about me twenty-three - metahuman - villain - homosexual friends comic doesn't really keep too many of these around. those that can call themselves her friends are often casual ones at best; those where they have a mutual usefulness for each other that became a bit more. marisa keeps up a million walls between her core and those around her, but it is possible for people to peel back one or two and get to know her. its far more likely to be on friendly working terms with her; hero or villain, vigilante or civilian, she is willing to have a decent working relationship with you as long as you keep quiet and keep out of her way. enemies this is pretty easy: exist and annoy her. marisa is quick to ire and even quicker to bite back with her sharp tongue and balled fists. if you've ever done anything to wrong her, or anything to remind her of her own vulnerabilities or shortcomings, you'll have to endure a torrent of rage and someone who doesnt mind fighting anywhere. really, if you want to be on her bad side, i'd love it; this is where all the fun is at. lovers tba tba tba others I will add any misc. info I think is relevant in the future.

I LOVE HER? ? I'm sorry it's 1 am and I've been up all day so I'm useless but I love her and I want to throw both my characters at her. I can see her and Aegis being mutually useful to each other while he's still with Spectre, and then maybe she encounters him again once he's broken free? (He's just a Winter Soldier expy if you need a reference.) I plan for him to become a vigilante so we can see what happens there. Thalia is most likely going to fall under the enemies category but idk...if they met as civilians first, maybe something could happen?

aegis and comic meeting sounds great, considering comic is pretty disillusioned with things like the alliance and spectre as a whole; she doesn't see the real point in working for people with absolute control over their lives if said lives dont matter. they can work together either out of mutual circumstances or she's getting paid to do something. if they first meet when he's finally broken out, she can even give him a place to crash since she knows ALL about hanging up the hat and trying to go dark for a bit, even if she isnt aware of the trouble it could bring. and of course my angry pissbaby always needs more people to yell at and get beat up by, so VALKYRIE is a welcome enemy, especially since I doubt Comic can break through that psyshield as she is now. if you want them to meet up as civvies, the easiest place to meet up with comic is at a bar, although i can reasonably have her anywhere.

Comic yeah meeting aegis as he is rn is a great argument for staying uninvolved with spectre lol. i like the idea of them working together in mutual circumstances, because he's surprisingly good at that trained to use all tools available although not the best conversationalist, and then it'll be a foundation for when she meets him when he's slightly less brainwashed, although still crazy. arrrrrgh i just missed ur bar open, didn't i. fml. i can start a civvies thread for them though, if you want, and we can see what happens.

VALKYRIE please feel free to make an civvie thread for them <3 I can reasonably shove her anywhere, just don't expect her to be very happy about more crowded places and meeting aegis while they are in the middle of some fucked up bloody mission would really put the fear into her about spectre, especially if comic is stuck along as some kind of victim of circumstance; like, she wasnt even involved, but fuck now there are heroes everywhere and shes also being targetted

HITTING YOU UP NOT FOR COMIC BUT FOR Faust (yo its not like she has her own plotter so idk where to go ok)
ABYSSINIAN & Faust K'shiel's Spectre's biggest headache. K'shiel was one of their projects that retains free will. He's immune to all varieties of mind control, compulsion, and brainwashing, and he more or less hates Spectre. He sticks around though, because he likes the other projects, and he doesn't really know any other life anyway.
I don't think he's scared of much, but I do think he's actually scared of Faustine. He gives the scientists that've worked on him hell in a handbasket on a regular basis, but it'd make sense for someone on the Spectre team to be able to tell him what to do. He has no activation words, but good old respect and fear will do the trick. There's also a small chance that K'shiel actually likes Faustine, which could also explain obedience.
He's fae in origin as well, and if Faust is head of all things magic within Spectre, maybe she had a part in securing him as an asset when he was born?
neo & Faust So... what's the nature of Faust's magic? Is it learned? Neo makes robots, but I kinda want her to start making ~magic~ robots because Electromancer is going to be a thorn in her side (and any character that can short circuit a robot is too rough of a hard counter), so she'll be looking for a way to fix such an obvious flaw.
But yeah, Neo is a lower/mid-tier villain whose deal is knowledge absorption. She's spends most of her time bored out of her mind because she's already learned practically everything a mundane human can learn. As a villain, she builds battle robots (perhaps that's of some interest to Spectre? she's currently having an encounter with S-K43 that should lead to her making repairs for her) and sends them out to steal materials to build more battle robots.
Neo primarily respects knowledge, so I think Faustine would be one of the few people she'd genuinely admire. If you're up for a student--albeit one that can learn everything in an instant--that'd be awesome. If not, I'd still be interested to see how they'd interact./blockquote]

neo yeah my b i'm working on getting a plotter up for her sometime this weekend if i can, but oh well onto the plot ABYSSINIAN lets be honest, Faust is scary. she's like a scientist wizard who smiles and talks about poetry while having her hand in the middle of a cadaver's guts. on the subject of K'shiel, i imagine she would keep a neutral, friendly relationship towards him, and i can get behind her having some level of influence over him. no real way to command him, but a stern look and advice is enough to dissuade him from doing anything against her wishes. she would be more than willing to address him by his name, K'shiel, instead of any spectre codename given. also, yes, she was probably there when he was pulled in from magicfaelandplace and when the experiments began. she proooobably wasnt in charge of anything magic then, but by virtue of immortality and dedication she certainly is now. two things i see already in my sleep-deprived haze is that faust probably constantly bugs k'shiel for information about his biology and stuff, always trying to take notes on him when/if he sleeps and such, and second, that she allows k'shiel to hide in her "lab" when he doesn't want to do any spectre stuff. he can freely come and go in her areas, since she's probably put The Fear into him on if he breaks or messes anything up. -- neo Faust's magic is entirely self-taught, but she does have a natural aptitude? like, i see it as, anyone can "learn" certain magics, and faust is capable of the generic variety - summon a fireball, small teleports, levitation, basic spells and cantrips from classic magic, but she's a genius in necromancy and similar schools of magic. robotics certainly seems like an interest for spectre [tho idk what all deads is up to with spectre as a whole so thats for them] but the idea of faust having a student of sorts would be really interesting and challenging for her, because she would view the whole thing as a learning experience. while not gifted with neo's learning powers, she is very much interested in magical acadamia, and likely has a whole library of magical and scientific texts - mostly medical, because knowing how a body works makes it much easier to weaponize and resurrect. and so even if neo absorbed all of the knowledge on magic and such, she would still need to learn how to apply it, and all the do's/don't and protocols and teacher stuff. having a student to instantly learn it would ease everything up, and this also gives neo a good in to spectre / any kind of plot you want to pursue there.

Faust
Murrr. I don't have a good idea yet what Faust and Alice could do if they meet, beyond the usual Alice being happy that someone could see her... and then being grossed out by all the corpses, haha. She'd probably turn down any offers to get put in a dead body XD
On the other hand, if someone gets Alice's villain wanted ad and they are a part of Spectre or no one ever does and they're an NPC in Spectre Alice will probably become an enemy of theirs, sooner or later. It'll also be problematic for her if Neo finds ways to proof her robots with Faust's help, haha. They could also meet when Neo meets Faust and she kinda barges on their discussion? Uwa, sorry this isn't very good yet.

love me father. love me and plot with me with all of ur characters. idk what to really put here cause its like... 2 am and i'm pissy and tired. but i think that comic and faust need a little bit of demon in their life. maybe they can con some free phoenix downs out of him. or he could get their souls. or neither of those. tbh i'm not v good at this. ABYSSINIAN & Faust I AM GUCCI WITH ALL OF THAT. Absurdly enough, he's actually only six-years-old (yeah, he grew up really quick), so Faust might very well have been in charge of magicky things when Spectre got a hold of him, unless her influence is relatively recent.
Not sure we need to thread immediately, but he's currently in the Phoenix event thread for Spectre which none of the rather significant number of Spectre characters have been posting in, although I'm not sure K'shiel has very much to contribute in that one. Otherwise, he's gone a bit AWOL from Spectre currently, and I imagine he's missing for anywhere from a few days up to a few weeks (I've been keeping it vague since it's pretty the only window of time where I can freely thread him with non-Spectre characters) before he heads back with Aegis. He checked in with Wildfire, so Spectre presumably knows he intends to go back eventually, and he does manage to save Aegis' ass, but otherwise, he's probably in trouble?
neo & Faust Awesome. I've been keeping an eye out from magicky people Neo could study from, but most so far seem to have inherent bloodline magic rather than the learned kind, so you're my hero.
Yeah, I'm not sure where I'd go with Neo making inroads with Spectre since she's not the world-changing cultist type. Her ambitions stop at wanting an intellectual challenge to make her days less dull. Spending day in day out learning how to use magic is her idea of fun. As said in Electromancer's wanted ad, she'll also be specifically looking for a way to stuff a digital ghost into a mechanical body, so while she'd be interested in all types of magic, necromancy is what's got her attention for now.
Presumably, Neo finds out about Faust through S-K43 (or Wildfire since Neo's supposed to get him upgrades, but we haven't started that thread yet). She hasn't actually met Alice yet, because I'm a shitter that needs to reply faster, but liquid time means we could thread Neo and Faust anyway. Lmk if/when you're down?

Clyde im gunna smack u on skype for ideas but i think faust and clyde could get along in a very apathetic way <3 ABYSSINIAN im gunna post in that spectre thread next chance i get, and we can go from there, ya? neo gimme a neo thread anytime, anyday, and i'll add it to my list of replies. how they meet is still actually a bit up in the air, but i'm asuuming neo is resourceful enough to piece together hints and sightings and data and w/e to probably pop in on faust when she's in the middle of raiding a medical storage warehouse for bodies or whatnot.

Faust: Here I am with Jack, to talk about a potential thread set centuries-ish ago with Faust? Yesterday you mentioned a few possible avenues, so I was hoping to work something out. I remember talking about vampires and people from the village and/or Spectre stuff, but I can't recall it rn lol. I'd imagine back then, whoever Jack was, he'd inherently have a good grasp of life-death and/or eternal life at a cost if we're going the research assistant/former colleague route?

Post by Faust on Jun 19, 2016 5:00:07 GMT
jack we had two-three ideas, i'll detail'em here. the first was the research assistance/acquaintance kind of thing; jack was gunna be some kind of vampire or other immortal/demi-immortal, while faust was just entering her odd immortality status, perhaps still testing to see if she could die or not; alternatively, its before she has achieved that status, and is still researching her dark arts. the second was jack playing the roll of one of the people charged with executing faust when she was initially arrested by her birth kingdom, which was a failure overall. they tried to kill her twenty-two times before she escaped, and i imagine trying to kill an immortal would be... trying on someone like a simple guard or kings' man. the third was jack being one of the spectre experiments that failed/died, which leaves a lot to happen. did faust try to bring them back several times? did she attempt to extend their life or ease their pain? who knows

OK SO MAD PROPS GOING ON HERE Morricone's whole powers come from Manitous - they're spirits created by psychic trauma, or mental illnesses, that kind of stuff. Usually they manifest around people and feed on their emotional or psychological outlet, until they become a threat to them - or the surroundings of that person. Then Morricone has to pokemon them in his own increasing collection of madness fuelled pocket monsters. Maybe Comic gets one because of how mentally distressed or messed up she is? I mean she ain't havin' a very good time, so maybe a Manitou starts forming, until weird shit happens to her, and she could maybe die from it, or be a danger to others. Morricone, with his trusty Manitou-sense, figures out that she's got one, and tries to exorcise the hell out of her - and then, I guess, shenanigans.

The Devil's Advocate i wanna be the very best like no one ever was dun dun dun dunanyways, yeah, this actually appeals to me! comic accidentally getting some kind of spirit leech that feeds off of her depression and inability to properly express her emotions in a healthy way is a great plot point to work with. the problem comes from the fact that comic hates magic in all of its form. she can't stand people who use magic, and this would even include the devil's advocate. if he tried to approach her to talk about her weird spirit creature or how he could exorcise it, she'd probably flip him the double bird and backflip into hell first. so the whole issue could come from marisa's refusal to even let morricone near here, while her personal gengar wrecks shit.
