Yolande Florette Hatsu (under the alias Moon Rabbit) is a C-ranked superhero who is best described as a support class, though she fares well as a fighter by herself. She's been registered in the Initiative for three years but is barely holding on there. Her activity is sparse and sporadic, and she's in danger of being bumped back down to D. This is due to her total apathy and lack of motivation. Also a whole lot of self-loathing and insecurity. These days she can hardly bring herself to wake up in the morning, and often wishes she would just die in her sleep. That would solve all her problems.
FRIENDS - Of these, she has... few. At a first glance Yolande is reclusive and cold, which drives away potential camaraderie from the start. It helps that she doesn't have the emotional capacity to care for herself properly, much less care for others. Who wants to be friends with someone who spends hours a day curled up in a fetal position on the floor doing nothing? Not her. She isn't exactly fun to be around. Despite her unempathetic state, though, she truly does want to help others. She does want friends. She just can't make or hold onto them. As a friend, be prepared to suffer cycles of her being clingy one week and then being ashamed and pushing you away another week. There aren't any benefits to befriending her, as far as she's concerned, so why try?
ENEMIES - Though a bitter, brooding person, Yolande isn't hateful, if only because she lacks the emotional intensity for it. Being enemies with her would be a one-sided affair. She's the kind of person who would just lay down and take whatever hits you throw at her without response. Actually, she would probably hope that you'll kill her. Maybe she would be a good punching bag?
LOVERS - Wow, uh. Being her friend is enough of a rocky road. She's attracted to all genders but she has shut down enough to be able to suppress feelings of love. Good luck?
OTHERS - Throw ideas at me. I'm down for pretty much anything with her.
Quinn Dores Abreu is an eight year old civilian who lives on Arkham, which is to say, hell on Earth. He lives with his single, harried mother in a rickety neighborhood in Cherry Hill, where on average one person dies a day probably. Maybe not, but it still sucks over there. Still, they're a very expressive (despite being mute), cheerful, and perseverant child. Though they are a metahuman with limitless potential, they hide this fact out of respect for their mother, who despises metahumans. They are biologically female but identify as nonbinary, just because they feel that gender gets in the way of what really makes a person.
FRIENDS - People who love children flock to them. They're as cute as a puppy and charming as one too. Quietly optimistic, compassionate, and understanding, Quinn is wise for their age but retains all their childish qualities. As far as little kids go, they're a good one. They're always open to make friends. In fact, they'll pursue you doggedly until they befriend you, unless you're some kind of sociopathic monster beyond all hope. It won't be too hard to meet them seeing as they wander about Kingsport and Arkham all the time, out in the open.
ENEMIES - Why would you ever want to hurt this kid? You monster. Quinn tends to get caught in... sticky situations, being a defenseless, wandering child. More often than not, they're abducted by human traffickers, taken for hostage situations, etc. etc. They attract the more heartless of villains. Luckily, there are many superheroes around to save the day! Quinn doesn't hold grudges. Despite their hardships, they simply don't have the capacity to be bitter or hateful.
LOVERS - WOW THEY'RE EIGHT YEARS OLD.
OTHERS - I'm up for anything with this little guy! Wanna abduct him? Sure thing. Wanna save him? Nice. Wanna offer them a lollipop from a white van? Well actually-

Moon Rabbit honestly, i believe these two are more reluctant to be friends in a more layman way. Of course the necessary threads should happen in order to develop such a relationship! 1. Their personalities appear to clash just a tad. Mikael is a reserved person, but that is only when he's working. He can be cold and harsh much like Yolande, but he still has a heart. I can somehow imagine These two to at first become a sort of bitter rival to one another, not particularly knowing why they hate each other. But, it's likely they were paired off in a couple of missions (not like they would have a say into it of course), and learned to at least tolerate one another. Mikael within his Smoke identity tends to be the type of person who would give Yolande a second thought and give her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps even more. 2. They both have a drive where they want friends, but it appears they cannot develop them right off the bat in accordance to their thoughts or what their imagination comes to. Rough around the edges, just still testing waters, I think this is where a sort of psychological development happens between them? (this is a huge maybe, really) The two are equally the same when it comes to wanting friends, but, I feel as if Mikael is the type to want her to be as clingy as she wants and to depend on him as coworkers and as friends. As a more positive outlook on life and everything around him, I feel as if Mikael might be the one to help her out. Little baby steps if he has to! 3. This is a mess, this is what I came up in my head. I am bad at plotting, you can tell my lawyer, Drack that I blame her for everything. But, the ball is in your park now! lowkey didn't reply to this because of their amazing colour scheme of purple, nope, you have the wrong idea whatsoever

MIASMA!!! I
LOVE
YOLANDE!!!!!!!
okay now that i've gotten that out of the way hi i am olly im one of the other ppl in the elevator thread and im HERE TO THROW MY HEROES AT U here i goooo
my first hero is voodoo! kamila is a fellow c-rank, and she is possibly the most obnoxiously cheerful girl on the planet. she essentially wants to be EVERYONE'S friend, and she makes kind of a habit of trying to befriend the tricky ones. it's essentially because she hates to see people lonely and sad, and she'll basically give up huge amounts of time and energy in an effort to try and help people. IT'S PROBABLY NOT GOOD FOR HER but she rly does not care at all. she's fine with clingy and completely ignores being pushed away in favour of not taking no for an answer, so YEAH
and she's already met sigma - the scary a-rank whose real name she can't remember. he does, in fact, have the entire initiative roster committed to memory, so he's aware of her also. he's one of those heroes who has a bit of a disconnect in their public persona vs how he actually is on the job, but he's been with the initiative since the start and he's pretty invested in the rookies - he's going to a lot of trouble to stay neutral in terms of company politics for their sakes. he is essentially something of a mentor to a lot of the kids in the company because he does his best to help them out - i joke about #sigmom but it's pretty much accurate. basically i can see him trying his best to help motivate her and keep her on-target, as well as be an experienced veteran she can talk to about stuff?? it'd be fairly easy to have him take that particular interest in her post-elevator so let me know what u think

SMOKE wowow yeah these two could have a really interesting relationship together!! yolande kinda loathes herself so yeah she would be bitter right off the bat towards mikael bc she sees traits of herself reflected in him. it doesn't help that he seems to be better at functioning normally than her (tho she thinks that about everyone) even--or especially--with these traits. but then as she sees him more around and gets to know him she'll feel bad about her earlier prejudices and try to make up for it by being more agreeable and open and stuff, so then they could become friends.
the road to friendship is a rocky one, tho. she'll be really tentative most of the time, like walking on eggshells, afraid she'll mess smth up. mikael will have to suffer cycles of her being clingy and overly dependent at one point, and then being ashamed about that and shutting him away at another point. and on and on. she'll be really surprised that he wouldn't mind much and even more surprised that he continues keeping her around. it would be nice to have someone in her life who lets her be, well, her, without trying to make drastic improvements in her. baby steps are very welcome and are probably necessary. in turn, she'll try to help him out whenever needed (be a shoulder to cry on if.... he ever cries at all, being a good listener, sacrificing her life for his own, etc.), and stuff.
i'mmmm basically rephrasing everything you're saying but i love love love the idea of these two being bitter rivals turned supportive friends!! how should they meet? or maybe we can say they've already met and are already at the hate stage? anything works with me.
voodoo WADDUP I LOVE ALL UR CHARACTERS TOO??? adorable little buggers, all of them
TO BUSINESS. obviously yolande doesn't get much exposure to cheerfulness so she'll be really taken aback and perplexed by this sudden living sun appearing in her life, kamilla. who won't go away. she'll have no idea how to deal with this lil bundle of light and goodness so she'll try to shut her out in the beginning, like.... dude..... pls go away i'm not worth the trouble... but once she realizes that kamilla isn't gonna give up she'll reluctantly and tentatively open up to her. at first she'll regret it bc too much sun is bad for your eyes but quickly she'll grow to appreciate this source of optimism and spirit, if only in short bursts. it would be really great for her to have someone really cheerful in her life! maybe they could meet on a mission or smth, where kamilla goes to pick her up but yolande's in one of her especially low moods so she won't leave her room so kamilla convinces her to come out?? just an idea, anything works really.
and as for Sigmom (TM) she would be totally flustered and confused about the attention on her?? like wtf.... i'm not worth ur time, u go do ur important hero things like saving the world and i'll just... lie here.... she really admires and respects high ranking heroes tho so she would be a lil more cooperative about opening up to him, bc who is she to refuse the support of a veteran? he could be a total maternal figure role model to her so his motivation and advice and stuff would be super effective??? she would be especially self-conscious about showing weakness in front of him but maybe that will go away a little throughout their interactions. how and where should they meet again?

Dear heavens, if Quinn isn't the most adorable metahuman I've ever seen.
Gosh, I just wanna adopt him so much.
Gruuuuhh.
But, he already has a mother, unfortunately. Hiro would consider Quinn a well-behaved and proper child as well. He would actually be reminded of himself at that age, though he had the tendency to smile less and was much more cautious in comparison. He is a legal servant, of course, and if he takes notice to anything that resembles neglect or abuse or even possible assault of the child he'll invest quite a bit of effort into ensuring Quinn's well-being.
Lemme adopt him plz.
But, yes, I imagine short yet heartwarming encounters. With Hiro perhaps ending up with a small child following him as he handles business around the city.

Quinn
Ok so, I have a few things up for consideration...
1- Since Quinn can potentially have any ability, this means that they could potentially become immortal, ya? This means that Raz (who was born many thousands of years in the future) could potentially know Quinn from their time. Maybe they were friends, or maybe they never crossed paths (reality is a big place, after all). 100% up to you /o/
2- Raz is capable of gene sequencing, making it possible for them to learn of Quinn's massive power potential. Should they learn this, they'd like to make sure that Quinn has the opportunity to grow up as a morally upright person (and will therefore help them out of bad situations whenever they're able).
3- Raz has a device which can be worn by others, allowing them to communicate with Raz through thoughts rather than verbal words -- I'm not sure if Quinn would like that or not.
4- There's a rly cute prompt in the Gazette about metahumans turning into children. Raz has had their genetics altered enough to qualify as a metahuman, so I was thinking that they could first meet each other when Raz is confused and child-sized? Since Raz was born in a society where communication via thought is the norm, they'd also be mute... maybe they can be kidnapped together or something? idk, it just seems like a cute idea to me -- I'm ofc open to alternatives )o)
