside the enormous, classically-styled (was that the right term) compound. It all seemed so new and strange. Sure, his actual group had Earth-style training rooms like this, but these had more people in it that had some of the martial spirit. The equipment seemed whiter and shinier too… plus there were a lot of strange things that he hadn’t seen before. It all seemed novel yet primitive, if he were being honest.
He didn’t know where to start, frankly. So that look of awe and surprise on his face as he wandered around and tried to ignore the other people looking at the stranger who just walked in? Totally real. |

...the training rooms have become one of the places she found herself lingering in within the Initiative's compound, when she was not being summoned to her duties against lawbreakers.
There were quite a variety of them, for a variety of uses, for abilities like hers and abilities less direct--- like the manipulation of the elements or the spirits, for example. It seemed the Initiative's variety of people have made them adept in, more or less, honing the varying skills heroes bring to the table.
These facts had transfixed her many a time, and still, they do, that while she went to the training rooms to, indeed, train herself, sometimes she found herself watching other people train, usually in ways that she cannot.
She was in the midst of this and resting from her latest workout when someone she had not met before entered the room... and there was a strange spiritual shadow lingering about him. Was he cursed, or something? Shouldn't he be instead in the medical quarters?
She rose from her seat and approached him. "Excuse me. Are you all right?"

Edited to take the PM into consideration | Okay, Zernebog was aware that he might look a little (okay a lot but he wasn’t going to admit that) lost but to have some female stranger come up to him and ask if he was alright was a little alarming in of itself.
”I'm fine. Feeling pretty good, actually.” Zernebog replied as he turned around and saw a blonde woman. Nothing that looked out of the ordinary aside from the faint taste of old, foreign magic he could feel lingering around her that kind of felt like traces of onces he'd been finding here and there.
Still, for a stranger to ask was pretty embarrassing and he scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. ”Why do you ask?” He bit back the words 'do I look lost' because that would make him look bad. He wasn't all that well-versed in Earthling culture even now, but even he knew not to embarrass himself like that by now. That would invite more questions, as would asking about the energy that lingered around and within her. |

He... was okay. Apparently. Perhaps the effects were more subtle than she thought? Then again, not everyone can perceive what she can.
"There is... a gloom about your person." she elaborates. "I can... perceive this sort of things. Usually something psionic or magical." she continues. "This is why I was concerned. I thought it must be a curse of some sort."
"Is this normal for you, then?" she inquires. There were all sorts of people in the Initiative, and the sources of people's powers can be for different reasons, she had been learning during her stay. People from beyond the stars, like Miss Anna; Others from incantations and rituals, like Miss Kamila; and still others lie in their creation and utilization of technology, or certain abilities given to them in birth. Perhaps this gloom was something this person simply had.
"I apologize if I have disturbed you." she stated. "My name is Julia, also known as Justitia." she introduced herself, and then noticed the fact that... well, she had not seen this person in the training rooms before. "Is this your first time here?" Of course, she could be wrong, maybe the man was simply unavailable before she started frequenting the place...

I died but now I am alive | A gloom? Zernebog had no idea what on Earth -or galaxy- she was talking about until she mentioned that she can sense psionic or magical maladies and the like. Well, shit. Not even a few minutes in this place and he was already being called out for a problem he was trying to keep down on the low (or however the terminology went; this new decade’s slang was rather strange) by a random stranger. Maybe next time he should come here with Ricki so that she could act as a buffer and pull all attention to her instead so that he could explore and train in peace? Not that he would actually do that to her, but it was a sort-of comforting thought.
The more disconcerting thing was that curse was kind of close to nailing it on the head. Of course, it’s not a curse and more of a diluted but still horrifically strong taint to make most people nauseous if they tried to look into it deeper. To be honest, he was impressed and relieved that they could dilute it at all, but that was a story for another time and place. Not here and now.
”Eh, not really. But I’ve learned to deal with it. Don’t worry about it though, it’s fine. You’re not the first person to bother me about it.” He finally replied with a small shrug.
At the next question, he paused and nodded. No sense in denying his newness. He bet that someone here could literally smell the newbie on him. ”Yeah, first time ‘round here. Nice to meet you, Julia.” He paused for a moment before remembering that he was also supposed to introduce himself. Right. Human earthling politeness.
”I am Zernebog, known as Perun.” And a lot of other names she didn’t need to know about, he thought to himself as he offered his hand. ”Would there be any training equipment that you would recommend?” He asked bluntly, getting to the point once she took his hand or not. |

...so it was not natural? But he has learned to deal with it? Was it some sort of remnant or scar? "Are you certain?" she asked one last time. "Is it not... uncomfortable? Have you not found ways to remove it?"
Ah, but perhaps they should not dwell too much on that matter--- she had already inconvenienced him with her concern, and it did not seem to impede his senses or movement, from what she could tell. "It is good to meet you, too, Mister Zernebog." she politely responded.
"I am fairly new, myself." she confessed, even as she took his hand and shook it, gently but firmly. That was the custom, right? That was why he was offering his hand?
And then there was his question... well, while she was new, these training rooms had become some of her favorite haunts. While her strength and speed adapted to her opponents, while it was in the process of doing so, she was only human--- and so Julia had thought she should polish her skills and attributes more, and so she had been frequently here.
"There are weights, and there are targets, and there is this... machine with a platform that moves, and you practice running on it, and there is another machine where you are supposed to hit it at a certain point with a certain force..." she said, and while her tone was even the stream of words was quick in flowing--- she might just be a little enthusiastic.
"There are also... more... specialized? Things... for certain powers." Her lack of familiarity with some terms were the only things that slowed her speech somewhat. "What can you do, Mister Zernebog? Maybe there is something for that here." She spoke seriously, as if an accomodating host.
