Monsters are only as scary as you make them out to be...

Do you have a freak of nature that was an experiment? Do you want to make a freak of nature or a forced mutant? Then come on down to Area 42 and make your own freak of nature! What is Area 42, you may ask? Think of Area 51, but with more human experiments!
Area 42 is home to many experiments on genetics and that sort of thing. Currently, the only known escapee is Jenny Mulder, but she wouldn't join the Initiative at all! However, due to the large amount of military experiments, there has to be at least someone there that joins the Initiative!
First off, my first idea for a character would be someone that can turn into any dinosaur. Think Jurassic Park, but all contained inside of a human. The requirements for this one would be between 12 and 17 years old and would have to start out as a Hero working for the initiative. Other than that, you can do whatever you want to him.
Secondly, I really want there to be more than one person that comes from Area 42. Keep in mind that Area 42 doesn't normally experiment on aliens, but it will experiment on practically anything else that has to do with animals, beasts, or even machines. Cyborgs, mutants, hybrids, all of those can come out of Area 42.
If you're interested, leave a reply!

This sounds like it might get interesting!
Alright, so I have a couple of ideas that you might like (none of them include dinosaurs at this point–sorry!). My first idea would center around a female tree-like alien (using Zyra from League of Legends as a FC) with practically no knowledge of the outside world after escaping from District 42. She also can't speak, which makes her communication problems worse. She can, however, communicate telepathically. Besides this, she would possess a large number of plant-based powers. I could see this type of character joining the Initiative, or at least being open to the suggestion, simply because she finds herself scared, alone, and in need of friends. Then again, she might just meet up with Cryptid and decide to help her instead, seeing as they probably have shared experiences and might even know each other.
Another thought I had would be to create a former employee of District 42–a doctor who had a hand in creating many of the 'freaks' and forced mutants in the District. This character would not be a hero at all; while she served her purpose quite well in the past, she was finally fired because her work on mutations was considered too extreme even for District 42 standards. Now that she's on her own, the good doctor spends her time creating bizarre monstrosities and other crimes against nature, along with searching for all of her 'children'–the individuals that she experimented on during her time at District 42. While I'm sure the District escapees would only remember this woman with fear or anger, she has a twisted sort of 'love' for the freaks she has made, and wants to be reunited with them as soon as possible. As far as powers are concerned, this character would likely have some form of power negation that, coupled with her medical knowledge and fighting skill, makes her extremely dangerous for anyone who crosses her path. I'd probably use Valentine from Skullgirls as this charrie's FC.
Well, that's what I've got at the moment. Let me know if either one of these particularly strikes your fancy!

Thread, I'm loving these ideas! I really want to see the doctor come into play, as well as the whole alien tree girl. However, I really want to see more of the motherly doctor come into play. Just do whatever you want those two ideas, if you're game for it! This will be fun!
