01 | FOMALHAUT The Fomalhaut are a race of trolls similar to the trolls of Warcraft by Blizzard. They are tall, hunchbacked, blue and green-skinned, red-eyed, three-fingered, long-eared and have protruding tusks in their mouth. They live in a small star of the same name. Compared to Earth, the planet Fomalhaut lacked natural resources but they possessed a level of technology that allowed them to thrive despite their limited resources. They co-existed with the Haessa, who have shared to them their Xoth-level of technology, allowing them to progress even more. Despite the fearsome, brute-like appearance of the Fomalhaut, they are very intelligent with their general population possessing IQ equivalent to a prodigy in human society. They are skilled tacticians and engineers as well as warriors wielding light sabers and high-tech laser guns. The Fomalhaut society is tight-knit. Their concept of family includes an entire community ranging from fifty to hundreds. They are very vindictive to enemies that harm their brothers and sisters. It is not unusual for communities to go to war at each other when blood is spilled, accidentally or not (think human mafias.) |

02 | HAESSA The Haessa was a drifting alien race that migrated into the Milky Way from the Xoth System. They were formerly ruled by a council of templars until RULER overthrew them and became leader of the race. They settled down on Fomalhaut and co-existed with them by sharing their technology. The Haessa appear robotic much like the Protoss in Starcraft and possess psychic powers. They communicate through telepathy and their minds are often open for reading. Despite this, they have a limited range of emotions, having little attachments and making cold, calculative decisions based on logic and not feelings. They have a precision for words, considering words like "love" to be too vague that it's obsolete. Those that are too emotional are considered abnormal in their society. The souls of the Haessa possess a special quiddity that, when combined with their alchemy, can grant life energy such as the Haessa stone, which, when swallowed, gives a limited form of immortality. As it involves killing among the race, it is considered as a taboo. Vanoahrt is the only known creature who have breached this. Survival had always been the interest of the Haessa. Before settling down in Fomalhaut, they plundered lesser civilizations and attacked spaceships, acting similar to space pirates. |

03 | KOVYSA kovysa (ko-veess-ah) is a sovereign city micronation in western asia, on the coast of the black sea, on the border between turkey and georgia. less than thirty square miles in area and with a population of only forty thousand. it’s existed in some form or another for almost a thousand years, in roughly the same site as a medieval-period romani kingdom, and in its current state is a constitutional elective monarchy and member of the council of europe. the official language of kovysa is kovysan, similar to ottoman turkish, with a large number of loanwords from georgian, armenian and arabic. modern turkish is widely spoken in the population, and the kovysan school curriculum also teaches russian and english. kovysa’s culture is heavily matriarchal and heavily magical, with all schoolchildren given basic magical education. advanced magical education is available only to girls and those men who elect to join kovysa’s small military, and only women may be elected to the national council, the governing body of the country. the head of state is an elected queen, although currently her highness the princess regent taline solak IV is ruling in absentia on behalf of her runaway daughter. kovysan men are traditionally miners and soldiers, although attitudes in the country are beginning to soften to allow a greater range of accepted work. the national economy is heavily based on tourism and gem mining, but some of the world’s most foremost magical industry firms maintain presence in kovysa to take advantage of the population’s high concentration of extremely magically-adept individuals. kovysan GDP is high for such a small country, and the levels of unemployment and personal debt are extremely low. |

04 | AREA 42 In the early 1960s, America was busy fighting the Cold War with Russia while also facing threats from other places, such as outer space. While Area 51 looked to the stars to establish defenses for humanity, Area 42 was created with the intention of looking around earth for various ways to defend humanity by making it stronger. Armed with the knowledge of the human genome, the government decided to leave Area 42 in the care of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This was primarily where a lot of info regarding X-Files was kept, with the occasional alien case being sent over to Area 51. The expeeriments at first were started on rats, cats, and dogs, but in the 1990s, instead of trying to beef up the intelligence of animals, they thought it would be a good idea to experiment on humans instead. Numerous orphans with no chance were taken in for experimentation. Some died, others survived. Some of them that survived were released with papers and money in order to live a healthy life when they turned 18. Others were kept on as more experiments were performed. All within humane reason, of course. After the alien attack of 2008, the military instituted a takeover of Area 42 in the name of "defense," forgetting that the Bureau was entrusted with performing that very task. When the military did take over, harsher experimentation took place on subjects in hopes that they could be used by the Initiative or even by the Military itself. Area 42 is still functioning today in southeastern Pennsylvania as a research facility known only to certain conspiracy theorists and test subjects. The classification of this place has been kept even more in the dark than Area 51. What was once a beacon of research and progress of the human race has been reduced to a factory of war machines... |

05 | STALMIRA A country only five years of age, Stalmira is a monarchical nation located in Western Siberia. It was created by its current ruler Queen Elisabet Lazarev as a safe haven for superhumans of any variety, and as such it has attracted immigrants from many countries where superhumans are treated as second class citizens.[break][break] Stalmira is noted as being highly progressive despite its form of government, as the nation is not only open to mistreated superhumans, but also people seeking religious freedom, equal rights for the LGBT community, among many other groups that otherwise would have a hard time in their home countries. As such, the culture of Stalmira is highly diversified, much like the United States. The capital city of Dommertvykh is a thriving metropolis that is ever expanding into the Siberian wilds. Every day, new buildings begin construction.[break][break] Wanting Stalmira to be seen as a positive place on the world stage, its queen decided to be very proactive in global politics. As such there is now a Stalmiran representative in the United Nations, the country has been accepted into NATO, and its queen regularly makes friendly diplomatic visits to many countries around the world, especially the United States. |

06 | NEPHILIM PARTICLE The Nephilim Particle exists somewhere between the physical plane an the spiritual plane, and is a conduit between the two parts with which bridges the gap between both planes of existence. Nephilim Particles are in essence, constructs and forms relating to the Platonic Forms and the Souls of the individual. It is also governs the constructs with which that of divinity and hell are created from. Any individual who is capable of making use of Nephilium therefore, can create and construct what they will, and ignore the laws of Physics in such a creation by the direction of one's will, a shift in the planes through one's direct consciousness. Nephilim Particles have been created twice in existence. The first individual to create it was Plato, creating the Philosopher's Stone. And from it he wrote his thesis on the Platonic Forms. But it's creation process was lost through time, and since then no one has been able to create another. From that research, the second individual, John Gray, also known as Azrael, was the second individual to have invented the Philosopher's Stone, but has since fused it with his soul, creating what he now calls the Nephalus Core. |

07 | THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE There exists two version of the Philosopher's Stone. The first one, created of Nephilim Particles and bound to the physical world through a giant stone, is capable of creating energy, as well as manipulating elements. While rudimentary, it's power allowed individuals to create and grant powers beyond what Physics allowed, such as turning any material into gold, granting the user immortality, as well as being able to generate an endless source of power. Sadly, the stone has been destroyed by Zeus. The second Philosopher's Stone is also known as the Nephalus Core, is stored within the soul of John Gray, also known as Azrael. This stone is significantly more refined, as it is stored in a non-physical plane of existence, its own power is bound specifically to Azrael's will. It has since been used by Azrael for heroic and vigilante activities. The Nephalus Core allows the individual to bend fundamental forces to their will, so long as they maintain physical contact with said object and project their focus onto said object. |

08 | THE BAVARIAN ILLUMINATI The Illuminati, not to be confused with the Freemasonry or the Masonic Order, are a secret society of world influencing individuals who control significant sectors of economy throughout the world. Formed originally by Adam Weissheupt of the Freemasons, the organization is immensely political in nature, controlling fluctuations in society for at least three centuries. As an offshoot of the Freemasons, the Illuminati have since cut ties completely, and have since been operating independently. The power of the organization grew immensely as they orchestrated the French Revolution, evolving cultures of scientific progress and free thought, gender equality and economic progress throughout many worlds. It is speculated that the movements within cultural shifts are often primarily masterminded by the Illuminati, but these have not been confirmed as the organization has been well guarded and well kept, even with recent events going on in the world. The Illuminati carry immense wealth and host a secret cabal of world leaders underneath it's membership, though none have ever actually been able to identify any one of the other members within its organization. |

09 | HOMO LUNARIS Cousins to homo sapiens, the homo lunaris were forcefully evolved from their Earth bound brethren over twenty thousand years ago. This evolution gifted them all with extreme longevity (basically immortality), stark silver hair, and a dense physique which in turn granted them: enhanced strength, durability, stamina, speed, and a healing factor. The females of this lunar race are the truly gited though, as they possess fantastic psychic powers. Ranging from different levels of strength and uses, every woman of the moon can use their psionic powers at varying levels of strength, but the Queen surpasses them all. These abilities came at a cost, however. An ancient and powerful group of aliens came to the solar system and built a colony on the dark side of Earth's moon where they soon realized that there was life on the blue planet only a couple hundred miles away. Visiting the planet, they abducted a large population of homo sapiens to experiment on. The earliest of test manipulated and tested their physical forms through various chemicals and machines. These crude, and often deadly, experiments killed off many of the original stock of humans. So they returned to Earth and found more. Their next test were more refined. These experiments directly affected the DNA of their human hostages; yet, the trials were similar to the last: most of the homo sapiens perished. Whether it be through incompatible genes, grotesque physical mutations, or even infertility these mutated humans died out in less than a generation. Save for one specific branch of homo sapiens. Homo Lunaris. Unlike their fellow lab guinea pigs, they thrived in their lunar environment. Strong, durable, and quick they seemed to be the next leap forward from homo sapiens. A feat which made the aliens that had been working on the human experiments for so long proud of their achievements. Unbeknownst to them, however, there was more their successful subjects than meets the eye. The first female born to the homo lunaris possessed incredible psychic powers. These gifts turned this single woman into a messiah for her people. She would start a revolution to free and her kin from the clutches of their masters and creators. And so she did. With her psionic abilities she annihilated the otherworldly scientist and forced them to flee from their lunar base and retreat into the depths of space. This victory allowed the homo lunaris to finally call the Moon their home, and for a few short centuries it was tranquil. That was until the first birth. The scientist that had created them installed a failsafe of sorts into their genes; when a woman becomes pregnant, a special nerve begins to develop through pregnancy connecting the mother and unborn child’s brains through the umbilical cord in order to pass their psychic/psionic abilities to them, and once it is cut, the mother goes brain dead allowing the child to live. Once this was discovered, the messiah and now ruler of the homo lunaris, went into action. They would take the tactics of their former captors and go to Earth to fine suitable breeding stock. Their kidnapping of men from Earth went well, with the first man being from a small village in France that henceforth influenced the culture of the moon to be medieval french, despite their superior technology. It was this very cultural influence that caused that first woman messiah to be named Queen of the Moon and become a revered person within the lunar society. As Queen, and the most powerful psychic of her people, it was her responsibility to travel to Earth and obtain breeders. As the years passed, the society became more and more matriarchal. Men were seen as nothing but brute force or breeding material; being trained to fight with enormous spears tipped with vibranium. Women, on the other hand, were as respected as their Queen. Born with a single psionic power of their own, all females on the silver rock are seen as powerful figures in their own right, especially those who are willing to sacrifice themselves to further propagate their species. The homo lunaris continued living in this way for eons, watching their distant cousins live on their big blue planet from afar. That was until the early 1400s according to Earth years. Her Grace, Selene d'Lune, Messie des Esclaves, Reine de l' Homo Lunaris, Dame de le Lune, and Protecteur de la Lune, fell in love with a human male. She abandoned her mission and her people, staying on Earth and leaving them to fend for themselves. Back on the moon, however, the homo lunaris went into disarray. A regent council was set up in place to rule and assist the moon bound people while they searched for their Queen. Even though she had been missing for hundreds of years, nearly all of the homo lunaris still supported their original savior and would never betray her. The small minority that did not, which happened to be many of the regent council, sought to find their exiled Queen and end her. They sought to keep their current power and eventually go to war with the inferior homo sapiens. Now, in the current day, a select team of lunar warriors have been sent by the regent council to find and capture their long lost Queen and bring her back to the Moon where supposedly she will be put back in power. In reality, she will be executed and the council will become the true ruling power. Yet, unbeknownst to them, a true heir has been born and were she taught the ways of her people, could become the next Queen. |

10 | EXY For the sake of length I'm going to spoiler cut this into two parts, but essentially: Exy is the next step of lacrosse, but with the bonus of ice hockey's unrelenting violence thrown in. Played on a soccer-sized court, an Exy team consists of six players, each of which has a racquet with varying depths of netting. To score, the players must shoot the ball at the goal, a rectangle marked on the shorter wall. The goal will light up in red if it has been hit. The objective of the game is to out-score one's opponents. Exy is played in two forty-five minute halves with a fifteen minute halftime break. The Exy Rules and Regulations Committee (ERC) is responsible for approving rule changes and generally oversees the sport. Exy is a recent sport, only 30 years old, but has found its way into American hearts quickly. There are college teams, a professional league, and the US National team, referred to as the "US Court". Further details are broken up into two parts for those fastidious enough (or interested enought!) to read them. Rules and Regulations of Exy: An Exy court is 60 yards wide x 100 yards long x 10 yards tall (in meters, roughly 55 x 91 x 9). It is completely enclosed by a half-inch thick plexiglass wall: primarily for rebounds and passing, but also to protect the audience from being struck by the ball. Both Home and Away have doors to allow players on and off that bolt on the outside. These doors must not be open when the ball is in play. The court is divided into fourths by three lines: first-court (near the Home goal), half-court, and far-court (near the Away goal). Penalty shots are taken from marked spots halfway between first-court/far-court and the Home/Away goal, respectively. The Exy goals are on either end of the court. The actual goal is a 3 x 7 yard (2.7 x 6.4 meter) section on the wall outlined by a bold line. The goalkeeper's territory is the 3 x 7 area on the ground directly in front of the goal, also marked by a line. Players are not allowed to cross the goal line. The boxed-in area of the goal wall is laden with sensors. When a ball strikes inside the goal the wall will light up red. A ball that hits the goal's border itself does not count. Each goal counts as one point. The objective of the game is to out-score one's opponents. The TeamsThere are four positions: striker, dealer, backliner, and goalkeeper. - The striker is offense and plays to score -- Strikers start the game on the half-court line. The strikers on the serving team start on the inside; strikers for the defending team are on the outside. - The dealer serves and is thereafter the middleman; dealers have the option to specialize as offense or defense and can play as an extra striker or backliner depending on how the game is going -- Dealers start on the first/far-court lines. - The backliner is defense and protects the goal -- Backliners start on the first/far-court lines. - The goalkeeper guards the goal Six players per team are allowed on the court at a time. Generally speaking, this allows for two strikers, a dealer, two backliners, and the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is an optional position, however; a manager may sacrifice the goal for an extra player under certain circumstances. The minimum size for an NCAA team is currently nine players. In theory this allows for six on-court players and a sub for each position save goalkeeper. After recent events this rule is under review and posited to increase to twelve. EquipmentRacquet- Net depth varies by position. Dealers have the deepest nets so they can more easily carry the ball between offense and defense. Striker racquets are a bit shallower, still allowing them time to line up a perfect shot. Backliner racquets have just a little give, as backliners are strongly discouraged from carrying the ball; the longer a ball is near the goal the higher the chance an opposing striker can take possession of it. Goalkeeper racquets are flat. They are also the largest of the racquets, with a head that measures 1.5 x 2 feet. - Goalkeeper racquets are also the longest allowed on court, with a shaft that tops out at 4 feet. Racquets for every other position have a range of 30-45 inches based on player height and preference. Racquet weights are also negotiable, as are the materials allowed in the construction. Generally speaking, offense racquets are made of aluminum (for lighter carry and more control), and heavy defense racquets are made of wood (for more power and force in challenges). Ball- Roughly the size of a fist and weighted for rebounds Helmet- Required to be worn on the court at all times unless instructed otherwise by an official or unless the game is not in session. A visor goes in front of the eyes to allow a protected but unobstructed view of the court; grating protects the face from the nose down. Armor- Chest and shoulder padding, neck guard, shin guards, arm guards, and armored gloves to protect the players' fingers. Optional: bandannas to keep hair out of one's face, armor to wear over one's thighs under one's shorts, and mouth guards (to prevent accidental injury during collisions) Basic Rules1. Off-sides is in effect on Exy courts. Meaning: an offense player who does not have possession of the ball, or who is moving to take possession of the ball, must have an opposing defense player between him or herself and the opposing goalkeeper at all times. This prevents strikers from waiting near the goal to score. The penalty for off-sides is loss of possession and a reset to the half-court line. 2. Body checks are allowed against players who have reasonable possession of the ball: that is, who currently have it, who have just relinquished it, or who are within a moment of receiving it. The player who currently has possession of the ball may body-check any other player with no restrictions. A faulty body check results in loss of possession and a reset to the next-closest court line. 3. Any other form of fighting is prohibited and will result in a card. The severity decides whether the card is yellow or red; it also determines whether a team deserves a penalty shot or a simple loss in possession. Games are restarted from where play was halted; the exact spot will be decided on by the residing referee. No other player may stand within ten feet of the dealer during a mid-play serve. 4. "Stick checks" are allowed only between racquets. A player who strikes another player's body with his or her racquet will be carded and the opposing team will receive a penalty shot. This includes using one's racquet to trip another player. A stick check against another player's helmet is an immediate red card and earns the wounded team a penalty shot on goal. 5. Balls may only be carried for 10 steps, at which point they must be passed. Acceptable passes are to a teammate, to oneself via a rebound, or a shot on goal. 6. One yellow card is a warning. Two result in the player sitting out the remainder of the game. A player who is red-carded is immediately expelled from the ongoing game and must sit out of the next one as well. 7. Exy games for youths and high schoolers require four referees at minimum. From the NCAA level upward six are required, three to either side of the court. 8. Goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands. Players cannot catch, kick, or otherwise interfere with the ball unless using their racquets. Violation of this is a stop-play and switch of possession. A history of Exy: Tetsuji Moriyama and Kayleigh Day met while studying sports management abroad at Fukui University (from University of Connecticut and University College in Dublin, respectively). Exy began as a lark: first an idea, then a class project wherein they recruited classmates and friends to be guinea pigs, and then spreading to after-school teams when they interested enough people.
Exy spread slowly but surely in the Chūbu region as friends and family carried it from one university to another. The first big boom came when it went online. Yoko Sanada, the sport’s first goalkeeper, designed a website and uploaded videos of games. Tetsuji and Kayleigh released an official rules and guidelines book in Japan around the same time. The second burst came when it caught the attention of a local mangaka, who received permission from Tetsuji and Kayleigh to publish a short serialized manga highlighting it.
Exy made its way overseas through online scanlation groups. The first attempts to start teams in the United States were rough: small groups of friends trying to cobble the rules together from translated websites who were making do with whatever gear and stand-in courts they could find. For a while the only Exy racquets could be imported from a company in Japan, so most early players substituted lacrosse sticks when they could. Tetsuji and Kayleigh noticed the growing attention and translated their guidebook to English.
Kayleigh and Tetsuji trained some of their original players to be coaches and designated them local experts, then returned home. Kayleigh scaled back to a part-time student so she could try to introduce Exy to Europe. Tetsuji kept his course load but devoted his evenings and weekends to fundraising and generating interest. He spent his summers recruiting and training and secured funding to bring Exy gear to the United States. He built the first pop-up court at a local recreation center and paid for the Plexiglass walls with his family’s money.
Exy started as street teams, moved into local recreation centers, and slowly made its way into high schools. Bigger universities offered it as a club sport, but no college was yet willing or able to spend time and money on building a full-sized stadium. As Exy spread Tetsuji applied to start the ERC, the Exy Rules and Regulations Committee, so the sport could have official representatives and regulators. He hired two retired referees to help him.
During his last semester Tetsuji reached out to the NCAA, offering himself as a coach and promising the funding for a stadium if they would sign the contracts and take on another collegiate team. In the end he signed with Edgar Allen University in West Virginia. As soon as it was official he reached out again with a challenge to build the first Exy court in America.
No one had missed the enthusiasm for Exy, but the price for a university-sized stadium was astronomical and returns on the investment weren’t a guarantee. In the end only two schools backed Tetsuji: University of Southern California and Pennsylvania State. They recruited coaches from the best of the high school teams and started to build.
Fundraising was a wide scale effort. Street teams, recreation teams, and school teams did local projects and donated their money up the chain. The universities and their new coaches reached out to alumni and contacts in every field. Tetsuji found the biggest supporters when he turned to professional women athletes. He promised them he was bringing a co-ed sport to the national level. When the women got behind it, so did the real money, and Tetsuji had his stadiums.
Castle Evermore was the first stadium completed, with USC’s Trojan Court not far behind it. Pride Court at Penn State experienced delays but the coach continued training and building his team in the meantime. Other universities with established Exy clubs but no stadiums applied to have their teams recognized as NCAA teams. The ERC made a full inspection of club teams, gave feedback on what needed to change to be recognized as a collegiate team, and signed off on twenty-eight other teams.
NCAA Exy officially started the following fall semester. The first game of the season was between the Trojans and Ravens at Castle Evermore, and the Ravens won 13-12. The Trojans, Ravens, and Lions played primarily home games that year so the teams with pop-up courts could visit and play on a real court. By the time the year ended, seven other universities had started progress on stadiums. As the number of teams and stadiums increased, the ERC took steps to break the country into manageable pieces: first by creating four districts, then breaking the teams up by Class I and Class II based on skill. There was some small controversy when Edgar Allen was accepted into the northern district instead of the southeast, but Tetsuji won the argument rather quickly.
The first professional teams were formed around the graduates of the first university teams. Two years later the national team, the US Court, was born. The following year Exy made its first appearance at the Olympics, where Japan took home the gold. All information taken from the extra content on Nora Sakavic's tumblr. Exy is her creation and if you like it, you should give her series, "All For the Game", a look on Amazon; the first book is free. |

11 | SPECTRE GG's Hydra expy, essentially. Spectre is a group that has infiltrated most world governments and high ranking organizations. They are currently trying to break further into the Initiative. They view themselves as the only ones who can properly guide a chaotic world, and they have done exactly that over the past century through use of their prime weapon, Aegis, and other experiments and programs. Founded in the early 1900s, they're your typical sci-fi/fantasy cult with grandiose aims that proclaim to aid humanity while actively fucking everone but themselves over. Nevertheless, most of them do genuinely believe in what they do. A brief timeline of Spectre's history is presented HERE. If you have a character in Spectre and would like to add a noteworthy event, just drop a line in that thread with the description + year it occurred and I will add it to the timeline for everyone to reference! |

12 | HEAVEN Heaven is a hyperadvanced planet in the Valience Galaxy. Its existence, galaxy included, is not known to man; the heaven spoken of amongst humans on Earth refer to a completely different place, one the people of Heaven call the havenplane. The people of Heaven speak babeltongue, a type of allspeak that allow them to transcend language barriers. It has no written form; Heaven's writing borrows its font from transcion, which is considered a dialect when spoken. Heaven is known for its strength in combat and defense of its resource asteroids and stars. The reigning authority in Heaven select children to be groomed into what they call weaponized angels by the age of nine heaven years, which form the backbone of their army. Heaven's army consists of thirteen elite units, and many other foot soldiers. Their soldiers have the skill to defy gravity and perform feats such as 'flying,' as well as the use of an array of abilities commonly associated with angels of the havenplane. Most soldiers are equipped with weapons and armor forged from mithril-4, an ultra-durable isotope of mithril that shines aquamarine under infrared light. In the year 1730 (humanity's 2012 AD), Heaven was destroyed after suffering irreparable damage to its core. The only remaining survivors of Heaven as of that point in time are the seventy members of Unit 1 to Unit 10, who were sent on a mission to colonize a nearby star system for its resources, and Luzifer, the sole survivor of Unit 12. Their present-day fates remain unknown. |

13 | HELL Like Heaven, Hell is also a hyperadvanced planet in the Valience Galaxy. The hell humans speak of on earth is called the hellcloud on Hell. The official language of Hell is also transcion, which exists in both a spoken and written form. They do not use babeltongue, and look down upon those who speak that language. Hell is an intergalactic nation run as a dictatorship. Its leader is Lady Ludysk, a master strategist and domineering politician. Rarely does Hell come into conflict or is forced to go to war; only recently their fight over a resource belt escalated, turning what was originally a small conflict into full-on war. Hell's soldiers possess gravity-related abilities used to hinder opponents. Their signature weapon is a type of double-edged sword forged out of nanonite, an iridescent metal that shines fuschia when under ultraviolet light. Post-destruction of Heaven, Hell was set to engage in full combat with the remnants of Heaven's forces over the Galvanic Belt and its resources, but it is said that Lady Ludysk ordered a temporary ceasefire to consider the assimilation of Heaven's survivors into its nation. |

14 | HUSH Known most commonly by its street name, this gene-silencing narcotic is a bastardised version of the unofficial solution to those with mutations that are either painful, detrimental, or simply unwanted. Through injection directly into the blood, the potent chemicals work to disrupt RNA transcription, and thus, temporarily inhibit metahuman abilities. The unofficial version of this drug was seized by Arkham's ruling gang, and spliced into a weakened narcotic to both expand the drug's possible audience (innocents who simply want to live a normal life as well as junkies under their thumb) and ensure the loyalty of their wallets, whether they like it or not, as the sole producer and provider of the specific drug. As expected, Hush is highly addictive, with those under its influence not only finding the expression of their powers dampened, but their pain tolerance heightened, almost dangerously so. The effects of a single dose (a 5ml syringe worth) last 4-6 hours, depending on the individual. Uncontrolled withdrawal is not recommended as cold turkey effects include but aren't limited to; increased levels of anxiety, restlessness, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, headaches, and more undiscovered side effects that likely result in 'death'. The mafia's rates for Hush are $70 for a week's fix, assuming the user takes two doses per day, with the threat of raising prices ever present. |
