so, who is voodoo? a 19-year-old girl from brooklyn named kamila orlova, my friend! born to ukrainian and russian-american parents with a long family history of studying the eldritch arts, kamila has come to kingsport to hone her skills and also mostly stay out of her dad’s way. one golem-animating vigilante in the neighbourhood is probably enough. she’s been part of the initiative for about two years, and she’s still sort of figuring it out. she just wants to help, guys. just try to ignore the fact that her magic is based on dragging spirits back into the mortal realm and it’ll be fine.
FRIENDS: kamila is a bright, bubbly girl, and she adores people - you probably can’t stop her from bowling you over with her enthusiasm at first meeting. friendly, generous and keen to brighten the day of everyone she meets, she’d have friends just like any other young woman. okay, so she’s a c-list hero, but it’s not like there aren’t a bunch of those, and she tries to keep her work and her social life seperate. she just wants to hang out and have fun, guys.
ENEMIES: of course, someone as cheerful as kamila is all the time will naturally grate on some people and come off as unbearably obnoxious. she knows this. she can be a little much, after all. that and there’s a lot of room for her powers to be pretty morally objectionable to a lot of people, ranging from those who pretty reasonably think that the dead should be allowed to stay that way to other supers who claim a degree of dominion over spirit mysticism.
ROMANCE: she’s just 19, so she hasn’t really had that much experience in love. she’s not really given it much thought, either - improving her magics has been the main focus of kamila’s life for so long she’s always kind of put the idea of seeing people on the backburner. she does experience her fair share of crushes, though, and tends to get extremely tongue-tied and embarrassed when encountering them.
OTHER: other magic users! other younger heroes to hang out and get into trouble with! i’m particularly interested in people involved with the darker aspects of magic with kamila - demons, villains, all sorts. go nuts seriously

Welp, I was kinda waiting for this plotter.
So, on one hand, I have Alice, the Electromancer, an electric ghost who is primarily an internet hobo but walks around in the real world, invisible to most people, once in a while... when she isn't feeling depressed about not being noticed, haha. I'm thinking Kamila could probably see Alice? She probably can resist any attempts to control her, though, since she's a weird sort of ghost, but she'd be happy to have someone to pester in the real world, haha.
On the other, I have Justitia, new Initiative hero with a slightly sheltered upbringing and an A-rank which she doesn't really understand the meaning of (and she needs time and an equivalent threat to be really as strong as that rank suggests). She's only a few years older than Kamila, and her powers are magic... well, sorta. More divine blessings than anything else. They could be friends and stuff! ...I suck at plotting.
What do you think?

Electromancer LMAO WATCHER IM SORRY IT ONLY TOOK ME 3 YEARS TO POST IT......
YES Alice THO like. she doesn't rly have to worry anyway kamila's level of control is only basically calling the souls from adjacent planes and binding them into vessels as it stands: she can't actually make them do anything they don't want to. she just asks them nicely basically :') but yes i love that sm. kamila would probably just be like WHAT DO YOU MEAN PEOPLE DONT NOTICE YOU THAT'S SO SAD. DO YOU WANT ME TO HELP YOU DO FUN STUFF WE SHOULD TOTALLY basically she would leap on the chance to pay alice some attention if she's lacking for it she doesn't even care if she looks like she's talking to herself tbh
but Justitia IS SO COOL ALSO WATCHER JSYK. ranks mean little to kamila, to be honest - she's much more of a follower than a leader, and she's more concerned with improving herself than improving her standard or what people think of her, so she doesn't really take much notice. what she would notice is julia's sheltered nature? the girl has no chill so the limited emotional response is like 'pshh' to her, and what do you mean you've never eaten/seen/heard of [thing]? kamila would probably declare herself julia's official guide to the modern world if im honest
you dont suck ily

/dies from compliment overload XD thank youuuuu
So, how would Kamila and Alice meet? I actually have an open thread of Alice just walking around, open to people who might see her, so you can use that? It's here. Otherwise, if it's not a completely coincidental meeting, Kamila could come investigating reports of a ghost haunting computers and whatnot, or on the other hand, Alice could come snoop on the new Initiative hero who supposedly can see ghosts?
As for Julia... they could do a mission together for a thread? Or maybe just the aftermath of the mission, where Kamila pulls her to experience stuff she hasn't managed to try yet? Or maybe it doesn't even have to be the aftermath of the mission, maybe she's just exercising since her ideas of fun are very narrow, and Kamila comes to bother her?
What do you think? ...I keep saying that hahaha

okay so obviously any good wizard worth their salt tries to take on an apprentice at some point, or multiple apprentices, or just... like-minded invididuals
with that in mind, faust would probably seek out people with necromancy-like powers, or zombie-based one; she has enough resources to find out these things.
first things first, she'd try to get to voodoo alone / as alone as possible and test out her abilities and see if she's worth her salt? if that sounds solid to you. faust is a bit much though so you might end up with some zombie problems.
how's that sound?

Faust MAN I LIKE IT. poor kamila tbh - faust is terrifying and kamila is just a slightly overenthusiastic teen trying 2 help people. BUT I LOVE MAKING MY CHARACTERS SUFFER AND MAKE BAD DEICISIONS, and kamila's definitely someone who lets her ambitions overwhelm her common sense. getting her alone wouldn't be that hard, and i'm sure the offer of learning more about the one power she doesn't know inside-out would be enough to make her cautiously accept.
bad decisions goooo

Welp, re: Alice, if you could post in the open, that would be nice! It's been up for so long, haha.
Also, I'm all for the dragging thing for Julia! Could you start it?
Thanks for plotting with me!
