Someone was in her room.

She knew the moment the door opened, even as no key was within to unlock it. The click had woken her easily enough--- she was always ready for emergencies, even if the Initiative Compound was largely secure--- there was no telling if she might be needed.

Who was the intruder? Her hearing told her it was a tall man--- taller than what she normally found. What were his intentions? She pretended to sleep to find out, although that ended up with him putting... earplugs on her? Well, that did muffle sounds, but she could still feel vibrations around the room with her skin... although all she could gather without her echolocation was that he was moving things around.

...she waited a little more. ...the man seemed to be still... or maybe he had gone off. It was hard to tell. At the very least the man did not seem to have any particular malicious intentions with her, beyond the earplugs. She rose and found a wall at the side of her bed... so she swung her legs to the floor the other way. She then took out her earplugs. All her furniture had been moved one way or the other...

...there was a small person on her pillow.

"...who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked, dryly.

His transformation back to his full height startled her, if nothing else of his elaborate preparations did. Still, that surprise was muted by the practiced schooling of her features, and Boum would have needed to look closely the twitch. "Mister Boum? Ah, the mission." she remembered.

...and then he picked her up. He was... rather large. She'd already noticed that when he entered, but it was still rather strange. It was a strange sensation, to be carried, but she did not have particular opinions for or against it, and so she didn't complain. "That doesn't explain why you went inside the room, and why you moved everything---" and then he snapped and everything returned to their original positions. Huh.

"Proper rest is important." she mumbled. "I could get prepared quickly." ...it was a bit true that she had overslept, though. She'd been worrying about the mission since yesterday, wondering if it was all right that they'd been ordered to wait for the morning to mobilize--- but orders were orders.

So she'd ended up sleeping late even if she went to bed early... and her instincts were too good against her alarm, she'd managed to shut it and fall back asleep again. If she had been just a bit more alert she could have moved before Boum had entered her room. She felt a bit mortified, although again it only very slightly showed on her face.

Still, she didn't feel that it was so late that the man had to barge into his room, and that didn't excuse his fiddling with her furniture. She would have to hear his explanation.

...ah, and he went to peer in her closet. "I have white ones too." she muttered, and it was true; right now the nightdress she wore to sleep was white. She seemed to miss the point where she called her underclothes boring--- or that he inspected them in the first place. Ah, and then he stopped bothering her. "In the hall. All right."

True enough to her word, she was ready in just a few minutes. She joined the intruding fairy in the hall. "Shall we go then, Mister Boum?"
